Another big foreign policy "win" for Obama and his chief lackey, Susan Rice. Way to go, team! Any more "successes" like this Palestinian vote at the UN, and Israel will cease to exist. Who knows, maybe that's what Obama, Clinton, and Rice wanted all along.

Read through all of these comments; of course we're all hoping and praying for Israel, but we need to realize how strange this world has become. I NEVER believed, for one milisecond, that I would be mourning again for this country. I NEVER believed, for one minute, that a president of this country would be allowed to continue his destructive path against my Roman Catholic faith (please know that ALL faiths will suffer). Many things I NEVER would've believed could happen have, in fact, happened. What's ahead for Israel?? For Jerusalem?? What's ahead for any of us?? The One Comfort we have is that God is in Control. I re-learned a sad lesson on 11-06-12: never say NEVER.

Should the Ottoman Empire & other past Islam powers be demonized & such for invading & controlling the Levant more than 1,000 years ago? How about the Romans before that? Why is Jerusalem supposedly important to Muslims? It was not a significant city in their history. It was for Christians, but they are peaceful, despite some occasional hypocrisy.
After having occupied/living in the area for 3,000 years, the Jewish peoples finally had a country in 1948, w/UN approval, decades after the Ottoman Empire lost WWI & many nations were created, w/much of land in limbo, being part of the British holdings, & the original plans were for a larger Israel & the land meant for those whom came to consider themselves Palestinians (a Roman name), went to Jordan & Syria, et al.
Should the north Africans be bombed or other because of the Barbary Pirates.
Why are women & gays not more against Sharia & the Muslim practices that are demeaning, painful & deadly to them?
How much ignorance of history & current conditions/events is there by the Western masses? Why does the LMSM avoid reporting so many items?

With Obama in the White House, I'm afraid any "help" given in this battle will be to the Palistinians. My thoughts and prayers are with the Israelis, I wish there was more I could do to help them.

I can't read the PDF on this computer and it's got a major problem in that it won't run the windows installer or Windows search indexer. I can't really search or install anything on this computer now. It's only a matter of time before it dies. :-(

I wonder if one could breed attack pigs, and watch pigs, who'd defend one's property while also providing nourishment in hungry times.
I think an attack pig might see off intruders, same as a watch dog. They are really intelligent, so could be trained to discern friend from foe.

Aww, I am sorry, Wolfie - both for your PC being on its last legs (been there, know how that feels ...), and for not being able to see these ancient breeds.
OK - the Tamworths are russet coloured all over, and just a bit hairy. They look very beautiful, are rather slim, and are apparently very tasty. It's an old British breed, which the modern pig factories don't like because they don't grow fat enough fast enough.
The Berkshires are a very ancient British breed - allegedly their meat was fed to Cromwell's troops. They are big-bodied, mostly black, with pale trotters and a squished nose.
