THat's because she's held to a different standard. She doesn't have to actually advocate and defend a coherent policy position because she's ... well, Sarah Palin. And if she gets something wrong, then it's the "lamestream media" conspiring to make her look bad.

Powers has seen her unsupportable liberal positions torn to shreds on live television so many times over the past two years that perhaps she's starting to awaken. Not that I would put money on it just yet, but I've definitely noticed less of a kookishly left slant to her opinions lately....and at times (like this one) she's even managed to sound downright reasonable.
If I remember correctly, when Michelle Malkin first started HotAir, she had a little "chat" video show that was sort of a conservative version of "The View". I am pretty sure that Kirsten Powers was on that show. Maybe she was supposed to be their left-wing Elizabeth Hasselbeck, I don't know. In any case, she does seem to have some connections and/or friendships with conservatives, as do many people on both the left and the right (See Mary Matalin and James Carville), so she is not a total libtard.
I think Kirsten Powers kind of softened after her smackdown by Megyn Kelly. Maybe our Megyn actually knocked some right sense into her brain with that dressing down.....
I can’t believe that Kirsten Powers actually said that, as a far leftwing liberal Fox News pundit-cater.. as that is what refreshing.. to hear liberals say the truth for once, and admit they’re being beat by the very person whom they have nothing but disdain and rampant rabid foaming-at-the-mouth, hatred for.. which is making Gov. Palin’s successful Tour, all the more sweet, especially when she turns it on in the 2012 Presidential campaign.. using the same tactics and strategy of bypassing and ignoring the MSM press, which will just make even more rabid with hatred, as they see the one whom they hate the most, beat and best them, by going around them, and ignoring them, by going straight to the American People.

These pundits all seem to be jockeying for they 2012 consultancies and role to play in 2012 election cycle.
The stalwarts have run out of gas. It is hard to get invited to Fox segments simply defending Barack Hussein Obama and the great march to Statism.

Scoop, I will agree that overall Fox has been good to Sarah. But still, I did not get it yesterday when Shep Smith and Carl Cameron were referring to Governor Palin as Contributor Palin. Shouldn't that be Former Alaska Governor and Fox News Contributor Sarah Palin?
Shep Smith and Carl Cameron are the 'other side' of fair and balanced. They are a couple of the liberals in the group - don't you remember Cameron's gossip about Palin right after the 2008 election - positively gleeful to report any dirt campaign workers could dredge up, or make up about her. Double yuk on both those guys, but no surprise. Contributor Palin indeed...
Cameron is the doofus who gleefully reported that Palin thought Africa was a country and that she opened her hotel room wearing a robe during the 2008 campaign, not knowing that both stories were put out by a non-existent campaign staffer.
Smith is just a liberal a-hole.
