Katie Couric accuses Ground Zero mosque opposition of Muslim bigotry

I’m not sure I’ve ever been more offended by Katie Couric than from this clip. She is accusing those who are opposed to the Ground Zero mosque of bigotry against ALL Muslims. How absurd! When Couric opens her mouth she tells the world how much of a fool she is.

And then she has the audacity to say that we need a Muslim version of the Cosby show to help us like Muslims more? We’re not talking about skin color. We are talking about a government framework/religion that is very oppressive. If she would take two seconds and do her research on the middle east and what they believe, she would understand that the Ground Zero mosque was about a man who is a lying about his intentions. It’s not even about Islam so much as it is about a man who wants to push Shari’ah Law in the United States of America. And that’s what we were opposed to.

Ugh these dimwitted news people make me sick!

I also think sort of the chasm, between, or the bigotry expressed against Muslims in this country has been one of the most disturbing stories to surface this year. Of course, a lot of noise was made about the Islamic Center, mosque, down near the World Trade Center, but I think there wasn’t enough sort of careful analysis and evaluation of where this bigotry toward 1.5 billion Muslims worldwide, and how this seething hatred many people feel for all Muslims, which I think is so misdirected, and so wrong — and so disappointing. …

Maybe we need a Muslim version of The Cosby Show.

I know that sounds crazy, I know that sounds crazy. But The Cosby Show did so much to change attitudes about African-Americans in this country, and I think sometimes people are afraid of what they don’t understand…
