I’m pretty sure that’s what this comes down to. We all remember the accusations that Obama tried to bribe Joe Sestak out of the elections, and then it came down to Clinton or something. Either way there’s been a ton of corruption in the past two years, all the way back to the firing of IG Walpin in early 2009, and I think Chuck Todd is worried the GOP will start a series of investigations that may make his President look, er, like a criminal.
Todd instead wants the Republicans to focus solely on reducing debt and deficits because after 3 trillion in budget deficits by the Democrats in the last two years, it’s time to start worrying about the deficit. Well Chuck, to take a line from Obama, Republicans can walk and chew gum at the same time.
