Unbelievable.

Two purely anecdotal examples of racism are apparently more than enough for this guy Jimmy Williams to impugn South Carolina voters as racist haters. I wonder how Williams explains the election of Rep. Tim Scott in a congressional district that is almost 75% white. Answer: He probably doesn’t, because I highly doubt the genius even knows who Tim Scott is.

So you can either agree or disagree with Obama’s unmitigated, across-the-board disaster of a record as President – but if you disagree with it you must be a racist, at least if you live in South Carolina.

Do I have that about right?

…his comment makes me SICK !”

    • Anonymous

Yes, and it makes America even sicker!

The racism lies must be put aside in favor of Americans of all races coming together to see to it that our politicians abide by our Constitution. We must not allow the fools to divide us, we are all Americans.

  • KenInMontana

They continue to play the “Race Card” because it is all they have, Obama has no “positives” on which to run or that his sycophants in the media can tout.

  • Anonymous

The two voters in question were democrats BTW! The racism is and always will reside on the left!

and if you disagree with him you’re a homophobe since Jimmy is a openly gay.

Great point Dan with Tim Scott

    • Anonymous

“Openly gay”? You mean, “Shameless sodomite.”

      • Anonymous

I never heard that term before…

        • Anonymous

          Word Origin & History

          sodomy
Origin: circa (“about”)1300, from Old French/English term “sodomie”, from Latin: peccatum Sodomiticum “anal sex/defilement,” with member of the same sex.

It is a term that derives from the name of the ancient middle-eastern city of “Sodom”, whose supernatural destruction by God was documented in the Bible, see Genesis chapter 28-29. Said to have been destroyed, with neighboring city Gomorrah, by fire from heaven … One of the city’s many notorierities was homosexuality, as documented also in the Genesis account.

          • Anonymous

I knew the bible story about sinful Sodom but never heard the term used the way you presented it. Thank you for the information.

            • Anonymous

              Anytime Grace :)

          • http://twitter.com/PoeAllen Allen Poe

If you read it, you see it was aggressive homosexuality, that defined Sodom. If you tie it all together, you find Sodom, was destroyed, by tar, afire. Some volcanos, just spew firery tar. It sticks to you. I think it was Lot, who saw the connection. Do you?

            • Anonymous

Scripture said it rained sulphur. I dont remember scripture distinguishing aggressive homosexuality from homosexuality per se… and no I dont see any ‘connection’, sorry.

        • Anonymous

“Sodomy” is the noun for the act and Sodomite is the noun for a person that commits the act of Sodomy. “Homosexual” or “Homosexuality” sounds too dignifying for such beastly behaviour. Sodomy is the behoving term.

        • Anonymous

Oh yh… and ‘gay’ is a corruption of an otherwise very clean word. Gay means “happy”. Sodomites like this Williams fellow would love to believe they are “happy”; sadly they are not and can never truly be unless they turn from their sin and unto the Lord JESUS CHRIST. In him alone is trule life and true happiness. Then will they really be gay. (PS I am not from Westboro Baptist; In fact, I detest their practices:)

          • http://no-apologies-round2.blogspot.com/ AmericanborninCanada

Do you have ANY idea how many old pieces of literature I read that have the word “gay” in it, which now thanks to the shamelss sodomites, I now have to think the term gay as it now means before I think about the original meaning, “happy”?! It drives me nuts! AND when I read British literature, the same goes for the word fag, which I assume is really like a handful of wood or kindling for lighting a fire…. Or, meaning a slang for cigarette. Good grief. Then of course, myself being of Canadian heritage, so I still love the royal family, and of course Queen has a whole other meaning…. and noticing warpmine’s version below- queer, meaning strange. Oh heck, I give up. Next thing you know, they’ll be wanting to change the meaning of the word “marriage” or somethin’.

            • http://twitter.com/PoeAllen Allen Poe

Hang in there ABC. Now, when you read, you have to read the print date. When you read old books, you have to know the date, and a dictionary of that time. Peace, believe me, if you read another language, it is even worse, with local usage. Now, I breach on the race. If you change word meanings all the time, how can you understand a candidate?

