‘…a treasure which we should not lightly give up or lightly allow to be taken away from us.‘ – this is the thought that every American needs to take with them to the polls in November.
- Anonymous
Are you quoting Ron Paul?
- Anonymous
No, I was quoting the video above. Did you listen to it?
BTW, Timothy McVeigh succeeded, don’tcha know.
- Anonymous
Yes, I watched it. Our American dream ideals are base upon the fact that we have a bill of rights. The Patriot Act is an infringement on those rights.
The first link explains how the Patriot act does this. The second is a comprehensive analysis of Gingrich and his political history. It is not a liberal hit piece, but rather a conservative point by point detailing of Newt’s political agenda throughout his career.
If you watch the second video, and still believe that Gingrich is a good American, then you have a completely different view of what it is to be a good American than I do.
- Anonymous
My initial comment after the quote was referring to Obama, not an endorsement of any particular Republican candidate. One has to remember what Obama has done to our Republic over the last 3 years when they enter the voting booth, and it should be an easy choice. But they have to remember.
- Anonymous
Obama certainly is an enemy of the republic, and the constitution. Though he has simply continued, and added to the the anti-limited government movement that all presidents of the last fifty plus years have engaged in.
The thing that I like about the second video is that it shows how these guys are heavily involved in submitting our sovereignty to international rule. Gingrich is just one of many who supports a new society that does not involve the limitations on government that the constitution was written for. NAFTA and GATT are effective tools in destroying the economic sovereignty of the US. The US political involvement in these global organizations is paramount to treason under the constitution. Any time that a US president seeks the permission of these entities, or puts us under international law via treaties with them, we give up our constitutional basis for law in the US.
If we don’t start protecting the basis of our supreme law and how it governs the government, we will continue to see our government sell us out to international law. Soon enough, democracy in elections will be destroyed, and the bill of rights will have no legal teeth in which to bite tyranny. These treasonous treaties will replace our constitution, and put us under international rule of law, which will not be democratic.
This is what Newt has supported since the early seventies.

Wake up Paul, its Newt Gingrich, the best man for the presidency. Just read his Contract with America, an accomplishment no other politician can match. All the other candidates cannot match Newts brilliance, experience and he is the man who can run this country back into prosperity after the 4 year Obama nightmare.
AND, I don’t care about Newts baggage, all politicians have baggage.
- Anonymous
You should watch the second link on my other post. It is a little more than baggage. Many would call it treason.

I truly believe Newt would be a far better President than Obama, Romney, Paul, and Huntsman. There is breaking news that a coalition of conservative Christian leaders has come to the conclusion that Rick Santorum would be our best pick for president.http://blogs.cbn.com/beltwaybuzz/archive/2012/01/14/evangelicals-throw-support-to-santorum.aspx

I agree with you Hoppes, and the link is encouraging.

