I don't understand why Republicans accept invitations from MSM morons. Don't they understand that they make their money by insulting conservatives? Why do they support them and attend their shows? It is well known that this libs can only survive and increase their ratings when an Elephant shows up because some less intelligent viewers enjoy when a Republican gets slammed. Last but not least Mr. Matthews has a limited intelligence, is extremely vulgar and has no scruple to spread false statemets or distort history. At this point I am not sure if he can stand his own face. The same is true for Jon Stewart, Bill Maher, Rachel Maddow, Ed Schultz, Lawrence O'Donnell, Al Sharpton and others.
Michael Steele has been a disappointment for a while, as he's publically slammed the gop for not having more blacks. Scuse me?!
This isn't surprising for me. He could use some speaking tips and lessons from Alfonzo.
I would have probably brought up Robert Byrd and watched, smiling, while Matthews tried to weedle and squirm his way out of that.
That's why Steele was fired... he was ineffective.

uh, Steel helped herald in the 2010 upset in the congress, he also ensured, by changing the rules, that the primary process would not be over with by March, but could go on longer and give others a chance at the nom. Which even if Romney does become the nominee he bloody well had to earn it and earn it hard! I think Steel had his moments, but he deserves credit..that is for sure.
He's a really sick individual. The more they do this, the more people turn away from them. I was watching the Military Channel this morning about how many Nazi saboteurs were here during WWII, and I think they've infiltrated every inch of our government and media. They are still here, make no mistake about it, and they're working with the Jihadists to destroy the country from within.
They can deny it all they want but the party of the Grand Wizards was always the DEMOCRAT Party. This needs to be repeated over and over and over. And, yes, Steele should have stated that plainly and put Chris Mushmouth in his place!
I don't put much stock in any 'conservative' that decides they need to work for MSNBC. What exactly does that accomplish, anyway? It's like a reformed alcoholic deciding they want to be a bartender. Sure, they can do it, but sooner or later, they will succumb to the ways of that establishment.
It certainly doesn't expand their audience, as the few dozen people watching these shows are mostly family members and die-hard loons, anyway.
In a way, it gives some credibility to that wretched rag of a so-called news agency.

I don't think that Michael Steele's response was personalizing it at all. But he and others do need to be harsher on Chris Matthews. I'd like for once to see my fellow Catholics, like Steele, to confront Matthews' failure to behave like the Catholic he insists he is.
Sorry, but Steele's a coward. Always has been. Always will be. He wants to be embraced by the mainstream elite, and, with that as a driving force, we shouldn't be looking to him for leadership, much less setting the facts straight.
Agree, but why should a Republican or a Conservative even be on any MSNBC show?
MSNBC shows have tiny audiences. They can't even get 1% of the country to watch any of their shows. Matthews is lucky to get 500,000 watching in a country of 300 million +.
I wonder if MSNBC's advertisers realize they are wasting their bucks on this network.
Until MSNBC goes the way of the dodo, I think Republicans should go on their network. We've no reason to be afraid of them, but I strongly agree that they should not go on their network during prime time. Deny them the best guests, that way the institutions are pushed out of the business OR required to put on dumber talking heads than either party can spare.
