Technically speaking, Islam doesn't hate "Christianity" itself. There is a long standing blood feud that started in the Crusades when Christians and Muslims waged war, but technically speaking Christians started that fight. Most people aren't even aware that both Christians and Muslims share the view of the Old Testament as a holy scripture, in much the same regard. Muslims even view Jesus as a Prophet, just disagree (much like the Jewish faith) whether or not he was the Son of God.
Oh - boy - the main speaker is as awesome as the president's address was not...

It is perfect because it was the meat and medicine and antidote for every ill in President and Mrs. Obama's souls. He talks about Wilberforce, and slavery, about Nazi Germany, how Boenhoffer was saved at a black US church...and on and on...I pray they both heard this in the depths of their spirits...it was great.
If this is the only Prayer Breakfast the president has attended, it was the right one. I pray that the Lord will send water upon the good seeds that were planted and help them to grow...thanks be to GOD.

I'm with you, RS. Not surprising to me that Obama was so disinterested, but it never stops giving me that sick feeling inside. He clearly doesn't belong anywhere near anything even remotely close to Judeo/Christian views. If it isn't black theology or Islam, forget it.
The landslide will be massive... Liberals will be rioting in the street. Obama may lose 40 or more states.
It will be a great day for America and the world!
I was physically ill when I heard him use scripture to elevate himself. I believe he will answer for this one day - to a much higher and much more absolute power than us.
"I, me, my" over and over and over. No matter the event, or subject being discussed, it's always about him. I think, I feel, I see, because I, if I, when I, how I, what I, then I. His speeches are insufferable.
I've never given him a speech that qualifies above elementary school. Can't listen to it. I'll take your word for it. 20 secs into it - my God, how pathetic have we become?
Except he would be a lame duck with a buffoon for a VP who has no chance of continuing his policies into the next administration, and likely with GOP majorities in both chambers of congress. All the hell that will be unleashed is already in the cards since ObamaCare's mandates will go into full effect in '14. He just has to go so we can get that turd sandwich repealed.
I had the same take on this speech, not that I was able to watch much of it.
He seemed out of it and flat. You could tell he really really didnt want to give the speech.
I half expect Obama to shrivel in terror like a vampire would anyone ever show him a cross.
Pandering is nothing new to this man. I heard excerpts and choked; shocked that he would go down this path. He reminds me of O'Rielly when he tries to speak on Christianity....they both should STOP IT
unfortunately dear leader has been down this path before, and so have some libs. The only time they find Jesus is when they can use Him. It's pathetic- I should feel sorry for them, and I may some day, but right now it makes me angry.
I probably will, too, but they can't possibly be any worse than our daily national reality.

I'd love to have been able to sneak in and sabotage his speech by having this suddenly appear on a nearby screen:
he mocks the Bible, calls verses "obscure" and says we haven't been reading the Bible. I'd like to know how often he reads it, compared to how often he reads the quaran. He mocks the verses of the Bible which talk about slavery and stoning, yet embraces that which talks about killing the infidel. Hmmmm. Yes Virus, I would like to have been there as well if you had have been able to show that.
I swear, people who believe this kind of thing from people like dear leader complain when prayers are not heard- is it any wonder? How can we expect to ask things of the Almighty when He is not allowed anywhere in our nation, not even in many churches?

I heard some of this on Levin earlier, but due to my guys getting ready for bed, I had to keep my yelling at a minimum. Then I thought, why am I yelling and getting angry? We all know that politicians, especially those on the left only ever use Jesus Christ when they are trying to make a case for socialism and to prove how evil Conservatives are. It's in the Lord's Hands- He doesn't need me to be indignant anymore.
All I can do is to keep showing the Truth of Christ, not for my gain- but for those who are lost and because of people like this, who are confused.
No dear leader, Jesus is not a socialist. Jesus did not care about wealth, nor poverty- only the heart. He came to save our souls from hell. He did not come to make the rich pay more, the oppressor stop oppressing, the poor to suck at the government trough. He came to die for our sins, and He will come back to judge the nations and set things right once and for all. He does not love the poor but hate the rich, just as he does not hate the poor and love the rich. He loves all of us, but looks at our hearts, not our pocketbooks. He does however have something to say about hypocrites, which you may want to go read those parts a few times.
Last thing- it's hard to be enthusiastic about someone you don't know. If dear leader was truly a believer on Christ, he would be excited, he would be telling others about Him, wanting to share the Gospel instead of comparing Him with mere humans.
I'm not sure but this may be the first prayer breakfast he has been to since his immaculation. He never speaks of the Christian faith in an uplifting or positive way, ever. He sure loves to champion the Islamic faith though and he sure shows his hatred for the Jewish nation of Israel. It's no wonder why so many people think he is secretly a Muslim. I really wish little Barry would move to an Islamic country where he seems to want to be. He loves to bow to our enemies so it seems appropriate that he face west and bow several times a day to kiss the sand.

I know, I had to stop it at the whole "to whom much is given, much is required". IT WASN'T GIVEN! IT WAS EARNED! That's only the beginning of my problem with it. That was taken out of context on so many different levels I don't even know where to start!
Campaigning at the Nat'l Prayer breakfast? Class warfare at the Nat'l Prayer breakfast? Are you kidding me? This is disgusting! AND - he goes into collective salvation... I can't listen any more.
I could only imagine how difficult it is for him to give deference to Christianity....it would be acknowledging that there is a power greater than his.
