The hatred liberals generate can be pretty shocking. Conservatives tend to dismiss such expressions of hate as anomalies of internet anonymity. That people only say such things because they can say them behind fake screen names. But that's not really true. A screen name can be just as important as your real name in internet culture. It's the name everyone knows you by. It's you.
As a flaming liberal all my life, it took a very small story for me to see just how hateful and petty liberals could be. I was posting on a liberal message board when Bush's dog Spot died. Oh, I knew Bush was hated in a really viseral way, but I had no idea the hate ran so deep. The venom spewed by these people, people I had been posting with for years by that point and were regular users of the boards, was truly shocking to me. How could people be so hateful?
As a dog lover, I simply could not understand how people could be so cruel in their glee at the death of a man's beloved dog. But they could. They reveled in it. Liberals truly are hateful people.

I can attest to “liberal hatred”,as I experienced it first hand as an eighteen year old Marine fresh from my Bootcamp Graduation. Myself with several other of my new comrades in arms were confronted on our way to catch our flights home in the Lindbergh Field Terminal by a group of sixteen to eighteen year old retro-hippies.They were quite polite,at first,but when I told one of the girls that we could not place their peace symbol stickers on our uniforms,it was like Linda Blair's character from the Exorcist suddenly appeared in our midst. All of the time worn anti G.I. epithets came spewing out ,she was practically frothing at the mouth screaming “babykillers” and worse as Security and the Police dragged her and her friends out of the airport.It was definitely an awakening for me.
