***UPDATE: More Obama condescension of the American people***
Obama used his bully pulpit this morning to continue to make it seem like he’s the only adult in the room and put pressure on the Republicans to make a deal with tax increases or risk default. Obama said the time is now, that we must rip the band-aid off, eat our peas:
Said the man who has waited until the last minute to take this seriously. I guess he couldn’t give up his golf game.
Obama continues to lecture in condescending ways, as always, and I’ve yet to hear Republicans hit back by saying that the reason we need to raise the debt limit is because his excessive spending that has failed to stimulate anything except our debt. Just that statement would resonate so well with the American people and put Obama back on the defensive.
I will say that I finally heard Boehner this morning use Marco Rubio’s line, that we need to increase taxpayers not taxes. That’s a good sign and a good line.