My experience from living in South Carolina for 8 years left me almost dead by a gang of black guys (choked out with barbed wire in a field on my way home from school after being beaten badly…I was in 8th grade), as well as constantly belittled, berated, and bullied by black people. Even the parents laughed at my dad when he went over to talk to them about making my life Hell. IF ANYTHING, Whites have it bad in South Carolina…I was constantly hearing about “Cracker” this, and “Cracker” that. Remember Carter Strange (http://www.wistv.com/Global/story.asp?S=14965429)? Now I’m not saying the South is racist (nor South Carolina), but IF ANYTHING, it goes both ways.

Well, that explains some posts you made a while back. Not in a bad way, but in the sense that you were trying to overcome some negativity.

Good for you, brother- I know people that haven’t had any personal strife of that nature, yet always seem to harp on some racist BS.

      • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1396855720 Brian Jones

I’ve had some pretty extreme racist periods in my life, and still battle with them, based on some of my past experiences. The double standard in this country really makes me mad. NONE of this stuff should even matter, since MOST White people just want to be left alone to spend time with their friends and families.

        • http://no-apologies-round2.blogspot.com/ AmericanborninCanada

My husband’s family had the same kinds of issues, stemming from his younger brother being beaten and left for dead by a black gang when he was younger. It was hard for them to get over the black thing…. until my husband’s daughter married a wonderful black guy and they had a beautiful baby girl. Unfortunately our son in law passed away when Myah was 6 months old, but she’s a beautiful girl of 11 now and the whole family has no racist thoughts anymore.

          • Anonymous

I’m so sorry that your husbands family went through such pain. Racism is a hateful and oftime results in violence.

          • http://twitter.com/PoeAllen Allen Poe

Yeah, in south Texas, where the Mexicans are the majority, whites had some evil treatment. I had Mexican friends, but no Mexican girlfriends. I now have a mixed race marriage, as racism was beat out of me. If you see the evil, you should learn. If not, shame on you.

            • Anonymous

Interesting, they can beat you up or attempt to legislate equality but they can’t make you respect people of any race if those people don’t show themselves to be worthy of respect.

We must speak out against Racism perpetrated on Americans of all races.

          • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1396855720 Brian Jones

I’ve tried. My black friends don’t want to hear any of it, because it won’t allow them to play the victim card. No one wants to hear about it unless it’s White people victimizing someone else. Anytime a White guy tries to make a point that he’s being discriminated against, the ENTIRE COUNTRY slams him back into subservience.

            • Anonymous

              We must be persistent, Brian.

Of course they don’t want to admit that racism against White and Asian people in America is at an all time high because they will lose their leverage.

            • Anonymous

not only white people, remember how Bill Cosby was attacked for just saying that , “the black community must solve their problems and stop blaming others”.

              • http://no-apologies-round2.blogspot.com/ AmericanborninCanada

I remember that! It’s amazing to see them go after those who tell the truth no matter the color of skin.

            • Anonymous

I think, in 2012 America, that no one can see anyone else’s pain. My pain is greather than your pain. That is the verification that everyone seeks in this country but they will never get that understanding because it’s not true. Pain is pain. Why can’t we be kind to each other and recognize that “United We Stand, Divided We Fall” is TRUE. You may dislike all people of an entire race because of the .0001% or 10% or 20% that have screwed you over, but please understand that tunnel vision on a national scale threatens All Americans, regardless of race or ethnicity. We can’t afford to spin our wheels with hate and dislike and hurling one-line zingers at each other. It’s shameful. But, alas, it seems that no one feels shame any more.

              • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1396855720 Brian Jones

You didn’t SERIOUSLY just call me a racist did you??? LOL!

                • Anonymous

No I didn’t. I don’t understand how you could sum up my statement as calling you a racist. I responded to the subject matter, not you personally. And I can understand where you may not have gleaned that fact. However, I took pains to make my words applicable to all races… all Americans. I am trying to say that *everybody* (any shade of skin color, any religious group, any ethnicity that are citizens of America)… *everybody* in this country is taking the same stance. The only difference between the opposition is that they are sensitive to their own race/sexual persuasion/religion/ethnicity. Everybody seems to be using words as spears to hurt the people they consider to be their opposition. I am saying that this is not productive, this is not good, this is harmful to the stability of our country. There use to be such a phrase as “checks and balances” when speaking about what makes our democratic republic so great. Well, we have lost the “balance” and the “checks” are in gridlock and it’s all because everybody has to be “right”. We constantly attack each other and get nothing of any value done. It is utter madness. So, no, I did not call you a racist. I am calling the collective “us” stupid.

                • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1396855720 Brian Jones

I suppose. My point was very similar to yours. I never claimed all races were against us, just that Whites weren’t ALLOWED to be victims of other races, and the other races intend to keep it that way. Never once did I attempt to attack anyone, but only explain the current situation in which I find myself. So…I took your post a little different-y…

    • http://no-apologies-round2.blogspot.com/ AmericanborninCanada

Racism definitly goes both ways.. blacks, hispanics, you name it. I’ve heard just as much racism, worse even coming from blacks while in the same breath mention MLK. Interesting though, Martin Luther King would NEVER have advocated some of the garbage spewing out of those who supposedly spent time with and marched with him. The hypocrisy is SO sickening.

I cannot believe you are serious that you do not know. PC started, when facts started interfering with DNC dogma. Oh, you joke me.

          • Anonymous

No, PC started when people cared about the damage and pain their words could cause. The whole concept got out of hand and now it has negative connotations, just like anything that is overused and applied incorrectly. But the concept of caring about how one’s words can cause havoc is, in my opinion, something people should still care about.

      • PFFV

Thanks for sharing your story ABIC :) I think it’s funny how so many liberals and democrats think MLK was one of them…lol. M.L.K. was a Republican, they are so stupid. http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=16500

        • Anonymous

Whether MLK was a republican or democrat has nothing to do with what he stood for or the impact he had.

      • http://twitter.com/PoeAllen Allen Poe

And, it so nice, as time smooths out the bumps. MLK incited a race riot in LA, then left town. So, you gonna judge the man, or the act? Like, I have Jap friends, but hate imperial japanese. And, do not believe it is gonna stop. Sad comment on the human race.

      • Anonymous

The hypocrisy is on both sides of the coin. We can spend eternity pointing fingers at each other. Is that how we should spend our time? Is that what we should vote for, negative emotional distractions instead of solving problems? We deserve what we, as a people, vote for. I think it’s cutting off your nose to spite your face.

I’m so sorry this happened to you Brian, it must have been terrible.

That would be illegal. Guaranteed. The Supreme Court will reinterpret whatever laws it needs to to make sure we can never organize and be proud of OUR race, because in their eyes, that would allow us to “once again enslave the minorities of this country”, or something like that. Just look at all the controversy over a Whites only Scholarship…until they discovered the creator was black. Then all the criticism went away.

Sadly, this is common, anytime bigotry appears. Worse, the media amplifies, the side it likes, hence the many lynching newspaper stories. In Texas, a long time ago, a black showed up, and the Indians trated him like a God. Another black guy came, so they hanged the first guy, for his lies. Now, what would happen today?

When I was a university student, I’d get into political arguments with other students and they’d listen for about one minute, then ask, “Are you a racist?”

The first few times I tried to explain, but they’d listen to the explanation for about a minute and walk off saying, “You’re a racist.”

Finally I just started replying, “Yes, I’m a racist.” I knew when they asked, they had already categorized me and would not hear anything else I said.

Liberals use three main words for most occasions: bigot, hate, racist.

They can even use all three in one sentence if they get angry, such as someone saying they don’t agree with them or try to get them to be logical and consider plain facts.

For effect, they have been known to yell, curse, push, spit, spray paint, file a lawsuit, boycott, try to get you fired or close or burn your business, and even bite your nose or ear off – literally.

  • Anonymous

Was it racism when so many uninformed Whites voted him into office?

    • http://no-apologies-round2.blogspot.com/ AmericanborninCanada

No- they were trying to prove to themselves and others that they are not racist because they voted for a black man because they thought the time was right for a person with a darker shade of skin to become president. There’s a difference for liberals between racism and voting for one’s skin color.

This is the reason Obama had Cain knocked out of the race so fast. He couldn’t have used the race card as prominently as he plans to. This power hungry, lazy azz wants to stay in the White House because he feels that as president, he shouldn’t have to do anything except order others to do his dirty work while he smiles and parties, and goes on vacation.

    • http://twitter.com/PoeAllen Allen Poe

I disagree with you so much. He is very busy. He is dismantling the USA. He does it in secret. It is not new, been done before.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1396855720 Brian Jones

Sure he could. The thing we ALL need to realize is that when your enemies do not use logic and reason, ANYTHING is possible!

