Michael Reagan says for every person you can find trashing Newt as lying about being a Reagan conservative, he says there are others that will indeed confirm it. And it is not because it is complicated. He says it’s like Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John all looking at the same man (Jesus) from different perspectives. Newt didn’t always agree with Reagan, but does that make him less of a Reagan conservative? Not at all. In fact Michael Reagan says that much of Reagan’s administration didn’t see what he was doing to the USSR, and was against his policies.
Here’s the full clip so that you can judge for yourself, but I assure you one thing. This assault on Newt isn’t about Reagan, but about Newt. He scares the crap out of the establishment, as evidenced by the continual assault to take him out, and I must say that does nothing but endear him to me.