Thank-you toongoon, we are praying for Rick and that Newt, and Rick Perry can unite behind Rick Santorum.
- Anonymous
This coalescing of forces was to be expected. Are Perry’s numbers yet so low in SC that it would be best to bow out? If he did so, he would be doing conservatives a big favour in the wake of the Romney astroturf which has been rolled out against true conservatives since the RINO establishment decided to get their mojo on.
- Anonymous
Rick Perry had the best ads bar none, I think he was unfairly judged to be incompetent for the highest office. I really don’t know where he is at in the latest polling but I think he is still in the single digits. It was a big disappointment to see him fall off and never regain traction. Maybe after SC he will fall in behind Rick Santorum.
- Anonymous
I hope! I would much rather have Perry than Newt in the oval office.
- StNikao
Maybe Perry and Newt might make a good pair – like Moses and Aaron.
Moses could not speak articulately, so God let Aaron help him.As we have watched the debates, the strengths and shortcomings of each candidate has been revealed.
If we filter out the bitter/hate of the liberals and the scorn/ridicule of the media (even some of the conservative media) we see that none of them is the perfect candidate.
Romney won’t or can’t muster the gumption to stand up against the liberals, social agenda groups or even say that Obama is a socialist, much less an Islamofascist. He did not do that well in MA economically either.
Perry can say all that but gets bumfuzzled at times (his NH speech was just plain scary…like he was on drugs)
Santorum knows the social, political and spiritual battle the US is facing with Obama and radical Islam, but the moderates and independents so far, have not warmed up to him.
Ron Paul is great on economic policy, but his views on social issues, drugs, prostitution are radical. His views on Islam and foreign policy (even though US foreign policy has been inconsistent, dishonest, selfish, exploitative, too involved in other countries at times – exporting our social evils: abortion, now pressure to approve homosexuality etc.) – Paul still scares me. However, he is very popular with the young people, as Neil Cavuto has said. Would Paul agree to modify his foreign policy?
Newt articulates the concepts and problems well. He is the only one who has challenged the fallacy of Palestinian people and the other PC propaganda that the public has fallen for. But will the independents, women voters, young people, go for him?Cain could not articulate foreign policy as well as Newt – all he could say is 999.
Bachmann is smart, can debate, is strong in foreign policy and economics, courageous….but she did not gain the support or backers she needed to win.
Palin was not as articulate as Bachman, but well-liked…
Ryan is respected and capable…but is he ready?
Rubio is not qualified, as the son of immigrants who were not citizens when he was born.
God help us if Trump runs.
(I still like Huckabee.) - cabensg
I never judged Perry unfairly or thought him incompetent I just felt is was not his time. It’s not Santorum’s time it’s not Perry’s time and most certainly is not Romney’s time. It is Newt’s time. If these were ordinary times and we had not allowed ourselves to become enslaved to the the leftist dogma any of them would do as president but these are extraordinary times. It’s going to take a president who understands that and has the courage and where with all to stand up to the onslaught he’ll receive from the liberals at home and our enemies abroad and who isn’t afraid to help us bring our nation back from the brink.

What exactly does this mean? 150 “religious Leaders” decided that Santorum is the best man for the job. I would like to see the vote totals. Every time they took a ballot. Nothing against Santorum ( I actually like the man). Who is this “coalition of conservative Christians”, ( they do not represent me, and I am as conservative as you get, and a Christian per 1 John 5:1-12.
We need to inform, teach the Word, warn people of the evil that lies in hearts of men, but we do not need to form coalitions to make up our minds. Each man should act according to his own heart. If they want to contribute to the cause, they should target the evil actions of the present administration,(not the man, remember he has proclaimed to be your brother in Christ & only God knows) however his administration has the earmarks of evil philosophy all over, within, & without. Fight the enemy of any administration that takes us further & further from Our God.

Do you not try to influence friends, family, and other posters, they got together spent a couple days discussing who best represents their desires, beliefs, and agendas and decided Rick Santorum came the closest to implement their agenda. I have basically 3 criteria when choosing a candidate, 1) is the endorsement of the pro-life community, 2) is the candidates ACU rating, the third is the NRA rating. This site is also very informative and without outside opinions it is hard to come to a conclusion. We post here to try and sway opinions, to confirm our opinions and to get opinions.

I am excited to see the support that is being thrown behind Santorum and I like him a lot too. This country needs desperate measures for change in these desperate times. Never thought it would happen to me so quickly, but it did….

Santorum is a strong conservative on the social issues, but I’m not so sure he is a fiscal conservative. I’m from Pa. and from reading letters to the editor, plus editorials, etc. I’m not sure he would be able to carry his own state of Pa.
The best all around candidate is Perry. At this point it doesn’t look good for him, and I’m beginning to wonder if God isn’t going to let people have their way.
As a friend wrote the other day who has a dim, dark and cynical view of what’s going on said “that there is nothing short of the second coming of Christ that can slow this train.”
- Anonymous
Remember Palin’s words “I do not a title to effect change”. All three (Santorum, Gingrich and Perry) could coalesce and form a conservative block. Santorum has gained more votes than the other two in Iowa. Based on who of the three has been found consistently ahead of the others should give them a pretty good idea who the electorate like. The remaining two can strike a deal to be part of a Santorum or a Gingrich administration. Perry has come up with beautiful ads about his love for his country but has yet to be able to gain traction.
All three need to sit down and draw the straws. If they don’t, it will be a sure win for Romney to be nominated before the final damage ensues.
- Anonymous
Lets say they did that. That’s not a sure win for the conservatives. If it were to be Santorum then you better believe the liberals would do all they could to destroy him. He hasn’t had time for all the negatives to come about him as yet, but they will. For instance the other day I read a headline about Santorum that said “Santorum drinks beer” I know many of whom that would be a turn off.

