You only have the rights you are willing to fight for. And THAT, ladies and germs, is why I skirt the edge of appropriate language. Rather than accept PC and being non offensive, I tend to believe that my right to say what I want trumps your right to not be offended. Nowhere is it written that you have a right to never being offended.
This must mean that if you make a comment that is deemed offensive to certain groups or the WH, get ready for a possible raid of your house during the middle of the night. I am now afraid to express my opinions publicly. What say you, if you dare!

I have a question, we know that this administration is claiming that the events in Cairo and Libya and now all over the middle east were the "direct result" of this short film. Isn't it possible to find out how many people had viewed the film before these horrific events happened? or even now for that matter. I would think that the numbers would be quite large to get this many people fueled up to reck havoc in such a short period of time. I'm curious! I want to know which came first, so to speak, the chicken or the egg?
Honestly, I don't believe the film is the cause of these events. I believe the film is the distraction set up to coincide with these events.

Even though "the movie" was on YouTube for months prior to the collective indignation of thousands of Middle Eastern Islamists all coming together on the eleventh anniversary of September 11th (through wild coincidence, no doubt), we are being told by our government and our media overlords that we must blame the movie.
You see, if we blame the movie for the burning of our foreign outposts and the brutal murders of four Americans (including our Libyan ambassador who was reportedly raped), we won't blame the burners and the looters and the murderers and the rapists.
You see, if we blame the movie for the Middle East burning, we won't blames the Islamists who are doing the burning and looting and raping and murdering.
Which means we won't further connect the dots and blame Obama's failed Middle East policy; the Obama Doctrine of backing away from the region and allowing events to unfold as America stands idly by -- as the Islamists in the Muslim Brotherhood grab hold of power in Egypt, a country that was once our largest and closest ally.
Blame the filmmaker.

"To the best of my ability". Therein lies the rub. Here's a question for you. If a president does not believe in the Constitution, and does not respect it at all, and swears to preserve, protect and defend it "to the best of my ability", then what does, the oath mean?
The LAtimes coverage of this story and others leans so far left that they updated the story on July 15th 1:46 am. The richest lady in the world said "she could not compete with $2-a-day salary" they translated that to she wants to pay people $2 a day headline (something she did not say). I wonder how much money the LATimes owner has maybe he should pay his editors $2 a day.

I find it a wee bit unbelievable that this man was taken in for "other" things just after his film hit the fan. Rubbish. Did it really require half a dozen people to bring him in, with photographers at the ready, as though he were a mass serial killer finally caught? This is all staged to scare anyone in this country from doing anything against the government. It's exactly what we voted for in 2008 - tyranny.
This is indeed, very scary. This is one example, how many others are out there, going unreported?

I am reading a book now called "In the Garden of Beasts" - http://tinyurl.com/8jju8nq - it is an account of the US Ambassador to Germany during the 30's.
When you read what happened during that time, how the Nazis presented a picture to the rest of the world of a "happy, prosperous" country, how nothing had changed under Hitler, how in fact, the country seemed to be prospering, while in fact, Jews and non-Jews alike were rounded up for "questioning", to be put in protective custody, how a journalist was made to leave Germany for telling the truth of what was really happening, the parallels are frightening.
What is the worst part is that officials and regular people overlooked what was happening because of the complicity of the Embassy, of US officials and the press. We all know the outcome of what happened, how the whole story never truly came out until the end of the war.
Those who choose to overlook history are doomed to repeat it and I am afraid, this is happening under our noses as we speak. The only difference between the 30's and now is the fact we have the internet and social media to spread the word. The press is useless,they are just as complicit as they were back then.

The primaries are over, the BS occurred and we are stuck with Romney. He's not very many peoples first choice. BUT he is a lot better than Obama, and continuing to criticize him now in my view, isnt helpful. We have the totally whacked out media for that.

Obama has abused his authority repeatedly and Congress won't do anything. Technically this guy wasn't arrested for speaking out against Islam, so i don't know that Congress can prove that he was. He did violate his probation, apparently. It is fishy, however, that whenever someone embarrasses the administration they find a reason to drag them into custody. They already realeased this guy, but not until after they released his name and he is terrified to go back home. Maybe that was the intention.....to scare this guy into shutting his mouth.
They can, the question is WILL congress do something? And with Boehner and McConnell you can rest assured that that answer is NO. In fact Boehner will probably just respond by gruffing a little bit and then caving to Obama's next demand because he doesn't want to look mean or racist.
