Increasing the debt ceiling is irresponsible. Why doesn't Obama take any responsibility for the our horrible debt?
There he goes again, threatening the elderly and soldiers who are largely made up of Republicans. Has anyone else ever noticed that never does he speak about the welfare moochers not getting a check? Rather he threatens the people that produced or provided a service to this Country and or are still providing a service to this Country. However never a word about not paying out to welfare and entitlement class of people that many of which have never produced or provided a service rather provide only a burden. It happens to be a large portion of his voter base.

Obama is stating the facts. If the debt ceiling isn't raised (as it always has been until he came into office), these expenses that congress incurred will not be able to be paid.
Congress already spent the money for these things and now Congress is trying to hold the debt ceiling hostage.
Blame you good old boy Republicans if the bills that they incurred aren't paid.
The President is not the one who spends the money, he does not have that power. It is Congress who spends the money and if they spent it and are now refusing to pay the bill, it is their fault.
Learn who these things work before you go pointing fingers!
Time to stand up to this communist and call his bluff. Not pay the troop? Not pay senior citizens? he does not have the balls.

In a perfect world the government would cut bureaucrat's pay by half and start closing un-needed departments (OSHA, FEMA, HUD, HHS, NLRB, Dept of Education and Homeland Security including TSA), maybe even cut Congressional and administrative pay.
But, alas that will not happen because this is a marxist/socialist administration and they will only hurt those who can least afford to be hurt (the poor and the elderly, and those who are under oath to our military).

I know it's hard to hold back. I can not imagine the mindset of the military at this very moment.
Ok Mr. President let’s cut those millions and billions of new regulations created since you have been President. Or that humongous hurricane relief bill that should have been around $30B but went to the house at $60B+. Or how about the tax breaks to Hollywood that was given in the fiscal cliff bill. There are plenty of areas to cut, Mr. President!

The national debt is the amount of debt that we have already racked up. (presently at $16.4 trillion). The debt ceiling is merely a number, a line drawn in the sand, that says here and no further. Without reducing the spending, the debt ceiling will be reached, as the interest on the debt is constantly growing.
We need to reduce the spending to keep from continually raising the debt ceiling. Unfortunately for us, whenever we do raise the debt ceiling, this administration sees an opportunity to spend more, thereby reaching the debt ceiling even faster every time.
This is the reason Obama wants to have total control to raise it at will, because the time between raising it keeps getting shorter and shorter. It won't be long before we are arguing on a daily basis about the debt ceiling and nothing else will get done in Congress (oh, wait, nothing else ever does get done in Congress. We must be there).
What if all state govenors [all 57 ha ha] summoned our representatives in Congress to immediately come home from Washington to their respective districts and stand by for a series of face to face townhalls with We the People in the next several weeks ahead to discuss the future of this Nation Under God we live in. BO`s confirmation could stand down for a time and I`m confident the powers that be in the Pentagon are quite capable of defending us in the absence of politicians...just a thought???

The reason she resigned as governor was because of the frivolous lawsuits being filed against her and her family by liberals intent on destroying her. Why is there no talk about not paying the Congress and Senate as well as himself if we have no money?????? Read the release. Boehner has already caved on the increase of the debt limit--"consequences to not raising debt ceiling are real".