For instance the other day I read a headline about Santorum that said “Santorum drinks beer” I know many of whom that would be a turn off.
A beer summit for the country might not be a bad idea.
Whoever wins the nomination will have a hard time with the liberals.
What I am going to write next might be off-subject for some. But reality is: we badly need to turn to G-d. He alone can help us put the country on track with a G-dfearing person at the helm. Israel’s and America’s (spiritual Israel) destinies have very similar aspects. If you look at the Israelis right now, they are under the threat of Iran and guess what? so are we. Israel is a microcosm of what America could be experiencing next in terms of attacks on our liberties. My answer might not be the one you expected but I’ll say it again: America needs to turn back to G-d. He alone can heal our land. And the Holy Land too.

>> http://blogs.cbn.com/beltwaybuzz/archive/2012/01/14/evangelicals-throw-support-to-santorum.aspxIt’s about time Santorum got some respect, politically speaking.
And, a religious portfolio is not an issue, whether it’s Romney’s Mormonism or Santorum’s Catholicism.
However, a “religious portfolio” definitely WOULD be an issue if a “top-rung-of-the-ladder” islamic jihadist were running for POTUS.
Why?
‘Cause shariah law is the ideological enemy of the Constitution of our Republic… starting with the 1st Amendment.
Mormonism and Catholicism, both representing the Christian perspective derived from Jewish history, are NOT promoting political tyranny masquerading as religious freedom, seeking to impose a religious tyranny over religious OR secular liberty.

Newt can’t win the general because he’s a bigot. He just can’t keep his mouth shut about different races and ethnic backgrounds. He won’t get the Hispanic vote. He won’t get independents. And in the general, his elitist attitude will be played on the news 24/7. Obama won’t need to do a thing.

There’s lots more. But the food stamps one was hilarious. And it doesn’t matter what point he was trying to make. Yes, get more people working. But people who work are some of the people who need food stamps. Newt is clueless and has a loose tongue. And complain it comes from leftists sites? Maybe. But I saw the clips. He said those things. And good luck explaining to Independents why they should vote for a guy that is a certified bigot.
Do I need links for Paul being a bigot? No. Ron Paul is a nutjob. There have been plenty of links to evidence of this on this very site.

