Obama to jobless in Nevada: Vote for me because my vision is ‘we’re all in this together’

Unemployment in Nevada is 11.6%, far higher than the national average of 8.2%. Yet when this reporter from Nevada asks Obama how he’s going to win back Nevada voters, especially college students who voted for him in 2008 but after graduating are now jobless or under employed, Obama answers by saying “we’ve made significant progress”. But that’s not all. After acknowledging that Nevada voters certainly see the need for more progress and mentioning his new rural jobs plan that was announced yesterday, he ends with this:

“But we’re making steady progress and ultimately the election is going to be a choice between a vision that says we’re all in this together and we’re making investments in the future on things like student loans or refinancing, and a vision that says everyone’s looking out for themselves…”

That is incredible to me. This is the message this reporter is supposed to take back to the jobless in Nevada looking for hope, that we’re all in this together? What in the freaking world is that supposed to mean to people who can’t find work in this dreadful economy? And this from a president who has been living a very lavish lifestyle for the last four years with all his golf outings and vacations?

If this doesn’t prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that Obama is completely out of touch, I don’t know what does.
