Newt said that he realizes that what happened to Perry last night could have happened to any one of them, and he had nothing but great things to say Perry.
He also empathized with Cain referring to Pelosi as “Princess Pelosi” and described Pelosi an irritating partisan.
He then describes why he would be a better president than Romney, and also discusses his response to anticipated attacks on his personal life should he continue to rise in the polls.
I will say this. I’m not sure if I can trust Newt, but dang if he doesn’t sound exactly like what I want in the White House and I believe him when he says he’s ready to be president. My feeling is that he just corrupts too easily in the DC bubble, as we’ve seen in the past with his ‘couch moment‘. Maybe he won’t this time, but it feels like a gamble. Either way, if it comes down to Newt vs Obama, I will run to the polls to vote for Newt.