I think he must have a point (?). Politico, ABC, and NAACP all are bigots in their own right. Therefore, they MUST know what a bigot is, don’t you think. I’m going to have to rethink my whole stance on bigotry.
bigot (plural bigots)
1.One who is obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices.
2.One who is strongly partial to one’s own group, religion, race, or politics and is intolerant of those who differ.
3.Vorlath, Politico, ABC, NAACP. - http://pulse.yahoo.com/_IDAKYMXLZIRLMLGEZJXV3AOO7E Vorlath
I didn’t say that Politico, ABC and NAACP called Newt a bigot.
***I CALLED NEWT A BIGOT***
… because that’s what he is.
- http://pulse.yahoo.com/_IDAKYMXLZIRLMLGEZJXV3AOO7E Vorlath
Do you want to get Obama out or not? Yes, those are some liberal sites. But there are videos of this stuff. Don’t you get it? Newt cannot win. And he IS a bigot.
Did you see him talk about the food stamps to the NAACP? Tell me that isn’t being a bigot? How do you spin that? And saying that Spanish is a ghetto language. How do you spin that? Oh… that’s right. Liberals are the ones talking about it. Are you saying they wouldn’t be talking about it? Republicans are talking about it too.
And you asked for links. I gave them to you to prove that it’s out there. Once you know it to be true that these issues are out there, what do you do? You blame the link, but not the facts. How does that work?
- Anonymous
Did you actually listen to the first video you referenced? How on earth can you make Newt out to be a bigot from that video? You’ve just undermined your argument with that video. I think that if you say it enough you begin to believe it. Dude! Sorry! You are hearing things that don’t exist in that first youtube video.
Now as to your second video.. his apology and explanation may not convince those who convince themselves he’s a bigot. You’re obviously one of them. But his wider point was that English is the language of mobility in America and advancement and that it unifies the country, as it should. Did he make a dumb mistake initially? Yes.
What about O’s “guns and religion” comment. No outrage on that and other egregious comments from him… nothing to see there folks, let’s move on! But that will be the meme…. Newt’s racism. You’d think for a racist he wouldn’t learn Spanish… but what the heck, regardless… he’s still a racist.
This is where we are at in America today. There is not one candidate who will pass this kind of litmus test for perfection. Once a transgression is enacted… the hellish forces of intolerance grind ever onward against them. So go ahead and smear and name call and use the “R” word without actually using it. It’s a liberal tactic, and you fall right in lock step.
Whether Newt can win or not is anybody’s guess. I’m glad your Walmart crystal ball predicts that he can’t win. My crystal ball, however, is still in the shop. Who knows? I’m for Santorum… another imperfect candidate.
Did you ever stop to think about this. The level of vitriol, hatred and name calling against Gingrich is in direct proportion to how much the establishment fear him… because he’s not one of them and he knows who they are. And the attacks by media shills for the Dems prove they can’t put Obama up against Newt because Gingrich would wipe the floor with Obama. Gingrich will bloody Obama in debates so badly that there will be blood all over the floors and splattered on the the curtains. Obama will run out screaming and crying after any debate, folding chairs flying in his wake. That’s how badly Newt will expose their fake messiah … so this is a scenario they want to prevent by destroying him now in a similar way they destroyed Cain. Cain was target One… Newt is target Two. It’s the debates they fear… Gingrich played his had too much by describing his tactics in any upcoming debates. The Dems and the media got more scared… so they have to destroy Gingrich with whatever meme du jour… and today it’s Newt’s racist.
So leave the name calling to the Dems and the liberals. Newt is not perfect… and there is plenty to criticize him about… but if you finesse your criticisms of Newt your argument would be taken more seriously.

If Newt is a bigot, it is probably based on elitism. Big government republicans who support global entities taxing gases that we exhale when we breath is not exactly being for the little guy. I agree with your assessment of his chances to win in the general election.
- http://punditpawn.wordpress.com PunditPawn
Gee, no one asked Obama if he could win and his resume simply had the words ‘I’d like to win’ written on it because there was nothing else of substance.
Newt’s already done it once, plus had decades of political skills while obama was still wetting himself.
The fact that Newt ‘can’t win’ is irrational.

” . . . because [to Paul] America is only an idea to manipulate.”
Fascinating to me how much Newt, Mitt, and the other desperadoes are forced to emulate Ron Paul’s message, the principles, and the American statesman heritage Ron has represented for 36 years.
I can only imagine that you must be too young to remember when Newt was reprimanded, and penalized $300,000 (in 1997 Dollars) for ethical wrongdoing. He was basically kicked out of Congress. This had never happened before, ever.
–Just so you know.

Yup… you are absolutely correct about Gingrich. It’s sucks, but the slate of candidates IS what it IS… and people have to make a choice. You hold your nose and make the choice.
From this less than stellar batch of candidates comes your messiah, Paul, who sits at the top of a bad heap. I’m always in awe how self serving Paul’s pontificating about the Constitution and the Founders is designed to push an absolutely disastrous and dangerous foreign policy.
There is an unnerving elitism about Paul’s type of putative Constitutional orthodoxy, and “where elitism dwells, true conservatism cannot long abide.” (not my quote). These are signals that libertarians who tie their ideology to Paul’s horse are being taken for a non-aggression axiom ride of their lives… with an added component of anti-semitism thrown in to stoke the coals. Sorry to say it… but that anti-semitism will never ever fly with true conservatism. It’s a shame that many libertarians buy in. This component alone makes Paul a nut job. No amount of fiscal orthodoxy will change it.
If his foreign policy ideas were to do a 180, then I would have little problem with the guy because of his fiscal ideas. But he even doubles down on stupid… regarding the killing of the nuclear scientist in Iran. He calls it terrorism! And of course in a backhanded way blames the US… Again!
Just so you know… as well.