Obama could say, “Those EVIL Republicans WANT to let YOU have the option of working WHEREVER you want for the best wages possible! THAT’S WHY WE MUST BEAT THEM IN 2012″, and as long as he says it with the proper annunciation, and emphasizes the right words, he WILL get a standing ovation and the whole media will glorify him. Just a fact.

Logic has NO place on the side of the Liberal. That’s why a bunch of Democrats have switched to Republicans. They FINALLY realized that they were on the wrong side…the Dems have switched to Communism/Socialism/Marxism/anti-Conservative/anti-Christ (Literally), so they had to switch. The ONLY people left in the Dem. Party are Communists.

  • PFFV

As Saul Alinsky said in his book ‘Rules For Radicals’ “The Ends Justifies The Means”, meaning anything goes as long as you win. Look for the Race Card to be played much more this time around as Obama has nothing positive to tout other than the killing of Bin Laden in 3+ years of being ‘The Campaigner in Chief’. Racism is all they have and they will use it to try and shut up the opposition. Look for more lies from the left just like they tried to make the Tea Party look like racists at the DC Rally in 2010. The politicians and national news lied and said they were spat upon and called racist names but none of the several hundred recording devices could verify any such thing. There was a big reward for anyone that could come up with audio or video that supported what they claimed and nadda, zip, zilch, nothing. It is clear who the liars are here, the Democrats and the National Liberal Lap-Dog Media.

We had all be getting used to it. Race card being played 24/7 right through election day next November. Unfortunately,

I’m convinced that 90% of the electorate are complete morons and/or have not spent time learning the issues. They’ll take their cue from the main slime media. We have become a democracy that cannot and will not take governance seriously. What happens next; a socialist totalitarian society? Gosh, Ayn Rand painted a picture of what our society would eventually look like over 50-years ago. It’s purely frightening.

I have had enough of pure racist propaganda MSNBC politics. I see Mad Cow and EDDIE Munster, and AL NOT SO SHARP in my dreams as it is already.

I PRAY to TEBOW’s GOD my vote will matter, in the primary and general election,

I look foward to waiting IN LINE FOR ($1700 now) 6 months and spending $170k on OBAMBAMcare eye surgery JUST to be able to BEHOLD and watch America progress into shambles like they so nicely made over Detroit.

Dan, everyone knows that Tim Scott, Allen West, Herman Cain, Mychal Massie, Walter Williams, Clarence Thomas, Thomas Sowell, Star Parker, Alan Keyes and others of the conservative mindset are not “real blacks”.

That said, I have 3 words for this guy…. what an a$$.

The term “racism” is thrown around so much, it is going to turn into the boy that cried wolf story. When it actually happens, we are going to legitimately deny it because 99% of the time it is utter bs. You would think liberals would use that card when all of their other talking points don’t work. Wait! That is their only talking point.

    The media will tell who is black;

    Barack Obama – black
    Clarence Thomas – not black
    Jesse Jackson – black
    Colin Powell – black
Colin Powell – not black (pre 2008)
    Condoleeza Rice – not black
    Herman Cain – not black
    Bill Clinton – black

The media decides who is and isn’t black and calls their opponenents racists, how are we ever supposed to keep up? We don’t know from day to day who is what color so our only option is judge them by their character. And that is from the great leader Martin Luthor King, whom, did I mention, is black (even the media agrees).

What if we went on the offense and said Fine, it’s because he’s black, if that gets the marxist out of the White House and the media to have to scramble for a new accusation?

And all the hatred against GWB for 8 years was… well I was going to say racism but he was white so it must have been his policies. People hated GWB because of his policies and they hate Obama because of his skin color. Couldn’t be his policies because, come on he’s just so smart! Why question what he actually does or what he believes in?

OK I finally watched the video. The idoit’s first example was of a democrat who refused to vote for the black guy, I think that proves that democrats are RACIST!!!! His second example was someone was told to take down an obama sign. How many times have we heard in the last three years of people being intimidated to take down their American flag? Their arguments are really getting weak and worn out.

As a white, Southern Baptist Christian Redneck, I am the most hated and profiled of any ethnic group, and I take offense to this constant lie! I learned a long time ago, that those who throw around charges of wrong and allegations, falsely construed, are always what they claim others to be. It never fails to be proven true!

    • Anonymous

Friends don’t let friends vote democrat.

    • Anonymous

Jeffrey, there’s a word for that. Projection.

