Why do these democratic liberal extremist hypocrites still accept donations from the "rich"???

Michelle needs to hear this load and clear. Enough of this from what I consider the LAST FEMALE. I am sorry but she is, in my opinion, NO LADY. She stirs the Communist POT all to well.
Glenn Beck broke down the costs (on the taxpayers dime of course) of all of her highness's trips on one of his shows this week and it was staggering.
Her infamous jaunt to Spain (where she visited a mosque) cost in the neighborhood of 2-3 million, there were something like 50 security guards....laying it out like that made me want to toss my cookies.
Makes her more Marie Antoinette-like when she has the nerve to instigate class warfare when she is off jet-setting line some movie or rock star. I'll be glad to see the tail end of the Bitter Half when hubby Barry is ousted from office.
She is a giant pain in my middle class......
50 security guards, 30 of her closest friends--they also blocked the ENTIRE hotel for their entourage, and it's not a cheap one! I can't remember exactly how much, but I looked it up at the time and it was outrageous, particularly since they took every room and suite in the joint.
Questioning how well off families can feel good, while others are struggling? Considering how much you're charging for the 'honor' of taking a picture with you, or going to a fund raiser for you, you're the last one that should be opening your big mouth. If you're so damned concerned about how someone else is doing, well, as the old saying goes: 'from each, according to his ability, to each, according to his need'. You're a millionaire. You and that husband of yours have had 6 figure salaries for a lot longer than your annoying presence was foisted upon the people of this country. You could give TEN THOUSAND PEOPLE a $1,000.00, and still have plenty of money left; after all, Obama says he's still got 5 years left in his presidential regime, at over $100k a pop, each year. Maybe instead of buying all those copies of his books for propaganda stocking libraries, maybe you should've been selling those books, so you can give the proceeds to those people you pretend to care so damned much about.
An Obama wouldn't last 5 minutes in a true socialist/communist society, because the Soros' and Buffets wouldn't tolerate them for that long. Everybody knows how leftists really feel about blacks, and communists are the worst.

Although it seems like a lot of money, it would not even cover the expenses for 1 day of Moochelle Obama's recent $1,400,00 Hawaiian vacation.

We need to re-adjust how we view people on the dole. I'm on the dole from the VA, having been wounded so bad in Iraq that it's very difficult to find employment in the only types of jobs I currently know how to do (no pity please, I'll be fine eventually). I'm just giving full disclosure, not trying for sympathy.
We have a real problem with entitlements because we are a very generous culture and it is so hard to say "no" to someone in need, if you are a politician you won't even get elected! The time has come for tough love and an in-depth look at whether or not we can continue on the path we are going. I see a cliff ahead. I'd sacrifice again for the good of the country if that is really what it takes, the problem is that there are so many that would not because we no longer stigmatize welfare. We had welfare reform in the 90's and you know what happened? We didn't suddenly have a society of reformed layabouts who boot-strapped their way to success. To be fair, I'm sure that happened for many people, but not nearly a majority of the "takers". Welfare recipients just migrated to SS because the standards for being "disabled" and the thresholds for access were both lowered drastically. If it were as difficult to apply for state financial aid as it is to apply for aid from the VA.....we would not have this problem.
Mr. Arey, Thank you for your service to our country and for your great attitude. I do pray you will recover and heal from the trauma and injuries of war in miraculous ways, in as many ways possible, physically, emotionally and vocationally...especially that a means will open up for you to work, to focus and invest your heart, thoughts and energies in something you enjoy. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I think I probably speak for everyone at this blog to say we are grateful for your courage and dedication. May the Lord be with you and bless you all the days of your life...keep the faith with patience.
My daughter has a disability so I understand in a small way what you are going through. Hers is a progressive nerve disease and was on SSDI for a while because even with all her qualifications (BA English, with honors in history and english, degree in Education, Paralegal training) she looked for work for 8 years, volunteering in between job hunts, and about giving up hope, when finally a non-profit retirement center offered her a 'job'. It was a compassion job, that came about due to her father' longtime friendship with the president of the non-profit. It meant she could finally work and be productive. She does desktop publishing, newsletters, brochures, tickets, for the arts program, etc.
With her disability, all the training in the world might not have enabled her to get any job without some 'compassionate affirmative action' She has done well for them. She works very long hour to make up for being slow. The job has kept her from horrible depression and a wasted good mind and gifts.
Life is a precious gift. We often do not appreciate it until it is nearly lost.

I got a seasonal job through a friend of mine that I never would have landed if not for the "compassionate affirmative action" that your daughter benefited from as well. Mowing grass at a golf course, it's not much but it is enough that I can abstain from further using government to pay my way. They would normally hire college kids to do what I do, but they took a chance to hire a wounded vet. They pay more to employ me than they otherwise would have to if they hired some 18 year old for a few months. In return, I try to do 110% of what is expected, so it's win-win!
I could apply for unemployment in the winter, but I don't have to because I save what I make when I work. My friends and family think I'm being silly because I could actually be doing very well indeed if I took all that was offered to me. The way I see it? I don't actually need it because I can get by with what I've "earned" and even do fairly good!
I guess it's kind of cynical to refuse assistance so I can take the moral high ground, but I don't look for work in the winter and I don't want to lie in order to get "free money" while unemployed.

If anybody deserves assistance it's our military veterans. You earned it, you put your life on the line and sacrificed for it.
If we have to cut anything to insure you receive funding necessary to provide the assistance or medical attention, we should start with the salary and benefits of senators, congressmen, their staff, and the bureaucrats.

(I come from a very long line of military folks, including my grandfather who was in the Cavalry when they only had horses!) I do not consider it "entitlements" I consider it a responsibility the country has to provide the very best care for our men and women who fight for our freedoms. Freedom ain't free!
As for welfare, it was never intended to be a way of life for generation after generation who sit around popping out babies and sucking the gov't teat. It was supposed to be a temporary hand UP, not a permanent hand OUT!

It's a difficult needle to thread for me because my handout will last until I'm buried, yet I would like to cut back on government handouts. I figure that I earned it, and thankfully many others have as well. I say thankfully because medical technology is so good now that far fewer soldiers die from their wounds.
We can't continue to be overly generous though. It is ruining us.
Don't consider it a hand out, consider it compensation for services rendered, and IMHO it's still not enough! If the goobermint needs money to fund the military medical care, pull it from welfare and make the deadbeats go to work--including those in Congress--cut their pay and automatic lifetime benefits!
Yes, medical technology has come a long way. We have one of the most state of the art facilities here in San Antonio-Center for the Intrepid, as well as BAMC. (Well, I guess "they" call it SAMC now (San Antonio Medical Center) but it will always be BAMC. (Brooke Army Medical Center, for those unfamiliar)
