Just goes to prove how much power and influence Breitbart had. Not many people could land someone their own show in the prestigious 3am slot on the trashiest of trashy cable news networks.
Just goes to prove the power and influence Breitbart had. Not many people could land someone their own show in the prestigious 3am slot on the trashiest of trashy basic cable networks.
I just bought the e-book for my iPad, after listening to this great
interview. I love Gutfeld and Levin. I'll enjoy the book while flying
this week. And I'll learn a lot too.
I haven't posted much lately. Too disheartened by the election.
I really thought we would have a landslide. Good to be back.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone. We Americans do have a lot to be
grateful for. Bless you everyone.
No NEWS about this:
"Farah and WND filed a complaint with the Federal Elections Commission charging the Obama campaign with knowingly accepting foreign contributions without even a modicum of scrutiny.
To prove that the Obama campaign was willingly accepting cash contributions from foreigners, WND went to great lengths – using a proxy server in Pakistan, staffers placed small donations using a disposable credit card under the name Osama bin Laden, occupation “deceased terrorist.” His company was listed as “al-Qaida.”
Every red flag we could conceive of was used to ensure that the contributions would be rejected. They were not."
I'm a huge fan of Red Eye, so I made the decision to purchase this book after Levin's interview. Money is tight, but once in awhile, I do something fun for myself. I'm sure it will be a good read. I agree with Levin's comparison between Greg Gutfeld and Breitbart. They are kind of that same type of conservative. Geez, do I miss Breitbart.
Greg is the man reason I watch The Five.. His humorous, yet witheringly biting slams against the Left and Political Correctness are a joy to behold! His new book is on my Christmas wishlist! :-)
NEWS: David Petraeus is going to tell members of Congress that he "knew almost immediately after the September 11th attack, that the group Ansar al Sharia, the al Qaeda sympathizing group in Libya was responsible for the attacks,"
Love how Gutfeld is using (in his own words) "obsurd humor" to confuse the left. We cannot battle the left with reason as they are not reasonable thinkers. Time for new tactics.
People like Gutfeld and the late Andrew Breitbart are important because they understand that in order to win future elections you have to win the popular culture. There is a reason why Obama didn't have a press conference in 8 months and only went on programs like The View, Letterman, and the radio program "The Pimp with a Limp." If I were on TV, I would repeat that Obama was on a radio program called "The Pimp with a Limp" every chance I got. Our president was on a program like that. Think about that. So if this is the lowest common demoninator you have to deal with, you're going to have to get down there in the mud and fight them on their level. Talking about the Constitution, the Founding Fathers, individualism, self-sufficiency, Ayn Rand, and all that other stuff will not win you elections today. The people who voted for Obama want to talk about free stuff, and if you don't give them as much free stuff as they want, then they will call you "mean," a "racist," or some other lovely little phrase that implies that you are a bigoted bastard and the Democrats are the "caring" ones. Win the culture and you will win the election.
A sad reminder by Ann Coulter:
"Most Americans don't realize that, decades ago, the Democrats instituted a long-term plan to gradually turn the United States into a Third World nation. The country would become poorer and less free, but Democrats would have an unbeatable majority!
Under Teddy Kennedy's 1965 immigration act, our immigration policy changed from one that replicated the existing ethnic population to one that strictly favored unskilled immigrants from the Third World. Since 1968, 85 percent of legal immigrants have come from what is euphemistically called "developing countries."
We can't admit computer scientists from Spain fleeing their failing socialist nation because we have to make room for a recent Senegalese immigrant's brother-in-law with no skills but great needs.
exactly. We'll kick out someone who becomes a surgeon and has all the correct student visas but we don't mind the hispanic that cuts the grass and doesn't speak or understand english. We'll kick out someone who graduates with a computer engineering degree but allow someone who will pick tomatoes on the farm b/c "no one else will do it".
A big part of the problem is that the left wants low-skilled labor in this country and they cry when they are pushed out to other countries. Those jobs should be pushed to other countries. We don't need shoelace makers here. Those that develop software we do. We want to become more in need of high-skilled labor and to fill those jobs. Let the low-skilled labor manufacturing jobs go, and force people to educated themselves. But in this society of 51% who want the gov't handouts we are doomed.
The 5PM time slot really tears me up. I love Beck, and I subscribe to his program but here in Canada we have SUN TV with Ezra Levant's The Source. If America had a Levant, he would be in serious competition in the number one or two slot. And because Levant is on at five, I miss my wonderful Beck and get stuck watching Beck's 6pm slot with his New York four or five of Sexton, Cupp, Cain and the others.
So as much as I love Beck, Levant is my main squeeze at five.
Here's Levant's commentary on why America chose Obama... again! And he says America should learn some lessons from Canada on how to win with a Conservative message and particularly how to win minority voters... something Prime Minister Harper has done very successfully considering Canada's Liberal Party thought they had the minority vote wrapped up for the last six decades.
Yes indeed... Canada's Conservative Party can read some very timely lessons to America's Republican party. And American conservatives need to listen.
For some reason this video does not play for me. It just sits there dead. This has never happened before and I really hate that it's happening with THIS. I agree with all here about Greg and Mark - they are two of the best. In fact, Greg is my very favorite person on tv, and I hope he doesn't wear out from doing two shows daily. I wonder if I can find this interview somewhere else.
I never imagined Mark understanding the sense of humor Greg has, but I don't think it's about that.....I think that it's the good-natured and very intelligent philosophical jabs Gutfeld is able to land so easily. If the right had a line-up like Greg, the left would be in tears because it's hard to combat the logic Gutfeld brings in a friendly way.
I would wish that Gutfeld would dump the tie. It looks like he's going to court denying that he didn't know the Judge's daughter was 17.
Or in the case of several 'Red Eye' funnies, the Judge's son.
So when is it going to be time for guys like these to put their money where their mouth is & run for office? They keep saying they want repooplicans to deliver the Conservative message but the truth is that VERY FEW can deliver the message like they can.
Just wondering why they're so adamant that they would never run for office. That was one of the things I liked about Herman Cain. He sat behind a mic for a long time complaining that no one could deliver the message and so he got off his butt & took a chance & tried to have a go at it. It just seems to make sense to me, but what the heck do I know??
love these two. very knowledgeable, smart, entertaining, don't take no crab from anyone and pure conservatives. I love their books and already ordered "The Joy of Hate"
I've stuck staying up late at night waiting for the Red Eye run. We poured a 100 cubic yard concrete today and I can feel the lack of rest from watching Red Eye and I blame you Greg and Andy and the pretty lady, and you frekin Bill. j/k
Love Greg, and of course, the Great One. Hard to believe Greg came out of UC Berkeley, thank goodness he came to the dark side. Pay close attention to him on The Five. He tries to mask his opinion with humor, but when he drops the comedian routine and talks serious, his spot-on opinions are second to none.
We wouldn't know who Gutfeld is, if it hadn't been for Andrew Breitbart. He 'discovered' Greg and pestered FOX into giving him a try.
Two of my favorites, telling it as it is, love it ! Mark on the serious side and Greg on the more entertaining side, the best of both!
