So bring the troops home if we can not afford to feed them properly I would bet most americans that get some form of a so called entitlement are not eating the way the troops are today...

A few things for you to think about:
Logistically supplying three hot meals a day is a nightmare. Not to mention that moving supplies in Afghanistan is an extremely dangerous undertaking
The cost in time, money, and resources is huge.
We are going to have to reduce services in phases when different COPs, and smaller FOB consolidate onto the larger bases while we pull out.
What I got feed in Desert Shield, Desert Storm, OEF 1, OIF 2, OIF etc etc, was always changing based resources available, however, I promise you that what they are getting now if Afghanistan is amazingly good compared to an average over the last 24 years I've been in the Army at all locations.
And my final thought is that America is bankrupt. Everyone that posts here and reads the right scoop knows that fact. The military is going to have to make do with less. Taxes are going up, services are going down, standard of livings will have to go down. Inflation is out of control. If you read shadowstat and the economicnoise websites you know this.
As someone who is on yet another deployment right now, I am telling you we are living beyond our means. We can make do with less. That fact that soldiers are whining about it leads me to believe that we have coddled the American fighting man to much and for too long.
If you want to blame someone, look in the mirror. You the american people have given myself and my fellow soldiers this shitty war for over a decade while continuing to elect politicians who have not been willing to use overwhelming force. We could have been done a decade ago, but our elected leaders knew americans couldnt handle war waged right.
I know i went off on a tangent there, but dammit, let us win, let us fight, give us what we need to do the first two, or bring us home right now and end this. This half ass war is getting a bunch of people killed for nothing if we leave without winning.
If I could have just one wish granted at this very moment it would be to be in a position where I could hock up a big, green one for Obamao's dinner plate. Maybe dump in it for dessert...

Obama is no good, we all know that. I saw a short film on line about the troops in Afghanistan rationing their breakfast while "the self proclaimed Messiah/Obama," feasts on lobster and wine. He has no conscience. Cutting the military budget in these tumultuous times is one of the biggest mistakes he will ever make. IMPEACH THE BUM!

DOD, no doubt, is cutting expenses by almost 22%. Yet...4G brand new Obamaphones are now being distributed to welfare recipients with a decent calling plan.. I heard two young women in line at Sam's club showing off their new phones while also waiting to pay for their lobster tails and steaks, etc with their EBT card in one hand and their new phone in the other. Obama is not the only one eating well. It's like this...the Dems decided if they didn't do a budget, they could continue on with the monster budget they created in 2009...you know the one with 800 Billion dollar stimulus? In essence, Obama has been giving a stimulus every year for four years and this is how he bought his votes from his cronies on down to the low information voters. We only won in 2010 because Obama had not hooked all the little fishies yet...but he has now. One little piece of news...Obama has been renovating the White House since 2010. They have now moved on to the West Wing. How much? Well two years ago the estimate was nearly 400 million..I have no doubt this will get to over half a billion dollars...while our boys fighting for us get to play with scorpions for entertainment and eat MRE's for their hot meals. This is what happens when you are not part of the voting base of a President...it is that simple.
What can I say that hasn't already been said about this ignorant jackass? He's the worst president in the history of our Republic and we're stuck with his sorry butt for four more years. Is this a great country...or what?

Nothing new, while my unit was in Iraq we moved so much we ate nothing but MRE's for a solid month. I got one phone call while I was there in Northern Kuwait and we never saw a computer for e-mail. Our only recreation was digging up scorpions and making them fight to the death. I'm sure it was nice to get steak and taters but on the FOP you can't move a kitchen trailer and the cooks to fix omelets for breakfast.

But they aren't moving in as part of an initial force. Everyone understands that. But when you have some basic comforts and then take them away for budgetary reasons....c'mon. Especially the FOB's out in BFE. I used to use Chrome exclusively. I quit after learning they didn't change their banner for memorial day I think. They will do it for Kwanzaa and Green day. I quit the day I saw that. No more. It was a great browser though.

It is the old elected official way, if you have less of a budget, you take it out on the most wanted services first, make the citizens "see" the mistake they made for screaming about budget cuts. It is NEVER done with the least needed services first. See how that is played?

I don't want to draw attention to my doorstep, but I have read on more than one site, that he will not survive a second term. While he may have many who support him, he also has many who oppose him.
Personally, I hope it doesn't happen that way. I believe the resulting tumult and chaos would be more than the country could bear. But, I do hope we can get rid of him legally, through The Constitution, and his hatred for that most revered, of documents. I believe the people would accept that, and respect it, and move on.

Sweet Baby Ruth Gingsburg doesn't agree with you about that constitution thing. The Republicans approved her at the time. Obama may get his chance to appoint two more justices. Doesn't that just tickle your internal workings!

I, personally, I want to see the bastard impeached. I want to see him, and everyone else associated with him, criminally charged. Obama cares about Obama, and nothing else. Just as he doesn't care about anyone else's family, I could not care less about his. He, and all of his cronies, even if that includes his wife, need to be wearing orange jumpsuits in spending a lot of years in federal prison.
This isn't just about breakfast. This is about an imperial president that believes he's above the law. Time after time he has broken the law, deprived others of the rights, and looks to maximize others misery for political gain. I don't know how much more of this the American people are willing to take, but I hope this is all coming to a head soon.

Forgive me. I just get so frustrated with Conservatives sometimes. They just never seem to appreciate what this President is trying to do. The redistribution of wealth in this country, INCLUDES the Military. Duh! The military have too many perks as its is. They are overpaid to begin with, they get to travel all over the world on our dime, and still, they want free food! Will it never end?
Can't you even begin to see what this President is trying to do? He is trying to make us all equal. In spite of the differences in our abilities, or our education or experience. I ask you, what's not fair about that? Why should the Military be any different than the rest of us? I mean, what do they do really, that is so special, that any one of us couldn't do just as well?
I rest my case. No doubt, you see my point.

Obama has a tough job balancing the budget, while supplying enemies with weapons, caring for illegals, subsidizing Brazil and Mexico to drill for oil, paying Russia to put our astronauts into space, rebuilding our embassies that were burned to the ground, his and Michelle's vacations, kobe steak and lobsters, skeet shooting, golfing. You have the nerve to think troops should get more than MRE's? I could go on but my blood pressure is rising.
There is one segment of the Military that he takes special care of. The aircraft mechanics and ground crew at Anderson AFB who keep Air Force One in tip-top shape.
This is the epic game of denying any essential service employee anything they need for their job and calling it a budget cut. It's a ploy to raise taxes. It gets everyone all upset. Meanwhile the POS we have for a leader gets the best stuff for himself. Pretty sick of the government, our elected representatives an the preezy.
