Occupy Protest Distracts Police From Saving Murder Victim

The grieving family of 67-year old murder victim Peter Cukor have the Occupy Oakland protesters to thank for distracting the police that would have responded to his call about his assailant this Saturday.

When police decided they were too busy preparing for the Occupy protest, Peter went to confront a stranger on his property who has since been arrested and identified as Daniel Jordan Dewitt. When he asked him what he was doing there, Dewitt bludgeoned the man to death with a flower pot.

Dewitt’s family say he suffered from schizophrenia and had a long history of attempting to get the medical treatment he needed before he committed this heinous act.

LAPD has reported it’s own problems responding to calls from distressed citizens because they were otherwise “occupied” with babysitting the protesters, and this past November, Portland Police Chief Reese was quoted as saying similar:

KGW: “I want to ask you about how much this [Occupy Portland] is distracting the police force from other crimes that are going on in our area?”

Reese: “Well, that’s a great question and I appreciate you asking it because we are reducing our patrol response. Many days like today we’re taking emergency calls only for service. For example, we had a rape victim stand by for three hours until we could get an officer to take a report, and that makes all of us very sad.”

Add this to the long list compiled at Breitbart’s Big Goverment site of the rap sheet of crimes committed by Occupy protesters, including many rapes and deaths.
