What’s so sad and pathetic is that conservatives’ minds can’t wrap around the concept of complexity. Yes, the Tea Party is full of white racists, but that does not mean that all Tea Partiers are racists, nor does that necessarily mean that the Tea Party itself is a racist organization.
Many Tea Partiers are blatantly racist – Allen West? Well, it’s harder to say. We know he hates Muslims, which makes him an unapologetic bigot. (And bear in mind the subtle difference between racism and bigotry; also bear in mind that “race” doesn’t actually exist, so it’s tough to pin down an accurate definition for “racist.”)
In other words, Allen West may not be racist against blacks, but he is bigoted against Muslims. Oh, and he is a CONVICTED WAR CRIMINAL.

Finally!!! Somebody brings up the issue of immigration and the Fall of the Roman Empire! Thank you Allen West!
America, you better wake up and wake up quick. Just like the Barbarians virtually walked into Rome unimpeded and basically took over, so too are we under similar circumstances. Read your history, learn from history. Rome became weak and ineffective through its prolonged and very costly military campaigns to keep the Pax Romana throughout their empire. Rome became corrupt politically and socially, devaluing their citizens to the point of open murder in the coliseums. Rome ultimately fell because they lacked vigilance and concern over keeping their borders secure.
Barbarians have already invaded America! Our corrupt leaders say WE are the problem, and they are indifferent towards stopping the influx of illegal immigrants, including drug thugs, crime syndicates, and as West correctly points out terrorists. Listen up! It's not the poor peasant looking to America to provide work so they can feed their family that is the issue or problem, it is the other elements I mentioned that disguise themselves and move across the border establishing strongholds in our own country that are growing in strength and numbers.
And, we have a president who allows the Mexican president to dictate to us our own border policies! Just like the oil spill that is flowing and growing into the gulf, so too if we do not effectively and permanently seal and secure our border with Mexico, we will have a disaster that covers all of America. This problem is no longer unique to the border states, this cancer has spread virtually throughout and unimpeded throughout our country.
So, rather than just being a clanging gong and clashing cymbal in the dialectic blogosphere, let me offer some proposals:
1. ONLY legal and documented immigrants will be allowed to enter the U.S. We welcome and celebrate the continuination of a long history of legal immigration in this country. We reject the idea that any person has a “human right” to enter America illegally, thus being entitled to the same rights as a legal alien (immigrant) or citizen.
2. The federal government will permanently station Army, Marine, Navy, and Air Force battalions in the states of Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California, for the specific purpose of protecting and defending a secured border. If the federal and/or respective state's governments are unwilling to provide for the common defense, through military or National Guard intervention, then the people of the United States will assert their rights to form a civilian militia to provide and enforce immigration and border protection according to the laws of the land.
3. There will be established numerous entrance stations for Mexican Nationals (or other nation of origin individuals) to enter legally into the United States along the U.S. and Mexico border. The military, National Guard, or civilian militia will provide oversite and direction in the management of entrance stations in conjuction with existing border patrol agents. Any individual found attempting illegal entrance into the U.S. will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. The same individuals, if endeavoring in hostile actions against military, guard, militia, patrol, or American citizens, will be subject to “like-measure” response.
4. There will an amnesty period of 6 months to 1 year for individuals currently in America illegally to register and submit to a full background investigation, at local immigration centers nationwide. After registration, which if deemed to be no threat to the U.S., have no existing felony crimes, or wanted by the Mexican authorities (or any other nation of origin), shall be granted legal status and all rights and privileges thereof. After the amnesty period expires, any undocumented person shall be subject to arrest, criminal prosecution, deportation, and permanent “non-entrance” status. Any person, at registration, who after thorough background investigation, is deemed to be a threat to the U.S. shall be subject to immediate criminal prosecution.
Just a few rambling thoughts to hopefully spur commentary and constructive debate…….

How about this? We establish a zone along the US-Mexican Border extending 20 miles north from the border and call it The National Ordinance Proficiency Testing Range, post warning signs every half mile(facing south) in English,Spanish,French,Russian,German and Portuguese, just to avoid accusations of racial profiling. (even though that country to the south is Mexico) Then rotate the armed forces through it for live fire practice. I know horrible, insensitive and inhumane right? Did I miss anything?

Great idea, but I see a couple problems with it…for one thing….more and more in this Country can’t read past a 4th Grade level because of the horrible mess the Public Schools are in, second, our History is being re-written as we speak to teach the kids the RIGHT history lessons…yahhh…right

First, America is not a continent.

Jealous of Obama? How, Why and Where? In our seven (imaginary) states with one left to go (excellent grammar btw) that Obama may be more popular in than LTC West is? Or might it be in terms of their personal achievements and/or accomplishments? Like their academic records, for example, which I’m sure Colonel West has made available to both his constituents and to the msm which just adores him so, while Obama’s academic records remain under lock and key, “just” two years into his first term as POTUS. I wonder though what the left’s and at its wholly-owned subsidiary (known as the msm’s) reaction would’ve been, had Dubya done the same with His academic records for the first two years of his first term as President, with what we experienced during them? It probably would’ve cooked up Another Dan Rather story I reckon.
