Please contact your Representative in Congress and tell them you support HR 459, the Federal Reserve Transparency Act. This bill is being debated and likely voted on today.
Federal Reserve Transparency Act of 2011 - Directs the Comptroller General to complete, before the end of 2012, an audit of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System and of the federal reserve banks, followed by a detailed report to Congress.
Repeals specified limitations on such an audit.
This bill has over 270 co-sponsors, including Allen West and Michele Bachmann, but not including people like John Boehner, Eric Cantor and Nancy Pelosi.
Please demand the transparency Obama promised the American people. Call your Representative today. My kids thank you.

DWS is one of those democrats that is 100% political prostitute. The kind that makes me react viscerally, ya' know? The shiver up and down my spine. The sensation of stomach acid splashing up in my mouth. The urge to punch something in hopes it will try to punch back. The recognition that she is the prime example of everything that is wrong with our country. There is no middle ground with this one, and few other modern day democrats.
They all seem to understand that they "must all hang together or they will surely hang separately". Our Founders felt that way too, and said as much out loud, hence the quotes...but they coalesced around virtuous goals and tenets, with laudable aspirations. Nothing similar with DWS and company. Ugly to the bone and beyond. Nothing virtuous by any standard of decency, past or present, unless the standard is, "whatever".
This is probably why they chose her to chair the DNC. There is nothing she won't demagogue or lie about, and there be no bridge too far or fallacious, that she will not span, just to see it explode in her rear view mirror.

WELL. Since it's an open thread - what about Eric Holder??? What's the consequence of being in contempt of Congress? They now hold you in contempt and will not invite you to any cool parties?
What's the point? Will there be a consequence?
There were two types of contempt here. The criminal contempt goes to the US Attorney of DC, who will probably not do anything to prosecute (in fact, I think they already refused to prosecute their boss).
The other contempt is civil, and Congress can take that to a federal court (US District court of DC), which would cause Holder to be forced to log the material he wants to protect. He may well lose this battle, appeal, and then lose the appeal. It will take a long time (which they are counting on), but eventually it will all come out.

Open thread topic: As much as I don't want it to happen, if Syria uses WMDs against their people, one wonders if they will find Iraqi-stamped shell casings lying about. I always said that Iraq shipped out a huge amount of WMDs to Syria just before the Americans came in. A book written by one of their generals confirms it, but of course the LSM won't have anything to do with that notion.

Yes, one of Saddam Hussein's ( gee that name sounds familiar) generals said he personally flew out several planeloads of weapons to Syria. They had an agreement with Syria that they would take the weapons if an invasion seemed imminent. Well, how many months did we build up our forces, giving Saddam plenty of time to get the weapons out of there.
Sure they did - where else could they go, apart from Iran - or would that be the same given how all these creeps now hang together?! (was gonna say no pun intended, but on rethinking...)

I LOVE DWS!!! She is the PERFECT poster child of a liberal/dem. She's a great recruitment tool...for the right. Every time I get into a political debate with a young person I simply hold up a picture of DWS and say ..." You want to be like HER"!!! They instantly convert to being a conservative....works EVERY time!!

My open thread topic...."Glee". I had said I tried something new by watching "Glee" and I liked it. Not so fast. It's getting worse than a soap opera for one, but this is about the script writers.
Three times they have taken pot shots at conservatives when it has no basis to be in the show at all. The low blows are out of place. One lady called a couple of girls the dumbest girls she had ever taught, and that's saying something because she taught a young Sarah Palin. Another pot shot at Anne Coulter, and I forget who the third one was.
Hollywood just can't maintain professionalism in anything and they can't keep their mouths shut.
Which is why I never watch TV. I used to love the NYPD special unit and those cop shows, (especially when Fred Thompson was on it) but their constant bashing of Christians and conservatives was the last straw. They were about the last TV shows I ever watched. I can't stand TV or hollywood.
About the only TV I watch is Fox news and some of the small claims court shows. I watch quite a bit of Netflix on the computer, though. I don't know how you survive with no TV at all. I'd go bonkers, lol.
Of course, I'd think the same thing. Kids don't see the deeper reasons of character development and removal from bad influences in the media. But one has to be careful about too much prevention of interacting with the elements (good and bad). A sheltered child can wind up being an ignorant child and be shell shocked with reality later in life.
Don't take that as a lecture to you...but rather a general statement not related to you.
I admit, it did take some getting used to, but I really don't miss it anymore. Now if I could get my son and husband weaned off it lol. I swear, some of the things they watch make my skin crawl just hearing it. Actually my son watches all old shows- old westerns and stuff, but I still need to get him cut down some - but every time I try, he sees it as punishment lol!
LOL, why doesn't it surprise me you like him :-) Yeah, I watched reruns once in a while, but not much. I always kind'a liked David Caruso... especially when he moved to Miami for NCSI ;-) But then again, I'm a girl.
I stopped watching that show, even though the singing is amazing. It's too gay friendly, very anti-conservative, a bit mean-spirited, and frankly dishonest on so many levels.
It's just like Hollywood wants America to be. (gag)
I agree. I'm still watching for the music, though. I love how they mix songs and tweak different songs. It started off only singing in a realistic setting....on stage or during practice. It has morphed into a musical where they sing during normal activities...which I hate.
I agree - I watched it a couple of times and recognized the liberal bias immediately. I haven't watched since. Plus that, the show is unrealistic as are the "students". It's just another phony, stupid soap opera with music.
Yep, but I like a lot of the music and the alterations to the songs to make them a little different than the originals. Other than that, the show is pretty dumb.
Kong, I think you will find out two things. One, most of those liberal Hollywood shows are regularly taking potshots at conservatives. I think it's in their contract. And two, much like Soap Operas, if you watch once every month, you'll get the flavor of it without missing the storyline. Too much drivel in between. Your choice, of course.
