Obama: Financial institutions are in it to make money and that’s why we need regulation

Once again without a teleprompter, Obama slips up and says something that reveals more about his ideology than he’d normally want people to hear. In short, Obama is painting those who are out to make money as selfish, greedy pigs that need to be regulated. It’s consistent with his war on insurance companies for the first 2 years of his term, suggesting that because they have a profit motive they are out to screw you, the customer, so they can pad their pockets. That’s his view on business which goes right along with wanting the “rich” to pay more in taxes, otherwise known as their fair share.

Ugh.

And to hear him answer the first question ‘have the banks learned anything’ with ‘they’ve learned how awesome I am’ is just insufferable. A dictator-poser.
