A new article out by Fox News today has confirmed that SEALs Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty were using M48 light machine guns with laser mounts.

I'm not 100% sure what they actually had, there's a couple different kinds, but my suspicion is that they were using something like this:

CIA's Mike Baker said he respects Panetta the RED? Maybe he needs some intel on good ole Leon...
Gates’s successor, Leon Panetta, the former CIA director, had a record of opposing weapons systems and military action when he was a left-wing congressman from California. This was Panetta’s record:
Panetta in 1983 endorsed the nuclear weapons freeze, a concept backed by the Soviet Union which would have frozen in place a Soviet nuclear advantage in Europe.
Panetta supported a ban on the testing and deployment of new nuclear ballistic missiles.
Panetta opposed CIA covert operations to undermine the Communist Sandinista regime, calling Reagan’s support for the Nicaraguan freedom fighters a “dirty war.”
Panetta opposed the neutron bomb, an enhanced radiation weapon designed to counter a Soviet tank build-up in Europe.
Panetta opposed the B-1 bomber, which was funded under Reagan and is today a key part of the fleet.
While most members of Congress were saluting Reagan and our troops for liberating Grenada, Panetta criticized the Reagan action and warned against the dispatch of a U.S. naval task force to the vicinity of Cuba. “This is not a time to seek out new targets to flex our military muscle,” Panetta said.
Panetta opposed the MX “Peacekeeper” missile, arguing it would jeopardize arms negotiations with the Soviets. Reagan had warned that defunding the system would “weaken our ability to deter war…”
Yet, Gates pointed out in that AEI speech, “The Reagan build-up of the 1980s fielded a new generation of weapons platforms that continue to be the mainstay of the force today—the M1 tank, Bradley Fighting Vehicle, Apache and Black Hawk helicopters, Burke guided missile destroyers, F-15 fighters, and much more.”
So Panetta was wrong on the Reagan buildup. But he has apparently not learned his lesson, as The New York Times reports that Panetta favors radical cuts in the size of the Army, even beyond what has been publicly reported, from 570,000 down to 490,000 troops.
Going even further, the Times said that Panetta is expected to propose cuts to next-generation weapons, including delays in purchases of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter jet.
We were virtually alone in predicting this. We had reported extensively on Panetta’s anti-defense views and his personal ties to radical left-wing forces and Communist Party member Hugh DeLacy.
Panetta has been portrayed in some media as opposed to cuts, even while he unveils them.
But his real attitude toward America’s enemies was on display on the January 8 edition of CBS’s “Face the Nation,” when he said about Iran, “Are they trying to develop a nuclear weapon? No.”
One day later, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) confirmed that Iran had begun uranium enrichment at a facility in the northern part of the country.

Losing viewers hasn't affected network news. They blame loss of viewership on one of the hosts. How about we don't like your propaganda! This is America and we should be able to turn on our news and hear what is really happening! With Sandy, Benghazi, Fast & Furious, Solyndra or Acorn, they cover up, don't report or lie. There might be one way we can turn them into true honest journalists. If we don't watch ANYTHING
on their networks, they will lose advertising, therefore they will lose money and that is the only thing they understand. I say boycott networks, until they realize we are not going to put up with it anymore!
Wow. Two NY area, lib papers endorse Romney. This should be HUGE, HUGE news. You'd think they would have stuck with Obama since he has displayed such leadership with hurricane Sandy./

The left cant comprehend the truth. You could show them this video and they would some how still blame Bush... The eight years of Bush were a joy compared to what we have now and yet Bush will always take Obama's grief.. BUSH NEEDS TO COME OUT from hiding when this election is all said and done and fight back for the sake of America. I understand why they dont want him endorsing Romney as of current but BUSH needs to come out and fight back at some point and time.
The administration did not give a hoot about the Americans who were under assault in Benghazi but Obama cared a whole lot about apologizing to the Islamic world for the video. Is there any other proof needed what side this administration is on? Not ours, that's for sure.

Why does the media keep turning a blind eye to the fact that Obama covered his lack of leadership with a youtube video that here in the USA should be protected. The concept of freedom of speech no matter how foul should be protected and not appologized for.

Not a lot to share, except I heard this theory immediately afterward and didn't think a lot of it. Now, many weeks later, I'm giving it second thought. With all the information coming out now about how security was mishandled before and during the attack, the one thing that stands out to me is how this easily explains the requests for additional security being denied, the "stand down" approach, the lack of an order for intervention by assets specifically on call for this type of scenario...
I almost hate to say it. I thought Bengazi was about sheer incompetence and naivete. Now I believe the kidnapping scenario is possible.

I'm glad all of this is coming out. Wish it was a little quicker though. We've got an election in two days, and people need to see and hear what do many of us already knew. I wish some survivors that were on the ground that night could come forward. I know I don't understand all the logistics, rules, etc. on what military, CIA, can talk about, and I realize they are in such a tough spot. But we have that pentagon spokesguy, little I think his name is, denying much of what fox and others have reported. He says no assets close or available that night. We know he's lying!! The men here on pirro's show even know its garbage! I've said it before, how can these higher ups in the military do this to the dead and those who survived! How can they lie about everything these people went through to save who, this president?! Not worth it guys! Come clean!
I really don't think liberals want to look at anything even closely resembling the truth. The MSM is catering to their base by not upsetting them with disturbing facts. Its such a bad marketing plan though, because they just don't seem to have noticed another disturbing fact...there are more of us than them. LOL. It is terrifying that some people are like that. I know I run into that type every day. I have good friends like that. Another consideration as far as "timelines" go. These QRF's are usually so prepared for this sort of thing that it is a good bet that they could have (not confirmed of course) ALREADY been in the air and on their way to assist, but because the presidential order was never given they couldn't engage.
So, essentially what you would have is either a bird flying overhead ready to engage or one that is en route to their location; but because no order was ever issued, they were left to the mercy of the situation.
I just don't believe for one second that those two sailors were lasing a target simply on the HOPE that someone would show. I still believe that they believed that someone was ALREADY en route or on station to assist. They were EXPECTING someone to engage the bad guys, but no one ever did.

From some posts over at PJM by Bob Owen, I learned that lasing a target means they cannot fire their weapon. So why would they leave themselves defenseless and unable to go on fighting unless they thought the cavalry was coming in?
After all, it now looks as if fighting still went on for another hour if Ty Woods and Glen Doherty were killed by that mortar around 4 a.m.

I believe they thought there was an armed predator in the air. And if there wasn't it was because Hussein/Jarrett wanted it that way.
Yeah, if you're going to "frighten off attackers" you don't use a laser designator. Now, there are several DIFFERENT kinds of designators, so I'm not really sure what they were ACTUALLY using, but if it's anything like this one, ( http://www.americanspecialops.com/photos/marsoc/msot-jtac.php ) you can see that there is NO WAY you're going to use this thing while taking heavy fire unless you're confident someone is going to respond in haste.
I am NOT going to put down my weapon until I hear from command that they are either en route or on station. PERIOD!
Now it makes even more sense to me, who obviously has not been a veteran of either your USMC or our SAS, that this would have been suicidal insanity to do while under fire.
And we can be certain that neither of the SEALs were insane.
Also, it just occurred to me, they wouldn't have done this unless they knew air support was on its way because they would surely have known that the mortars - which killed them in the end - would endanger those inside the house, whom they were defending. They wouldn't have made themselves and the others into such target. No way.
It goes to show that those spokespeople in the CIA are probably bureaucrats, desk top jockeys, who don't know about warfare at first hand, and think that everybody just has to accept their words as gospel.
