With all the talk about Santorum and his ‘Satan’ comments, I’m shocked that he’s back at it again talking about good and evil, characterizing his enemies as the focus of evil in the world…oh wait. That’s not Santorum.

Rush was just playing this on the radio after playing a few of Santorum’s comments from last night reacting to Drudge’s story.

Scoop, you’re not God but you’re still all kinds of awesome. You’ve been doing a great job at exposing all the hypocrisy from the right and the left. Thank you.

    • Sober_Thinking

Well said Shelly. I can’t agree more. Excellent posts and excellent follow up! Great job Scoop!

  • barney59

    I’m shocked! Shocked I say!!

I heard Rush playing these clips, heh. Santorum is, evidently, well in the “mainstream” despite what we constantly hear from every Liberal in America.

  • blueboypink

Why does the mainstream media or liberals get so bent out of shape when someone speaks the truth?

Is it because they know it’s true, but don’t want to face the truth. It’s as old as the story of Stephen or those who hated Christ for speaking the truth.

Here is what my deceased father a minister wrote in my diary in 1953- -which many don’t want to face up to, and why they get so angry when someone like Santorum speaks the truth.

    Christ or Satan
    Right or Wrong
    Heaven or Hell
All these choices you’ll have to make yourself

    Love, Dad

    • Sober_Thinking

Excellent – your father was wise and succinct.

The truth shall set you free… that’s why progressives (who own the lame stream media) are so afraid… If the truth gets out, they lose their power and the dumb masses grab their pitchforks and torches.

  • unclesamnephew

dear cousins, today is Ash Wednesday! by the grace of Christ i am saved

    • Sober_Thinking

Wow… you caught me off guard there! (tearing up)

Thank God you (and I) are saved. God’s love is amazing and sufficient…

      Amen brother!

  • sjmom

I can only imagine what kind of speech Ronald Reagan would give about Barack Obama. He would not hold back but would inspire us to action against the enemy within our own borders.

Listening to Reagan reminds me of when my husband and I were newlyweds and I can say at the time I did not think it was possible that a dictator would arise in America. Maybe that was the problem: we did not see it coming. Thank God there is still time to stop it. The time for earnest prayer is upon us. Amen.

    • Sober_Thinking

Spot on! Prayer is the sharpest sword, the strongest shield, the brightest light, the BEST thing we can do to save our country and a def and blind world.

  • Sober_Thinking

All the great ones address, challenge, and fight evil. There’s nothing wrong with this.

I hope for Santorum to continue to focus on his economic plan, his tax plan, foreign policy, illegal immigration, Iran, small government, etc. and as a result, continue to do well.

  • http://no-apologies-round2.blogspot.com/ AmericanborninCanada

I was just listening to Rush and cheering at my radio when he played the clips of Reagan!

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Steven-Valdez/1806887704 Steven Valdez

if Santorum could just channel Reagan’s witty humorous side, he’d win in a landside, but when again I could be wrong, even his jokes would be smeared and taken out of context.

    • las1

It’s the hatred of the good for being good.

Reagan’s words resonated in his day because Christian or non-Christian understood commonly accepted values and truths. Sadly, today, this is no longer the case. Reagan, Churchill and numerous others could rise from their graves and the Lawrence O’Donnell’s, of this burnt out cinder, would still spew their hatreds and seek to put them back in the ground.

      • 3seven77

Everyone needs to remember this: The closer you get to defeating evil, the harder it will fight.

  • Maxsteele

You could take this Reagan speech and interpose Islamism with Communism and it would be just as valid.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Randall-Pickard/100003011397298 Randall Pickard

    Got me.

  • Sparky5253

Suggesting Santorum is doing as Reagan did is disgusting and a gross distortion!

WOW, talk about trying to spin away Santorum’s game changing religious radicalism!

Reagan is talking about COMMUNISM as being evil. He is talking about an external threat to America and a way of life.

Reagan IS NOT talking about SATAN nor a religious struggle. Santorum is.

Reagan uses the concept of “EVIL” which all Americans can embrace, no matter their religion or political beliefs. This includes atheists and agnostics.

The concept of EVIL only applies to the most egregious of anti-human forces. The concept of SATAN at work is much broader especially as applied by Santorum.