      • Jeffrey Hardin

There are over 500 black families that live around us, that my younger brothers grew up with. After 38 years here, we have our friends who come to Momma and Poppa to let them know when one of their young ones go to stealing or as I say, off the range. I grew up with every ethnic group imaginable on the military bases for 18 years, another 32 years working on them., and I can honestly charge, that not one white has used a derogatory word against another race. Had they, my friends and I would have sealed their pie holes..I’m not so ignorant either, to say it doesn’t happen, but at 52, I have yet to hear it. To me, that says a whole lot about my South, and the honorable folks I share it with :) Race baiting shows a horrible and flawed character of those who have gotten rich off it, and we here in the South are getting stripped of our heritage and traditions because of it. The beautiful song Dixie is banned here, LMBO, I kid you not, a song?

        • Anonymous

Jeffrey, Originally from the N.J./N.Y. area, I moved to the South 24 years ago. I love the people, the charm, the heritage, the food and so much more. I fly two flags every day. The Stars and Stripes because I love my country and am proud to be an American and the Stars and Bars as tribute to States rights, which is the real reason for the Civil war and tribute to the brave Southerners who stood up for their individual freedom. The two are not mutually exclusive.

          • Jeffrey Hardin

            Good for you NYGino
I have had the great honor of working in many Northern states and have met the most God fearing and loving folks, one could ever want to meet, Camp David MD, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia, RI, Ohio, Washington DC, and many other States across this beautiful Nation we call home. S.C. was made better I’m sure for your love and appreciation of our South, and your praises I pray, are ours of you as well!
I’m going to leave you a link to this piece I read back in May I believe. I know you will find this extremely beneficial when confronted by those who still insist the South is a racial boiling pot. I have researched this extensively and word for word it all checks out. It took almost 82 hours on and off to research it before I passed it along. It is by far one of the most honest portrayals of the South that I have seen to date, and a wonderful talking piece especially :) I know you will love and appreciate this NYGino :) Thank you for the heart warming compliments, they were very appreciated and taken to heart. Great thread too :) This link will take you straight to the library where you’ll find the report I want you to read over, it’s a great read!

Jeffrey, I came from Canada, to Texas and now in Florida, and I LOVE the south!!! The people are the best. I consider myself a Florida Cracker Redneck (cracker meaning pioneer, but also those who have survived the nature of Florida). I am proud to be in the South, and I can assure anyone here, that no matter where one is- north or south, there are racists of every persuasion in any city. Southerners rock!

          • Jeffrey Hardin

AmericanborninCanada Canada rocks, LOL. I was in Washington State for three years and was invited by my Canadian friends to go Moose hunting in Alberta for the weekend. I never seen one in person and was like a kid around his first girlie friend excited…Unfortunately I had to leave early and couldn’t make the hunt. Those three couples kept me in stitches, I thought I could play some good pranks, but they had me beat hands down. I miss them dearly. You Canadians have some seriously beautiful country. I did get to take the Ferry from Whidbey Island where I worked on the Air base there, up to Anchorage, and the whole trip was less than $45, the lodging free, just had to jump from ferry to ferry, Dale and his Wife, Canadians joined me on the trip…You rock brother! My Brothers wife is stationed at Kings Bay Naval Facility in Georgia. I worked there for two years myself and stayed in Jacksonville. Great fishing too, I am a fishing guide here in S.C. and sometimes go there for the weekends…Glad to have you in the South, man do I love her. If you come up to SC email me and I’ll set you up with some great fishing, my fishing buddy and brother in law go out quite a lot, LOL Reds, King fish and Wahoo my target fish, and after Obama gets fired I’ll go full time and target Maui Maui. He’s killing our fisheries here? email me at 777jericho @gmail.com You enjoy and have a blast, Florida is nothing but fun…Thanks for the compliment AmericanborninCanada :)

I’m your sister Jeffrey, but thank you! Canadians do have a unique kind of humor, and I do have to admit I had to tone mine down a little when I first moved to Texas. Until the folks got used to me ;-) My husband and I love to fish! We mostly fresh water for bass or yellowbellies, but we do take the little boat out every now and then. I love red snapper. But yes, I pity the fishing industry and the smaller fishing guys among others under dear leader…. I’ve never gone deep sea fishing except once but it was one of those party type where the people with us were more interested in the party part and none of us caught anything. I’d love to try off the Atlantic some day though- so if we ever get up that way, I will have to look you up and take your offer :-D Have a great day Jeffrey!

