How many days has it been since the shooting in Newtown,CT? How many people have been killed in Chicago,Detroit,Cleveland,Gary Indiana, Philadelphia, and the other high crime areas? How many criminals have been caught and put in jail for using a gun in a crime or killing another person with a gun? How many of the gun laws on the books have been used to arrest the thugs,drug dealers,illegal guns through straw purchase,yet the government still wants to dis-arm the law abiding citizen because the criminals are going to hide from the law and if caught,they will shoot back and don't give a dam about the silly laws that govern us. If I were to speculate, I'd say that they're arming themselves for war against the people. The people are arming themselves too. It's quite the arms-race right now.

I read a while ago that pilots used to be required to carry a sidearm while on duty. I've also only recently learned that high school shooting clubs were not uncommon.
We've been taught to remain incompetent, foolish children. It's time to move out of mom's basement and do the work required to take responsibility and authority for our own lives.
Kids in high schools in my youth/hometown had gun racks in the back of their trucks and had their shotguns and rifles in them on campus.
But kids back then didn't listen to violent obscene inhumane music, play violent obscene inhumane games or watch violent obscene inhumane movies. GIGO - garbage in, garbage out is applicable to human brains as well as computers.
Kids back then also did not have violent, obscene, inhumane teaching right there in the school, either.

...the fact remains that NO GUN ever committed homicide, or raped, robbed, car-jacked, assaulted, or intimidated anyone. It is an inanimate object. The entire argument is based on a false premise.
Over the last four years, we've sold more guns in the US than the UK has population. Why haven't we exterminated ourselves yet? In fact, why isn't our crime rate more than the UK's?
Crime rates in England, where guns are illegal - even cops don't have 'em, is the highest in the EU, and nearly double what it is here in the US.
Crime is a human problem; removing the guns will only change how it is performed, and what tools are used. It will not remove the problem. Our problem is our morals, not our ability to defend ourselves.
I should be able to go to my local sporting good store and buy a Thompson submachine gun, or a pistol of my choice anytime I want to as long as I have the money to do so, and not be infringed in anyway of doing so.

Their approach is far from "common sense" or "sensible". Those words as they refer to the gun control issue are code words for "we will take your guns away and oppress you".
Correct, and we should all be stocking up on tar and feathers. The fools are running the asylum and we are not fighting hard enough. We should be holding the media accountable, questioning them at every turn and telling their program sponsor we disapprove.
