He created a photo op, against the wishes of the Red Cross, spent $10K of campaign money on groceries, that the Red Cross specifically said that it did not want or need, and then proceeded to take photos until it was time for Myth to run. I couldn't make it all the way through the last one. I have to words to describe how much I dislike MSNBC they have no business at this point calling themselves reports/journalists. The fact that their precious government can't mobilize as fast as "we the people" really does get under their skin. Saw a later story of heard it where the Air Force Speical Operations tam circling in an AC-130 Spectre gunship saw the whole incidewnt. They saw the Taliban setting up the shot, taking the shot then climbing down to escape. Rules of Engagement prevent them from firing on the murdering Muslims.

I no longer give to charities, except my church. Charity is a business, in America. The salaries of those who head up these charities, rival the CEO's of major corporations.
I would rather buy a homeless person a hamburger, or take him to a thrift shop, and buy him a winter wardrobe, than write a check to some national charity, when I have no idea, where the money is going.

san fran does provide a great many social services for the "homeless" but most of them refuse to avail themselves of it. they prefer the 'freedom' of the streets. most of them ought to be incarcerated or institutionalized, but that might hurt their feelings. as a result, there's really not that much space left "in the parks and on the streets" for many new "homeless" immigrants.
you're right about the weather in the bay area though...most temperate spot in the world. once you get spoiled by it, it's hard to imagine living anywhere else.

Yep, we do the same. After giving the homeless guy money for months and he always looking the same- I started giving him stuff. One day I gave him my hubbys old leather bomber jacket. I asked the guy about it a few weeks later and he told me he sold it. ( I was bummed)

I don't like the Red Cross and there are plenty of people who feel the same way. I will never give them a dime or any type of donation. There are plenty of other charities who appreciate whatever they can get and don't act like a$$hole political puppets just like the AARP.

What I really would like to see and quite frankly if I was a millionaire I would create a super pac going against the media. I dont know if that would be possible, but there is a lot of channels that would be included and will take a lot of money but is very important, these people have become an enemy of the people and must be defeated at their game.

Romney looked Presidential today and really did a nice thing. If he were a crud or politicizing anything, then he would go right on campaigning while Obama is away. Out of reverence and because it's the right thing to do, Romney stopped and helped out in the best way he could. If those steaming piles of human feces wanna stink up the joint... go ahead. But you can't make Romney your toilet paper... We won't let you.
Looking at Romney's history and all the stories we have now heard, we know that it would be his first impulse to help, not politicize. Good on him.
