Unbelievable! This is sooo NOT right!!! I can't find the words to descibe how this makes me feel! Drug testing for all Medicaid/Welfare recipients should be MANDATORY, if you fail, you don't get it!!!
What alarms me the most is that we have emergency medicare for illegals. Illegals should have their own medical funds. If we went to their country we would have to pay our own way or get shipped out immediately. She is just answering his questions there is no way to know if she is going along with a twisted program or just being a drone. Either way I think this country is going broke because of a system that is willing to pay for anyone or anything as long as the right people are guaranteed to be reelected back into power. Now that is a whole other story and one of great concern, but most people are just dumb and don't think beyond what a politician tells them with a smile. The people of this country won't wake up until the cash cow runs dry and they all get kicked off welfare.

The *real* megabucks fraud comes from the operations that obtain patient info through theft or bribery. After that, all you need do is to make the billing codes look plausible and away you go. Medicare/Medicaid pays the claims pretty much automatically and only after the checks have cleared and the thieves are long gone do they sometimes realize they've been had.
Insurance companies are biased toward denying claims, or so the story goes. Even taking that argument at face value, flipping that bias upside down in favor of approving claims is far worse...because the money needed to treat deserving recipients runs out.
why has it taken us over 22 months to get my father in law on medicaid. He is 92, Aa WW II vet, his monthly income is about 1600 dollars, and he was influenced over 5 years ago to sign his house away to 3 grand sons. There is no way that he doesn't qualify and yet . . . . . . we are still producing papers and papers and on and on and on and he is in a nursing home and they have all his money and yet..

Take foe instance: A very good friend of mine was diagnosed with cancer, he went to M.D. Anderson to get help, they turned him away because he had assets. He sold everything, filed for bankruptcy, he lost everything he had worked so hard for over the years plus his dignity. He went back to the hospital, got treatment, and the cancer came back, worse now than it was before. Well since he now has a house and vehicle, once again he was turned down. So what is a person to do ?, live in a cardboard box.

Have to agree. Don't like it, but I only know of about 10-15 freshman in Congress that would give up their "jobs" for the country.
That is there goal, I just dont think it will end in the way they want.

The only thing that will save the Republic now it is a constitutional Convention by the states to completely change the federal government.
That WILL happen, it will either be because the government collapses, or because the states get fed up, right now it will be because of total collapse.....
If a "small government" person gets elected in 2012, AND if the riots do not turn in to a all out civil war since Obama lost, then it may be a states fed up thing, because even the smallest government republican is still a big government person.

Mr. President, I think here's a source of waste, fraud and abuse that can be used to enhance revenue for paying down the debt.
He couldn't possibly say anything about this. It may short some of his dear illegal aliens... You know the other 30% of his votes!
Yeah, if they would go and check these people out they would find so many fraudulent cases that yes it would help with our debt crisis. I am sick of this kind of behavior from the government.
