LOL...Rubio did better than I expected. I'm not a big rap fan, but I do like some of the older songs.

I think Lil Wayne's sounds like someone tied twine around his testicles...plus his music sucks.

If these rappers didn't make it in the record industry, most of them would be in prison, on parole and/or committing crimes. They are thugs.

the difference between rappers today and what 2Pac had is Talent .. plain and simple.

Who the He!! is Tupac and L'lL Wayne. Do they mean anything of importance in the real world? Will I be sorry if I find out who they are? Never mind I don't want to know.

Hey TMZ, we can live without the 'Slutty Housewives' commercial but aside from that, that was probably dumbest 'political' interview I've ever heard. Why should I give a tinkers damn what Marco Rubio thinks of 'Rappers'?

Rubio did an excellent job of answering the questions though. Which is probably a whole lot more than the reporter figured a conservative 'White Latino' (like Zimmerman), would be able to do, going in. ;-) ;-)

Tupac all the way, if you gotta pick one.

Tupac was an artist, Lil Wayne is Hip Hops version of Justin Beiber.

The Scoop offers up a a little, "California Love" this morning. Thank you Scoop.

Sen. Rubio wouldn't say it, so I will, "Tupac's music stands head and shoulders above "Little Wayne.""

I may get into trouble here. But, I met Tupac on two separate occasions. He was well known for funding non-profits and promoting education. I am not making this up.

He helped us put together GED summer camps in some very hard hit areas of California. Think Orange Cove and Compton.

I will forever miss him.... A great talent. A great man.... like all of us, with faults.

As an aside, when you listen to many of his lyrics ("Shorty wanna be a thug" and others.) you will see he is decrying the state of things. Not glamorizing them.

Since this is an open thread, I want to share a warm story.

We've been reading all these stories about how teachers aren't teaching, kids getting suspended for using their imagination, teachers are teaching propaganda. So, while my daughter is doing very well (all A's) in her public school, My husband and I discussed homeschooling, she's 12 in junior high.

Well, the other day I was really upset with the state of things, sitting in the car complaining to a friend on the phone, when one of my daughter teachers, Mrs. Stump, came over to me and said, not whispering, but loud and in the open around others, telling me how well Alli was dong and how nice it is to have her in class, and then she said, God blessed me with Alli, and its a pleasure seeing him work through her everyday. at the very end of the conversation she said still not whispering, that through Jesus all things are possible.

I just wanted to share that I'm blessed to have my daughter surround by that kind of faith.

And ask you all to keep her and other teachers like her in your prays. We need more like her in the schools. Thank you for reading.

Oh and I just wanted to add, that her school in March is hosting for the students and parents an Abstinence first assembly.

I hate rap but he's right. Tupac was at least a writer and some what of a poet.

Wow, Marco, think before you speak. I know he's just chatting and this is off-the-cuff but these rappers are notorious cop haters, racists, etc....

Yeah. What do you mean by "Trying to inform US about what was going on" Rubio? Tupac Amaru Shakur was the, I think, nephew of a cop killer who rapped about shooting cops and by the way who also did time for Rape. The people he rapped with used alias' such Idi Amin, Khomeini, Mussolini and the like. So you'll have to clarify Sen. Rubio what you mean by "trying to inform US about what was going on."

Thanks for answering my question of who are these people. I was right they are of no importance to anyone's everyday life, including the life of those who know who they are.

Well, if I had the chance to talk to a Senator, those are the questions I would ask. Definitely. Nothing else is more pressing in this world than the questions that were asked. Nothing.

Yeah, but consider the show's audience. I'm sure they didn't think he would be "cool" enough to know who these guys even were. That's the kind of question liberals love to blindside a conservative with to show that he's out of touch. Score 1 against the kool-aid drinkers!