” . . . killing of the nuclear scientist in Iran. He calls it terrorism!”
From your comments I can see that you have learned one of many dominant social themes from your masters well.
Paul supporters admit that he is an imperfect messenger for mass marketing on TV; however, it’s not about the messenger always –Paul’s principles are the message. Principles based on our American heritage.
You can tell yourself I’m wrong Sir, you can “hold your nose and make the choice”, but that’s all you’ve got on the morning after the election in November.
Another fake.

I learned it from my Masters! I learned it from Paul.
Hate to say it but you Paul zealots are pretty much the same… for a whole host of reasons, not the least of which is a pretense to the aforementioned orthodoxy… everyone else is wrong… only the truly initiated in the rites of Paul doctrine are right. It matters little whether his detractors agree with Paul on about eighty percent of his fiscal ideas… for the doctrinaire and inflexible Paulbots any potential members to the club have to accept it ALL or they are excluded from the little Paulite clique.
Go ahead vote for Paul and divide the vote. If you, by some unknown miracle, were able to vote your messiah into the White House, his foreign policy would succeed in bringing down America faster than Obama himself. Under Paul there would be no more Constitution to protect and defend.
Yes it is what it is… and unfortunately Paul “is what he is” as well… and that “IS” is dangerous for America.

Look I have to give credit to Newt for this very important aspect of his campaign, and that is, he never gives the same speech. That is one of the key reasons I will sit through a video of him when he speaks about our country and its rich history. I wish more candidates, I REALLY identified with, could do this very same thing.
The reason why we all tend to get tired and put out by politicians is because they use the same friggin talking points in EVERY droning speech. Newt has a way of telling the story with passion.
There is my credit to him on that. Now,,,,,does it help when we need to have him explain the couch idea or the idiotic Wilsonian-Poli-whatever? Absolutely. And I will continue to hammer when he doesn’t answer. And instead starts in on some obscure date recall of the past to spin out of the question.

If we truly had unalienable individual rights then there would be no such thing as taxation or government regulations. The simple fact is that some of the amendments to the constitution (eg. the income tax) contradicts individual rights; they should be considered null and void because individual rights trumps them.

Capitalism makes America a great nation and gives us the opportunity to pursue our dreams and make it our way. Newt is a strong opponent of capitalism who thinks that capitalists are “vultures.” Rather, he supports government subsidized housing from Fannie Mae and huge government expenditures on Medicare and Social Security because reforming such entitlement programs would be, in his words, “right-wing social engineering.”
- Anonymous
Wow. You talk like MSNBC. Take words and project them into concepts or ideals that aren’t really there. ‘Newt hates capitalism’, ‘reforming entitlement programs is right-wing social engineering’. Both of your concepts are misconceptions of what he actually said and believes, but don’t let that get in the way of a good story, Barry.

You are absolutely right! We need more than a speech written by staffers, but spoken by Newt to make us believe that Newt believes what he said. He must really think we are imbeciles to talk of understanding what America is about, when he attacked Capitalism the other day. We need to be at the top of the index of Economic freedom. To do this, we need to close many government agencies, repeal Obamacare, implement a flat tax, reduce government spending to 2.5% of GDP, protect property rights, and deport illegal aliens.

Every time Obama goes into Newt’s past Newt reminds people of the booming 90s jobs jobs jobs, balanced budgets and less debt and that since he was chased out of office they’ve piled 10 trillion on the backs of our children. Newt is the absolute perfect candidate to destroy Obama and Romney is the absolute picture perfect candidate for Obama and Obama has the pictures.

Does attacking Bain Capital and Ryan’s budget as “right wing social engineering” defend conservatism?
Demeaning Romney with “Mittens” is cute, but I wonder how many of those doing it have achieved greater success than valedictorian at Brigham Young, Law and MBA degrees from Harvard, Governor and the huge personal gains from Bain and the only profit turned from the Olympics?
Just asking…..”Mittens” sounds more like something for an effete snob and failure like Obama. Or the ones who’s heads are exploding because of Romney’s discipline and success this campaign season.
Facts are facts and fantasies are fantasies….like Newt getting elected President being the latter.. - Anonymous
Stop the nonsense with the attacking Ryan’s plan BS. Exactly what big reforms has Ryan passed into law with majority support of the American public?
Newt understands that you have to bring more than just Republicans along and that the GOP can’t just ramrod legislation like that through like the Dems did Obamacare or the GOP will be walking in the wilderness again. Sheeeeeeeeesh!

