Michelle Malkin: US State Dept. very close to looking like Chinese government propagandists

The story of Chen Guangcheng, the blind Chinese dissident requesting asylum in America after being beaten and put under illegal house arrest over his protest of the Chinese government’s one-child policy, has now blown up since Guangcheng is no longer in US protection at the US embassy. Malkin says that US Ambassador to China Gary Locke and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton are claiming that Guangcheng left of his own free will, but reports on twitter from sources inside of China are coming out that he left because his family was being pressured and threatened by the Chinese government.

MIchelle Malkin says that US State Department is very close to looking like Chinese government propagandists at this point and calls out the Obama administration who claims to be strongly on the side of standing up for human rights:

John Bolton weighed in on this last night with Greta, referring to it as a “train wreck in process” and said that the State Department is making contradictory statements on the account of why Guangcheng left the US Embassy. Bolton also says that we are obligated by our own laws to grant political asylum to a someone who indeed has a ‘well founded fear of persecution’.
