Yesterday on the barely-watched “Chris Matthews Show”, CBS Chief White House correspondent Norah O’Donnell made this bizarre comment concerning Barack Obama’s approach to fighting the War on Terror (video via Townhall):
Let’s see. Obama doesn’t even call it the War on Terror anymore – it’s now the Overseas Contingency Operation, or something. I don’t know – that sounds more touchy-feely to me, not more aggressive. Furthermore, Obama waited 16 long hours to give anxious military commanders on the ground the go-ahead to kill Bin Laden, after being informed that the elusive al Qaeda leader was a sitting duck. I’m guessing it would have taken Bush about two seconds to give the same order. Throw in a few more random examples like Obama’s post-election Apology Tour, the record number of attempted terror attacks on Obama’s watch, and Obama’s implicit if ambiguous support for the Ground Zero mosque and it becomes obvious that O’Donnell is out pretty far on a limb here.