Sounds like you’re describing Gingrich and Perry supporters knocks on Romney….ya know, “true conservatives” who would rather walk in the wilderness than be called a……here goes….a RINO. Sounds like you’re saying Newt compromises to effect legislation. On one hand we agree, on another I see hysterical flavor of the month seeking by Not Romneys.
Newt’s smart but he’s aesthetically repulsive and his compulsion of destroying others around him makes him dream fodder for negative campaigns. - Anonymous
Not quite, Newt pulled the country to the right. Romney pulled himself from right to wrong and signed R-Care into law, among other things such as appointing judges, guns etc…

“achieved greater success than valedictorian at Brigham Young, Law and MBA degrees from Harvard, Governor and the huge personal gains from Bain and the only profit turned from the Olympics?”
Obviously he hasn’t been successful when it comes to running for office as many times he has tried. Except for the governorship, since he finally decided to come clean with the folks in MA that he was a liberal and not a republican otherwise he would have lost. As for his business success – all you have to prove is to make money regardless of the outcome, which he has.
Mittens doesn’t have a conservative bone in his body; he’s nothing but a liberal. I wouldn’t put it past him if he loses the nomination that he would run as a Democrat. You know the flip floppy thingy he does often.

Hmmm, I wonder who else has a Law degree from Haavaad. Methinks you doth protest too much, Barry. I don’t think it makes or breaks one’s policies by what we call him. We are still the employers of all these politicians and can choose to call them whatever we feel is appropriate. We don’t have to have a law degree to do it.
Word picking about what he said about Capitalism or about what he said about Ryan’s plan doesn’t cut it. Just sounds like lawyer talk. Learn that at Haavaad? Show the quotes he actually said and not state what you heard somebody else tell somebody else about.
Just like Romney saying he likes to fire people. Taken out of context, like you seem to love to do, makes it sound good, but it still isn’t accurate.

Taken from…. The Citizens Rule Book
“In 1776 we came out of BONDAGE with FAITH, UNDERSTANDING and COURAGE. Even against great odds, and with much bloodshed, we battled our way to achieve LIBERTY. LIBERTY is that delicate area between the force of government and FREEWILL of man. LIBERTY brings FREEDOM of choice to work, to trade, to go and live wherever one wishes; it leads to ABUNDANCE. ABUNDANCE, if made an end in itself, will result in COMPLACENCY which leads to APATHY. APATHY is the “let George do it” philosophy. This always brings DEPENDENCY. For a period of time, dependents are often not aware they are dependent. They delude themselves by thinking they are still free – “We never had it so good.” – “We can still vote, can ‘t we?” Eventually abudance diminishes and DEPENDENCY becomes known by its true nature: BONDANGE!!!” - Dan

Art,
Franklin Graham was on ABC last night and when asked if Mormons were Christian. To paraphrase he stated that the ONLY book for Christians is the Bible and not the Book of Morman PLUS the Bible. Didn’r say that Mormans were not Christians but the message was loud and clear. Tempered his response that the Mormons are good people and share many of the same beliefs. May not have been brought up but it’s in the thoughts of the gentlemen.

Newt for President.
Newt made a brilliant move yesterday by denouncing the Super PAC add after the Wall Street Journal gave it 4 Pinocchio’s for distortion and inaccuracies. He stayed consistent with his position and publicly told them they should change it or take it down completely. But that is not brilliant part, it was the timing! The Obama campaign issued a memo this morning bashing Romney over Bain, and its pretty good (in that it shows how Obama will attack and beat Romney). So here is how this plays out. Newt steps back from Super PAC lies, calling on Romney to do the same, he won’t. Republicans (if the news reports it) get a glimpse of how Obama can bash Romney and start to second guess his “elect-ability.” Next, republicans take a second look at Newt just in time to win South Carolina and gain momentum into Florida making this a three man race into March!!!
Granted, I am for Newt totally because of his solutions for out country, but we can’t let Mittens walk away without a fight!
It started this morning. I turned on the news and it was happening. They were talking about Obama’s article and Newt taking the high ground….. Also, Limbaugh is starting to notice as well.