Santorum clearly stated that SATAN is attacking American institutions, which implies that millions of individual Americans ARE DOING SATAN”S WORK!

Santorum is engaging in religious warfare! Reagan engaged in political warfare!

    Reagan deserves an apology!

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Randall-Pickard/100003011397298 Randall Pickard

Not included in the video clip posted here is where Reagan refers to Jesus Christ as his Lord.

Maybe you should apologize. Evil isn’t just a “concept.”

      • Sparky5253

Evil is a concept which has attributes, just like any other concept. It is fluid and varies from culture to culture.

If EVIL isn’t a concept, then there are no concepts!

well what do you call what Obama and the left are doing to this Country, sparky? ignorance, stupidity? he’s selling off parts of Alaska, leaving Israel to possible destruction for the sake of poll numbers, he is trampling our rights and freedoms with his massive takeover of Healthcare with the possibility of Death Panels,he signed into law the NDAA which allows him to indefinitely detain American citizens and i don’t want to even think of what he’ll do in his second term when he doesn’t have to worry about Re-election. If this isn’t evil what is it?

          • celestialjunk

Then call it “evil” if you wish, but leave Satan out of it. Reagan would never bring in Satan … in fact, he wouldn’t even call it evil. He left that for truly vile regimes like the communists who murdered over 100 thousand of their own poeple … I don’t think selling of a bloody island chain is in that league.

    • blueboypink

Evil and Satan are one of the same. And what Santorum said is true! A person would have to have their head buried in the sand not to see where America is headed if individual Americans don’t wake up before it’s too late.

    • Rightstuff1

sparky – you need to calm down fella !!! I imagine you with veins bulging out of your temples as you reach apoplectic levels of anger and frenzied hair pulling.

Reagan called out communism as evil and if you don’t recall he was attacked like crazy from the left for doing so.

Religious radicalism??? Santorum’s religious radicalism?? You sound just like a foaming at the mouth, swivel-eyed leftist lunatic. Don’t spout nonsense like that and expect to be taken seriously as a Conservative. He is a social conservative, he is a loyal catholic – if you equate that with religious radicalism then we move you into the liberal camp and you can rant and rave from there…..

    • jollyjellybean

      Saint Michael the Archangel,
      defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
      May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host -
by the Divine Power of God -
cast into hell, satan and all the evil spirits,
who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls.

      Amen.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1388784674 Joel Cruz

He quotes C.S. Lewis “Screwtape letters. A story about a senior demon named Screwtape writing to his nephew, who is also a demon. I don’t think it’s much a stretch to say that he believeed the Soviet Union were the means by which the Devil worked through in the world.

He didn’t have to Satan or Beelzebub by name. I believe it’s implied.

      • celestialjunk

Implied is far cry from Santorum’s rant about Satan.

  • Sparky5253

Here is the latest Santorum viewpoint. Reagan he is not!

” This whole idea of personal autonomy, well I don’t think most conservatives hold that point of view. Some do. They have this idea that people should be left alone, be able to do whatever they want to do, government should keep our taxes down and keep our regulations low, keep our regulations low, that we shouldn’t get involved in the bedroom, we shouldn’t get involved in cultural issues.

That is not how traditional conservatives view the world. There is no such society that I’m aware of, where we’ve had radical individualism and that it succeeds as a culture.”

It’s not all about the money “sparky”.

  • Rightstuff1

Sparky – evil is a fact…not concept…if you think it morphs from culture to culture you ascribe to zero moral absolutes. If you agree with no moral absolutes they will welcome you with open arms in the errr Demoncrat party…

    cya !!!

Rightstuff … you don’t even know what a “concept” is … do you?

      • Rightstuff1

Wow what a patronising, condescending little troll you are. Your name fits you nicely except I would modify and leave out the word celestial…..there….suffice it to say simply “Junk”. That sums you up nicely.

You ascribe to zero moral absolutes if you believe that they are merely “concepts” to be approved and adopted or discarded depending upon one’s cultural premiss. Tell me do you know what a moral absolute is “….junk” ?

        • celestialjunk

Just pointing out the obvious bud.

