If your going to advocate a ban on all weapons, then lets ban "abortion on demand"? A far more reprehensible practice of legalized murder...In most mass killings, the perp has little or no relationship with the victims. Where as with abortion the killer is very close to it's intended victim...And with the people on the left, It's nothing more than hypocritical in it's approach on this issue.
Politicizing this tragedy and using it to once again try to decimate our 2nd Amendment is not only perverse, it's pure evil. Once again they blame everything on the gun. What about the monster that pulled the trigger? As someone has said in the past, if you believe the gun is responsible, arrest the gun, put it on trial and if it is convicted give it a life sentence.
Thinking we can prevent the unpreventable is pure lunacy. If some idiot wants to do something like this, he's going to find a way, even if it means killing the gun owner and stealing the guns.
So why does it happen infinitly more often in US rather then the rest of the first world nations. Why is their nothing that can be done about it.
The pure lunacy is you pretending the assault weapons and crazy gun laws have absolutely nothing to do with it.

First of all, assault weapons have nothing to do with the discussion because they are not available to the average person. Assault weapons are fully automatic and are heavily restricted.
Secondly, we don't have "crazy gun laws". Well, other than gun restricting laws. We have a 2nd Amendment to the Constitution that says Americans can have guns - "the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed". That is not a law. It's an inalienable right granted by the Creator.
I don't know how often this sort of thing happens in other countries because other countries don't have the liberal media walking lockstep with the anti-gun nuts. The lamestream media will 'front page' anything that fits into their anti-gun agenda, but let something good happen - like someone with a concealed carry permit stopping a perp from killing people - and you never hear about it.
Sure, other countries don't have the access to guns we do, but ask those who live in England and Australia (to name just a couple) how that works out. Once their guns were taken violent crime increased exponentially.
Then, go to the FBI website and check out what happens when Americans are allowed to carry - violent crime decreases every single time.
Oh yeah, and I am serious.
What did I say that wasn't true? That assault rifles are fully automatic? That the 2nd Amendment says "the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed"? That other countries don't have the access to guns that we do? That their crime rate soared after their guns were taken away? That the U.S. media will do whatever is necessary to push their agenda? Please explain what part isn't true.
Bikerhoop, why don't you take a little time and review how many gun related deaths occur in these so called other countries. Before you start talking about the exponential growth in England's gun violence, why not look at the whole numbers and see their exponential growth pales in comparisons with gun related deaths in the US.
Go over the media's head and look up the numbers and educate yourself on the fact thousands of Americans die every year and the only difference is gun control.
You can't ban guns by cities or states the only way they can be banned is at borders with nationwide laws, cities and states can ban them but without borders they cannot be enforced.
You seem like a bright person spend some time thinking critically and read, nothing of what you say is true.
Finally, you really don't believe God said arm the Americans.
Stop ok, think well the US has the highest mass murder rate and the largest number of gun deaths by percentage of the population of any first world nation by a large degree. Since 1996 29 mass school shootings in US and 14 in rest of the world.
The significant difference between US and comparable first world nations is some form of gun control. It does not make you a liberal to examine these jurisdiction and uncover how come they can keep thousands and thousands of their citizens alive every year and the US can't.
It does not make you unpatriotic to legislate changes to ban certain weapons that are regularly used in these horrible happenings. Why can we not find some middle ground and just see if these same effective laws in other countries could work in the US. Just try them and hope we can save but one child, mother, father , etc...... life.

All the gun laws in the world would not have stopped what happened in Connecticut. The mother bought and registered the guns legally in a tough gun control state and she knew how to use them (legally). No background check would have turned up that her SON was a potential psychotic mass murderer. So these added gun laws that the liberals and all the Democrats seem to want is just part of their jihad against guns and their desire to see all Americans disarmed. To them, the Second Amendment be damned. It was written by a bunch of farmers over two hundred years ago and things change. To these liberal miscreants, they would do away with the entire Constitution if they could and just have the laws according to Obama, their patron saint. NO new gun laws should even be considered until stricter controls on placed on ultra-violent video games and movies as well. Quentin Tarantino can rot in hell for all I care when it comes to his pitiful movies. But until the liberals are willing to change that and discuss that, then bringing up the gun control topic is nothing but noise.

The media and the parents are to blame for letting their kids feed on this evil trash.
Gun control advocates in the media and in Washington should immediately disarm themselves first. That means to lay off their secret service and private security teams immediately. Lead by example then we can talk, until then shut the ------- up!
The American public does not, and can not afford an armed human shield as many of these politicians have to watch their backs every min of the day. Disarm or shut up.
Unfortunately Michelle that is not the way the politic thinks or cares. So here we are again discussing something that should not even be on the table. So if by some immoral means, the politic gets to ban weapons, the they personally should be held personally responsible for each and every murder, rape, child molestation etc. that occurs after the banning of said guns.
Here here and the victim of each crime (or surviving family member) should be able to inact the same violence on to the politicians in whatever means possible.
I think it was Judge Judy that said that people should listen twice as much as they talk. "That's why God gave you two ears and one mouth" Politicians seem to have 2 mouths and no ears!

You can always count on Michelle Malkin to espouse coherent thoughts. Politicians and pundits alike would be well served to be talk less and stop depriving their brains of the needed oxygen required for proper thinking. I am glad I don't have cable and don't obsessively watch cable news anymore. It is has been a positive boost to my state of mind to leave that behind.

Tort reform. Actual injuries +court costs only. Only provable "pain and suffering" and then limited to 2x the cost of medical + court costs. Puts an end to the "ca-ching!" mentality of suing for millions to enrich oneself when you have an "accident" and puts an end to lawyers chasing ambulances.

And the pertinent fact here is that this report in the Daily Mail, quoted by Breitbart, is from 2009 - so this rise in gun crimes took place during the socialist, Labour government. How could that be - with all those fierce laws, and nobody having guns any more ... and where did all those guns come from, seeing that there are no gun manufacturers in the UK?
But hey - it's all good for Piers, because he is very adept at sweeping inconvenient facts under the carpet.
Oh mum, that adds alot more to the equation doesn't it! UK has been armed with sub-machine guns since 2009.....

Funny you should say that... I was thinking this horrible situation would be a viable argument in support of home-schooling. I hate to politicize this... but they did and this makes more sense to me. No Dept. of Ed. needed. No tax-payer money goes to public indocrination centers. Parents can control the quality and quantity of education their kids get. Cut down on buses, and less energy usage because school buildings are gone. Etc. Teachers could assume the role of tutors.
Plus, most importantly, the kids would be MUCH safer.
BTW if you are 55 or older you graduated high school before there was a Dep't of Ed.

I know, I know, I'm violating rule #27 on the Bachelor's for Life handbook, but I decided to try to get some of the gifts early this year and have managed to purchase better than 75% of what I need to buy. Brother, it gives one a very strange feeling. It's like, I'm more relaxed but can shake this feeling that something terrible is about to happen to me. I's all very disconcerting.