I’m certain this genius has sufficient grasp of history to remember that each and every one of the southern racists he leans on for his slanderous crap was a lifelong faithful DEMOCRAT…

  • http://twitter.com/volgeek Tim Jaggers

Please note that his 2 examples involved Democrats and not Republicans. It takes a card-carrying racist to hear “I can’t vote for that black guy” as being the same as “I can’t vote for that guy, he is black,” they are not equivalent statements.

The fact is that the only people I heard expressing a problem with Obama’s skin color during the 2008 campaign were all Democrats. Republicans do not care about Obama’s race, there are too many problems with his policies, background, and lies for that to be an issue.

  • Anonymous

Ok , that guy made my head spin , did I understand him right , did he just say all democrats in SC are racist ?

    • Anonymous

He said democraps in SC but he meant all democraps in general, I could tell by the way he winked. It’s not often you get the truth out of them. Savor it.

There you go again, RR. Everybody knew Obama would use the race card, no matter what. I personally, would like to give this liar a lesson in Karate. Had to have loved Newts answer to Juan’s question on race where he asked if Newt could see how it could offend people….and Newt just said “No I don’t” Ha.

So sick of the race issue. How about we look at what Dr King once famously said….” judged by the content of his character and not the color of his skin” But the left can’t do that. They are incapable of that and need racism, that they keep alive, to get anything done. If all else fails just call them racists and watch them squirm. The right needs to confront this and seriously ask what basis charges of racism are pointed their way?? It was the democrats who were pro-segregation (Bull Connors), the democrats who started the KKK. It was republican legislation that ushered in civil rights and Eisenhower who signed those laws. But nope, don’t look at the facts. You’re racist because you’re not a liberal elite sitting in the upper west-side of Manhattan. You’re racist because you own guns and go to church. You’re racist because you DO judge people by the content of their character and don’t give them a free pass to do as they please just because they exist.

Facts DO NOT matter to progressives. Spin a message enough times and you will get people hooked to it. Why? Because the progressive movement has succeeded in dumbing down society. They’ve succeeded in rewriting the disasterous results of their policies.

The national mood and conversation is turning though. Be prepared to see more outrageous and downright vile crap being spewed from them. They do not like being challenged and having to debate using facts.

Like most people, when I hear something that I have experienced in a negative and unpleasant experience upsets me. The happy responses of putting “Juan in his place”, reminded me of my mother as we drove down to her family home in a small town in Arkansas. She was born in 1925. She said, “White people are nice down here… if you know your place.” That broke my heart the second the words hit my ears. Needless to say, I’m black and my mom was black. Juan does not have a track record I could support. So criticism of him I can see objectively. But the responses of white people that are so happy that a black man was “put in his place” causes me pain.

  • Anonymous

Brian Jones, What I’m trying to say is that, as a middle-age black woman, I will NOT marginalize your experiences. I believe every word you have written, and I understand why you feel the way you do. I think you have a right to feel that way, and I’m not entirely sure, but I think if I had gone through your experiences I would come close to feeling the same way. But I also know my own personal experiences and my parents experiences from the 1920′s forward. Pain is pain. You experienced it, I’ve experienced it, my parents experienced, and I’m pretty sure just about everybody breathing has experienced it. So I don’t consider my experiences “special” enough to outweigh your own. I am actively validating your words. It’s important that you understand that I am sincere. It’s just that I don’t understand why politicians are digging their fingers into our wounds in order to get elected. I don’t understand what the stirring up of negative emotions has to do with formulating and executing a plan that makes life better for you and me and everyone else. I don’t understand why governmental problems and the people that are supposed to work the problem don’t do their job. I’m not expecting all of America’s problems to be fixed with a magic wand overnight. I don’t expect America, nor want America to become my idea of utopia, because that is not a reasonable expectation. I don’t want the country governed by only one philosophical party (democratic or republican) because I see the good in conservatism and liberalism as well as the democratic and republican outlooks. I also see the negative aspects of them. In my opinion, the only sane method of governing encompasses as many of the positive aspects of all outlooks and as few of the negative aspects as our system of government will allow. Our problems are not black and white, but many shades of gray. There are no 100% solutions here. And it’s not reasonable to expect that there are. So why are so many people indignant and refusing to cooperate, yet are so happy to waste time, energy, money and our future to pull off emotional scabs and get nothing done?
