Muslim Congressman explains why he really voted for 2009 resolution supporting Israel

Muslim Congressman Andre Carson (D-IN), who voted for a resolution in 2009 supporting Israel, is explaining at a 2009 conference sponsored by the Muslim Alliance of Indiana why he voted for it. And out of the three primary reasons he says he voted for it, none of them were because he supports Israel:

  1. It called for a two-state solution
  2. It called for an apology to the “those brothers and sisters” of Gaza
  3. It called for sending money to Gaza

He says that after the vote he talked with Sec. Clinton and President Obama and they were able to send millions of dollars to Gaza, $900 million to be exact, and that money in one form or another likely fell into the hands of Hamas. Here’s what Ed Morrissey wrote about it:

The money may not directly go to Hamas, but Hamas controls the flow of goods and services throughout Gaza. Any resources flowing into Gaza will eventually wind up in the hands of Hamas, probably almost immediately by comandeering the aid as it enters Gaza, or through a series of kickbacks from the NGOs that get it.

So this is why a Muslim Congressman voted on a resolution supporting Israel. Just shameful.