The newest poll has ‘obameny’ at 37%…I feel sick!
- Anonymous
This is the state that elected Progressive Lindsey Graham. Can people not see that we are we are being herded into a blind canyon?
Romney invented Obamacare before he was against it.
- Anonymous
I was really worried by the poll until I scrolled on down and noticed that 380 democrats were voting, that it was an online poll and the margin of error was 5%. Why is Fox Nation misleading people? The way they and Drudge touted this poll, it was as if God himself conducted it and put his stamp of approval on it. Anybody but Romney people!
- wodiej
because Fox wants Romney the RINO.

LMAO! One of those scientific online polls? ROTFLMAO! clear your cookies and vote early and vote often and if that don’t work because it checks IPs then unplug your DSL/cable modem and get yourself a new IP. That’s how the Paulies typically skew those type polls. Some cable companies use static IPs and some use dynamic IPs. If yours uses the former no dice though.

Newt supports this, and wants to expand its powers. How is that supporting the American dream?
- StNikao
Newt is not a bigot, neither are Santorum and Paul.
Bigot is the special favorite word in Lib-speak. It’s the same as ‘like’ in Teen-speak.
- http://twitter.com/113KriEger 13Krieger
”language of the left” my friend. These libtards always resort to name calling when their arguement is weak and ineffective.
- http://twitter.com/113KriEger 13Krieger
I thought Newt did an excellent explaination of the American dream. Well rooted in facts and history that is spot on with defining the issue.
Great Job Newt!!!!
- Anonymous
I do not need anyone telling me what the American dream is. I need a politician with the guts to stand up and admit the truth, that our Federal government is hopelessly out of control and corrupt.
I need to hear a republican candidate stand with conviction and say that Obama is not the problem but merely the figurehead of a corrupt political class, complicit in his lies, deceit, lawlessness and rape of the Republic.
Liberty and freedom and hang by a thread. Our Constitution is under attack from within. All branches of government have placed themselves above the law and answer only to themselves. America needs a leader with the courage to level with America and lead.
To hell with the platitudes and feel good rhetoric. Time to look the enemy in the eye and fight.

I believe Newt was addressing a question here. Not the forum to be attacking.

Santorum fans are doing *exactly* what Romeny and the establishment pray for. Split the conservative vote and hand it to Romney. Also exactly what Glenn Beck wants to happen.
You can listen to the above video of Newt…. hear what a ‘nefarious progressive facist’ he really is? Yep he will start ’rounding people up’ from day 1 if he’s elected. So sayeth the church of Snake Oil’s favorite mouth peice, Glenn Beck. Amen, pass the canned food.
Newt was pouring over American history books before Glenn the D.B. Beck was born. You Santorum people are very depressing, you can’t see your being used. You can’t see your a tool of the establishment. A vote for Santorum at this point is a vote for Romney. The most PROGRESSIVE, LIBERAL, ESTABLISHMENT, ELITEST in the primary. And the Glenn Beck show’s agenda is getting Romney elected, birds of a feather flock together. The truth has no agenda but Glenn does. Wake up Conservatives before it’s too late.
If you split the Conservative vote in S. Carolina, and hand it to Romney, its’ OVER, Romney wins, primary’s finished, establishment chuckles. - http://twitter.com/113KriEger 13Krieger
You are truely dilutional. If you are pushing Perry or worse Ron Paul then go to another forum because your smear will not work here.
Newt and Santorum are C O N S E R V A T I V E S…..and the GOPs best chance at defeating Obama. To call a vote for Santorum a vote for ROmney you must be smoking something illegal because Gingrich and Santorum are the GOPs best hope for a Conservative candidate.
- Anonymous
You didn’t catch I was being sarcastic, sorry about that. My point is Newt is the Conservative with at least a chance to win still. All the nasty words I mentioned about Newt were from Glen Beck’s mouth in the past 3 weeks.
My point about Santorum is, I fear, correct. While Conservatives keep playing musical chairs, Romney wins. If Santorum gets too much support in S. Carolina, this primary is finished. If a Conservative can’t win in S. Carolina, or better said, if Romney wins there, it’s all over. The establishment has already been pushing to say it’s over, they rigged Virginia for Romney already, he has Iowa and NH. So, S. Carolina is a MUST win for Conservatives, and Newt is the only hope for that. If Newt can win it changes the race and Romney isn’t so inevitable. If Santorum does well, Conservatives kiss their last chance goodbye.
And yes I know, Santorum is a nice guy and a real Conservative. He lacks charisma and Newt has way more credentials and debate skill.
We keep splitting our vote and the establishment/moderates/progressives win. - wodiej
I’ve never liked Beck. He’s erratic and a doomsayer. I agree that the non Romney vote is being split. Everyone needs to drop out and let Romney and Gingrich fight for it. The other four are not going to win the nomination.

