And wishy-washy on gun control. I’m not quite clear on his stance as he has never really clearly or I should say directly made his position, but talking points. I do know that law abiding citizens who wish to access their 2nd amendment rights, own a gun, find it very hard to do so in New Jersey with the very strict gun control laws. They did ban assault weapons and Christie campaigned against those who wanted to repeal it. I do like him and his no nonsense approach with the unions. But, there are some questionable positions.

The man that we need to run is Congressman Allen West. We need to raise our voices loudly and talk him into running for POTUS. He tells it like it is, is definitely not politically correct, is honorable, principled, a proven strong leader, could walk circles around Obama in a debate and the race card cannot be used on him!
Please help to persuade/draft him to run for POTUS before it is too late for him to enter the race. He is the person we need now, before it is too late for our country. I am Canadian. I follow American politics as I believe that ‘so goes America/ so goes the world’ That is not to say that I am ignorant of what is going on in my own country, it’s just that our government just got elected and we are not going to have an election for at least 4 years federally.
As an outsider with no vote I would love to see a Palin/West ticket. It would make me feel secure both financially and militarily. I hope to see a resurgence of liberty and freedom in the US, then my countries fellow libertarians will have more to point to for example, not that our leftist media will pay any attention to the facts either. I get most of my news from the internet.

Wow, I disagree with a lot of you guys. Chris Christie would bust this thing wide open. He’s got balls. As far as the credit downgrade in NJ this happens in the beginning stages when you’re setting your pocket book straight. When I lost my job my credit got downgraded and had to cut a lot of things which hurt. People wanted Reagan out during his first two years because getting back on the right track hurts. After all that he became the president with the biggest landslide victory in US HISTORY. His state will rebound after the pain is gone. He’s right for our country. I guess you guys think the two frontrunners would be better than a tough big balls guy who takes care of business? As far as his weight, I don’t pick people by how much they eat. That’s the problem we gave here. We say we want people who make things happen and look great also? His stance on AGW alone makes him the wrong choice. The biggest boost to the economy we could get is energy policy. We need to free up our own resources. That’s why I support Sarah Palin. She’s the only one I trust to do it. Energy underlines and permeates every aspect of our economy from the cars we drive to the food we eat. I totally agree. Christie is the type that the more you get to know him the less attractive he is. We all loved Christie because we’re all so used to being beaten down and walked all over that his strength was inspiring. Here was a Republican who wasn’t afraid to go on the attack. Seems to me people jumped on a Christie candidacy solely because he focused on fixing NJs finances right away, standing up to anyone who would try to block him. While budgets and spending are of paramount importance in today’s climate, a candidate needs to be roundly scrutinized on all issues. I think Christie should get into the race if he wants, but Palin is the one needed in the race. Her performance aside (which I expect to be solid), the benefit to the GOP is a significantly larger audience to watch these great conservative candidates and hear their ideas.

I do not see Christie going anywhere as he’s mostly a loudmouth bully. His record in NJ appears to be mostly talk and little action or accomplishment. Besides, his history, like Perry’s won’t stand up to scrutiny.
According to Newsweek, Chris Christie is now reconsidering a run and will decide within two weeks. All of this because people are still begging him to get in the race. Levin says fine, if he wants to get it, then let’s see how he holds up on the issues. Let’s see if conservatives embrace him.
