I overheard my liberal pro-Obama coworkers denouncing the occupiers. For a moment I thought I was in the Twilight Zone.
One guy commented on the fourth feed that they are an anti-capitalist revolution, but they need the capitalists to assist their movement in the form of the cell phones in their pocket.
Video guy I believe read a sign which said Obama- He promised change, but he changed the promise.
4th feed- OWS planning to meet at the New York stock exchange tomorrow. A guy talked about disobedience summer or something and plans for counter insurgency would be talked about. He said a number of professors from the city wanted to contribute their input or something.
NYPD vehicles reportedly rolling up- feed 1. The filmer believes arrests may happen. Park is supposed to be cleared out of people it sounded like. He started at 8 AM and is planning to stop soon.
Fourth feed- chanting "We are the 99 percent." What sounded like the chant on the second one, I don't want to repeat.
Observations on second feed- People covering their faces with kerchiefs or a ski mask, one with tatoos, hooded sweatshirts, one with an A painted on the back of it, paint on faces.
Top feed- they were chanting "Union power". Looks like Timothy Pool is the name of the guy giving the video feed- he just showed his press badge.
top feed- people holding sign, equal rights for all workers, stop raids and deportations- in other words, a request to stop enforcing the immigration laws is what they are requesting at leave immigration law breakers be. Wall street is now blocked off according the reporter. Someone is yelling "You natzis!" Protestors have sat down and are locking arms.
March to the square at Union? Scheduled for two o-clock. First feed announced... led by guitar player, they expect to be big.
About the "Wild cat" march- 9 arrests before march started, reportedly (first feed).
Announcement was made that NYPD denied several arrests were made at some state park or other (said report was not true). And someone seemed to indicate someone from Fox News was there. (top feed)
One guy said there may be more anti-Obama signs there than anti-Romney I think, then mentioned something about a law against military practicing beastiality.
Briefly saw part of a red flag with gold star- thought it might have been communist flag.
Bottom thread anti-European rant by African-American lady, who used the n word and when she started cursing, I turned the sound off.
Also bottom thread, where history teacher spoke earlier, gather that a bunch of people walk out of school for this protest.
Fourth thread down, history teacher talked about people walking out of school when the first bomb dropped on Iraq & also said the word "imperialists".
Third thread down, saw a man with a dark handkerchief over much of his face carrying what looked like a thick stick- had a scary look on his face.

Good job, stage9. I was going to link that if no one else did. In the story I read, they were called "anarchists," and no hint of the "occupy" movement was mentioned till the very end of the article, where some mealy-mouthed response from an Occupy Cleveland coordinator included a few things about being a non-violent movement.
Like they haven't been threatening violence directly for some time now.

Not too likely,I am an occupational therapist, put myself throught college while working full time and rearing two children. At the time one was 5 months old, one 5 years old. I never missed a ball game my kids were in, a school program, a scout event or karate program. My boys are grown now, one is a web designer at the college he attended, the other is working on his doctorate in mathmatics and is with Occupy Austin .Neither of my kids drink, do drugs, have anything pierced or tattooed.I am an organizing member of Occupy Dallas along with many other professional people. We see a number of serious problems in this country that need to be solved. So, you go ahead keep watching Fox news, keep your eyes and ears closed and keep those of us trying to fix the problems labeled as low-lifes...

NYPD Legal(on the backs of their wind breakers), City Observers, un-armed, mostly women carrying their purses (?), there to act as witnesses. Hopefully their talents will be required frequently
The rain may have dampened their spirits. Considering the population of NYC grows to more than 30 million every work day, these few hundred whackos making a bunch of noise in front of bank branches will hardly be noticed.

Too many folks go to their graves with their music still in them. Life seems to have passed them by without so much as a 'by your leave sir', and the phrase, 'what might have been', echos in the ears of some, as the reality of mediocrity and personal lack of effort to go for it keeps slapping them in the face. They feel like one who's forever standing on the edge of the high diving platform with never enough courage to jump. Neither a tortoise nor a hare in life's race, but a passive bystander, letting life happen to them instead of grabbing it by the lapels and shaking it for all it's worth.
The sad reality of a life "lived" this way makes folks look back with regret. Don't let life pass you by people. You write the script and you are the star. No one can do it for you. If you think you're too old, too this or too that, to make the attempt, go ahead and slap yourself in the face and pick yourself up by your own bootstraps, sandals or what have you, and squeeze a life out of this life.
Get up and go get it. It's on you.
You're absolutely right, Rs. Today, it's raining outside and I'm sitting here at my computer terminal. Now, I generally find that fun and interesting, but today I'm going to get up, go to my 18 month old granddaughter's house, and enjoy her company.
While I'm there, I may just teach her a little bit about being a true conservative. She is the future and it's up to us to pass on the values and ideals to them while we still can. She will never be an OWS brainless wonder. She may well be the future leader of this great country - unless I convince her to be an astrophysicist, of course.
Or maybe we'll just have our own little 'Tea Party'. :)
