Just a note from the nursery here at Bellevue. Our Primal Scream Therapy Unit appears to be back on track with near 100% participation of our two day old patients.While we were slightly concerned that the basinets had been rendered too comfortable , a quick removal of the soft blankets that we were previously granted to all patients seemed to encourage their return to participation. We now only allocate blankets after the individual can scream full throated ( on the Pavorotti scale ) for a period of not less than two hours. We here at Bellevue are committed to ensuring that our babies are offered their best opportunity to compete for jobs in the global job market of the future.

If my wife and I had children, which we don't, there would be no way in heck I would put them in the public education system. They would be home-schooled!
The younger they get them the easier it is to brain wash them. Ask Lenin. Ask Stalin. Ask Hitler. Ask Mao. All have quotes and commentary to that effect. Look it up.
Kindergarten teacher friend of mine (who homeschooled all her kids and is only now teaching after they've grown up) told me, "It has nothing to do with education, and everything to do with control and indoctrination."
We need to get those 4 yr olds ready to major in anthropology, women studies, black studies, perverted sex studies, Medieval French Lit., Radio /TV production, exercise specialist, Spanish and all the other jobs that lead to being are barber, "retail specialist", car salesman, or bartender/restaurant server for the mere cost of $80+K.
If we want to be #1 in science, we need to require 4 years of math, 4 years of science in high school, expansion of our Science, Medical, and Engineering departments in our universities and limiting of the college curriculum for these courses and majors. We need as many folks graduating in aeronautical engineering as women studies, political science or anthropology or any of the other degrees mentioned above. I don't mean that we should eliminate all liberal arts. We still need folks in the science, medical and engineering professions who know the history of our country, how it operates, and how to write and make intelligent arguments. It is all to often, those arguing (legislators) are simply clueless as to how stuff works in the real world.
The University of Arizona, in Tucson, has a number of idiotic majors, but my favorite is Hip Hop music. I'm not kidding. That's a legitimate major at the U of A.

Just as Obama’s quick-bedding daddy abandoned him, he wants the pre-schooler separated from his mother as early as possible. He somehow knows that a child’s beliefs about the world are formed during these years. If the yougster’s beliefs about reality are formed by his mother, the child will believe in personal freedom. If Obama sticks him in a government pre-school environment, he will believe in the primacy of the collective. Obama fires up another cigarette and smiles.
The Imperial Tyrant in the WH wants to endoctrinate them young just like Hitler did! The kinder(German for children) are easy to manipulate and brainwash!!! Just look at his own upbringing...Rules for Radicals...Dreams of My Father...Bill Ayers...Rev. Wright...and the list goes on!
I totally agree with Charles - kids need a few 'years' for both physical and mental growth - Let them have "Kid Imaginations" they'll have plenty of school time at age 5 (or some, 6).

We already have one where I live, in a western suburb of Chicago. An absolutely

More teachers for the unions; more democratic voters. Its all a sham.
And it will take more jobs away from the private sector, raise our tax
dollars, etc. Right now if a parent sends their child to "kindercare", etc.
the parent pays for it. When the government provides the schooling, all of
us pay for it. Where I live our real estate taxes pay for schooling and they
are already high.

Children in Our Program
All children, ages 3-5 (but not eligible for kindergarten) are possible candidates for attendance at the Ann Reid Early Childhood Center. We accept children with or without disabilities, although there are limited openings for community/tuition paying students. There are three different ways the program is funded:
1. Community students pay tuition
2. ‘Preschool for All’ students are eligible for free preschool program that is
funded by an Illinois state grant
3. Students with an Individualized Educational Program (IEP) are eligible for the
preschool program
Community Student Enrollment
Community Students:
1. must be three years old by September 1st of that school year
2. must be a resident of Naperville School District 203
3. pay $235.00 per month for September, 2011 through May, 2012
(subject to change by the School Board)
4. must be toilet trained (no pull-ups)
5. attend four days a week, Monday through Thursday (morning 8:30-11:00am,
afternoon 12:15-2:45pm)
6. are not provided transportation or after school care
Registration is closed for the 2011-2012 school year. Please check the website in January, 2012 for information on open enrollment for the 2012-2013 school year.
I watch my two year old niece with her iPad. Emma doesn't need government slowing her down or diluting her creativity. Emma has Two Parents who are married, educated, working, saving, and, of all things, they have A Plan. 0bama would never promote this senario as a recipe for success. Responsible parents is so yesterday.

The future economy of any nation, depends on three things.
1) Population
2) Capital (ie, investment)
3) Ideas
Population, because you need workers to produce goods.
Capital, because without investment, there are no factories and no machinery to produce goods.
Ideas, because without ideas for new products, the workers and the factories, are without meaning.
Japan's economy failed, not because of Capital. It failed for a lack of workers. A low birth rate insures a shortage of future workers to produce goods.
Even though China seems like a juggernaut, it too, faces the same dilemma. The one child policy that China adopted many years ago, insures that they will have no labor force in as little as ten years.
China holds most of our debt. In as little as ten years, they will be in an economic decline. They still have perhaps the largest standing Army in the world. Most of their technology, having been stolen from Western sources.
The picture I have just described, would best be described as a powder keg, only needing the slightest spark, to ignite it.
Read Greg Ip's book, THE LITTLE BOOK OF ECONOMICS. That is where all you just finished reading, came from.
Another essential book is "The Mystery of Capital" by de Soto. It explains much about why the third world is third world, and the bankers will always keep it there without the availability of capital and protected property.
This is what I remember in preschool, played outside, made play-dough, ate play-dough, ate PB&J, and read(looked) at Dinosaur books, took a nap..

What every 4-year old needs are parents who love them, read to them, spend time with them, dedicate their energy to them. When are we going to realize we have a family problem in this country that fuels our welfare, crime and poor education problems?
0 to 5 is where discipline and responsibility it taught.

You don't think they do right now? My 6 year old grandson is bringing 'subtle' sex education stuff from Kindergarten. My daughter didn't catch on to it at first. I watch his kids shows on TV and if you really WATCH them instead of using them for a 'babysitter', there's a message there.

Yup.Parents need to monitor closely what their children are watching,reading,and hearing.They are being subliminally brainwashed beginning at preschool levels.
My kids have grown.Television is only one part of the equation.magazines,books,movies,school,internet,music.The message is everywhere.
If you have a grade school aged child that uses the computer, MONITOR EVERYTHING they look at. In some cases, it will scare you to death. I had 2 granddaughters living with me (while their parents sorted out some marital problems, which I'm happy to say they did), and they were watching and reading things that grade school kids have no business being near. Some of it, subtly tailored to attract them.
Turn off the da&n television set. What is wrong with you people? Don't you realize that the airwaves exist -- in these days -- solely to indoctrinate EVERYONE into the Marxist mindset???
Monitor what they're watching??? Turn the damn thing off.