“No…there is another.”
–Yoda - http://twitter.com/113KriEger 13Krieger
yeah, there is another and his name is Rick Santorum!

If you say so. Good luck beating Obama with Santorum.
- wodiej
Speaker Gingrich, please don’t give up. Your record speaks for itself. You clearly love this country. I have never once heard Romney or any of the other candidates speak about our history like you do. The only other person who is actually not running that loves this country as much as you do is Gov. Sarah Palin. I hope you will find a place for her in your cabinet should you win.
The past is gone and the future is uncertain. We only have today. We are all flawed and have made mistakes. You have sought forgiveness for yours which shows a humble character that too few have, especially in government.
- wodiej
half of polling was done on Democrats.
- bobemakk
The is Newt Gingrich at his best. He is a brilliant man and the most qualified to be president, bar none. None of the other candidates have even come close to his “Contract with America,” which is one of Newts biggest accomplishments. His baggage is history, all politicians have baggage.

None of the other candidates can pull something off the top of their head like that. Newt has spent his time studying and knowing what makes us a great country.
We never know who will make a great president because events set the agenda.
But all I can say is WOW!
- B-Funk
“We never know who will make a great president because events set the agenda.”
That’s a very poignant statement. We’ve been on Newt’s case for his attacks of Romney from the left, but it’s really hard to know for sure that it’s who Newt is or if he’s just been caught up in the tumult that is political life at the top in our country. Newt does have what it takes to make a good Prez, so I’m going to wait and see what comes of him too. Good statement.

“We never know who will make a great president because events set the agenda.”
That is really a great point. I recall in Timothy Geitner’s confirmation hearings he recounted how he had lived in a foreign country as a youth and learned how to empathize with how foreigners think. The problem with that is we desperately need American leaders who think like Americans. The ruling class commiserates with foreigners but disdains Americans. They think being a “citizen of the world” is superior to being a citizen of one of the great States in the heartland of America. We need more leaders who understand America’s history and who will approach the events that confront them from a perspective steeped in American history and ways of thinking.

Newt can articulate conservatism best, he can sway independants, he can fight back against the Democrat smear machine with his words. Romney can’t even defend his time at Bain that well, and it should be easy! Newt has had millions of money in negative ads thrown at him, so-called unbaised pundits eschew him, and many conservative sites denigrate him(such as Drudge, Fox Nation, NRO, Hot Air(or Hot Gas as some say) ect. Here is my question, what the hell are they afraid of??
- Anonymous
GOP establishment: You will do what you’re told and vote Romney. We don’t have to motivate you by nominating a conservative because the Democrat should motivate you to vote Republican. We should not have to behave like we actually believe in small government and fiscal responsibility. So what we grew the size and scope of government and added trillions and trillions in debt on your children’s back and delivered Harry, Nancy, and Obama last time we had the power. We give you lip service about fiscal responsibility/smaller government and that should be enough for you. Its bad when Democrats add trillions to the debt and grow government and good when we do it. You will do what your told and vote for Romney!
- Anonymous
well ‘they’ can kiss it! I am from canada, so I can’t do anything but encourage you all and to take heart. We have been crazy liberal as long as I have been alive, but we are finally going down the conservative path. We need the States to change too, as our fortunes are tied with yours. The GOP machine needs another wake-up call, they have forgotten 2010 and the will of the people. I support Newt, but the two Ricks are also an improvement on Romney. My hubby thinks I am nuts to care so much about what happens there, but you are not the shining city on the hill for nothing!

We WILL take back our party after nominating Newt and then we’ll take back our country.