  • Been_There_BT

Why doesn’t he just endorse Rick and get it over with? – I’d have more respect for him if he did. After all that’s what he talks about most of the time, like he has Santorum Derangement Syndrome. And I don’t care who he endorses, it won’t change my support for Newt, but maybe it would help Santorum with Rush’s hard core fans. All in or all out, no games and toe dipping don’t count when supporting a candidate.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Steven-Valdez/1806887704 Steven Valdez

Poll: 70% of Americans Agree With Santorum, Believe There Is a Devil

In 2007, the Gallup polling organization asked Americans whether they believe in God, in heaven, in hell, and in the devil. The results: 86 percent of those questioned said they believed in God, 81 percent in heaven, 70 percent in the devil, and 69 percent in hell. Just 21 percent of those questioned said they do not believe in the devil (Eight percent said they weren’t sure.)

    http://campaign2012.washingtonexaminer.com/blogs/beltway-confidential/team-santorum-us-rick-devil-belief/388706

I trust the candidate that’s open and honest about his beliefs, instead of a candidate that is trying to hide from their religion, like Romney, like Obama.

  • ellebb

The scripture interpretations and morality discussions should be left to the clerics, not presidential candidates.

We don’t like it when BO does it, they probably don’t like it when Santorum does it.

I think Rick has missed his calling.

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Steven-Valdez/1806887704 Steven Valdez

he wasn’t talking about it on the campaign trail, they dug it up an old speech to a religious group. Is that too hard to understand?

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000679899592 John Bohler

president with an actual understanding of morals in the White House? Lady i think his running is more of a calling than you think it is.

    • celestialjunk

      I agree ellebb.

    • Sparky5253

So true. This election is not about replacing the Thug-in-Chief with a Pastor-in-Chief!

      • Rightstuff1

I think Sparky and “junk” are the same person…or maybe tweedle dum and tweedle dee. Yeh let’s forget about all that stupid social conservative stuff, its a waste of time.

I have had it with people that think that fiscal conservatives are going to get us out of the hole we are in. We need both fiscal and moral conservatives. When the chips are down purely fiscal conservatives will not be able to withstand the liberal onslaught on their positiosn as they cannot protect marriage, fight abortion, or protect our liberties and our families…

God save us from such conservatives who would conserve nothing except an economy with no regard to the state of the people….

        • Sparky5253

Your paranoia meter is set on overdrive!

          • Rightstuff1

It was a joke sparkeeeeee…..but I’ve noticed that libs tend to have little if any sense of humor.

  • Carson Bumbalough

We used to call him “Megaton Ron” in the Navy back in those days. We were proud to serve under him because he wasn’t afraid and he made us fearless. We need another leader like him! And to think he gave that speach without a telaprompter – how unorthodox!

  • sara holy land

    awesome !

  • Nukeman60

Here’s another speech of that dang religious nut Santorum, talking about marriage being between a man and a woman.

No, wait. That’s not Rick. Obama: ‘Now, for me as a Christian, for me, for me as a Christian, it’s also a sacred union, uhh, you know God’s, uh, in, in the mix, uh.’

Yeah, he really convinced me he was a Christian, with, uh, God, uh, in the mix and all.

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Steven-Valdez/1806887704 Steven Valdez

Obama is a homophobic bigot! I actually agree with Obama, I believe marriage is between a man and woman, i’m not for gay marriage, but I support Civil Unions.

      • Nukeman60

I believe that too, but Obama doesn’t. Not really. He may say things that he thinks people will want to hear, but when he stumbles over his words just to get the word ‘God’ out, you know he just blistered his tongue.

    • sara holy land

He believes that he is above all.
also said ” My Muslim Faith”

      • Nukeman60

Now he didn’t mean that. And we know he didn’t mean it, because the LSM politely corrected him on it. :)

        • sara holy land

please – what do you mean – LSM ?

          • Nukeman60

            Sorry, Lame Stream Media.

Edit: I was being sarcastic about the media covering for Obama all the time.

            • sara holy land

              THANK YOU, GOOD NIGHT

  • xjesterx

Hey, I call dibs on posting this video first. Look deep in the comments from last nights thread on Santorum!! :)

  • Reckoner_3

    Ha Good one!

Press tried to paint Reagan as a nut and they were happy to put him up against Carter. The way “Trump ” used talking points that the left want Santorum.

  • Jay

For a minute there, I thought he was talking about the current regime.
