Oliver North says that he doubts we’ll see this happening much in the future, as a new policy, but the one point he stressed is how he believes this unprecedented action, to have our Marines disarm before Panetta spoke to them the other day, is emblematic of Obama’s policy to keep our troops from winning the war:
This is emblematic of what is happening in this administration. They are disarming the young Americans who are fighting this war, taking away from them the latitude that they need to fight it and win it, because they no longer intend to win.
