Unbelievably great!! It sounds like the most STRATEGIC approach to pro-active conservative change in culture and government heard in a long time. The Col. is using his miliatry strategic action planning in the most effective manner possible for the present moment. Hear it? The March offensive will be advancing on the Capital, focusing live television on legislation and issues there, in community with FOXNews at 400 North Capital and others no doubt. What a man of war!!
Excellent!!! I think this is a much more worthy environment for him. Conservatives need to establish parity for our viewpoint in the realms of public education AND the media.
I love Allen West but I wonder if this is the right move when we need as many Conservative and articulate spokesmen as humanly possible. I value educating the young minds but right now, at this time , we need strong voices of Conservatism in conjunction with the NRA and other Conservative groups to amplify and counter Obama. But, I certainly applaud and support Col. West in whatever he does!
This is good. I have followed Alfonso Rachel and Bill Whittle at PJ. They are a good organization. Should be fun to hear Allen West. I hope he can move to a new district and run again for congress or run for President. But this is a good thing. He can get out his message.
Good for West, although I am hoping in 2016 he will have a new job. Also for the open thread, I had something amazing happen in one my my classes at Ohio State this week. On Monday one of the students went on this America is a greedy evil empire rant, all the usual far left bs, and the professor then called on the guy sitting next to me and sat back and smiled as the other student destroyed every one of her points. Then today that same professor actually said in front of the class, "Marxism is great in theory but every single time it has been tried, it has only led to an oppressive tyrannical state." I think I'll like this class.
Congrats to him. I think he is better suited to this than being in Congress anyway. Great speaker, but I remember some strange votes.
Scoop, did you hear/read about the sad story about poor Ziggy? He's a collie type dog that was shot by a cop in Colorado for no reason! What makes it more sad is that the cops went to the wrong house and the cop shot him 3 times when he was running back to his owner! So sad. :(

Not to malign PJ Media, they are on my favorites list; and, as I am an all hands on deck kind of guy any news on West is welcome. It just seems to me that a great leader, especially in front line battle, is being reassigned a rear desk job. Just seems a misapplication of resources. But alas, with the leaderlessship we have in charge of the GOP today, at least PJ Media had the guts to step up and provide a place for West to stay engaged in this fight.
I think this is the first step for Allen West to get a national platform. I don't think he'll be content to sit there and do nothing else.
Don't forget, we're only halfway through January, he's been out of his job for two weeks only.

Good for PJ and West. He is an articulate and forceful proponent of our freedoms and the reasons for them. I think he will be much more effective with this forum than he was able to be in the House.
I watched this interview on Greta's show last night. Allen West seemed way too tepid in his response to questions about Colin Powell's words. He was way too politician-like in how he answered Greta, in my humble opinion. I thought it was not a great interview. However, I am glad to see he is remaining in the public eye and doing positive things.
Oh... so it's the RIGHT that's intolerant of minorities, huh Gen. Powell?
2 words... Clarence Thomas. Yeah - the left treated him fairly.
Plus, I have never heard Powell defending Clarence Thomas or Allen West. Phony comes to mind.

Allen West is so great. Good for him. He's actually doing something very smart. The next election will be won through the media, as was the last election. With the mainstream media always supporting liberals, Conservatives will have to find and cultivate other forms of media to get their message out. The more people that are exposed to this new media, the better chance conservatives will have of winning the next election. Since there are so many low information voters out there, it won't take much to sway them if you get to them with a simple idea that will make their lives better. Right now they think their lives will get better simply by staying on the government dole. If they understand that their lives will only get better with less government and more economic opportunity, then they will vote conservative. If they don't, then the only thing that will really convince them is when we finally do go broke and the government is unable to keep paying their benefits and entitlements.
If people would stop referring to Colin Powell as a Republican before they introduce him, no one would ever know. He speaks from the left, he thinks from the left, and he deserves no merit as a right-thinking person. His only claim to fame right now is bashing the right.
As for West, I already get PJMedia email updates every day and I look forward to Allen West's input into this great media center. It will keep him in the forefront of events and in the public eye for the days ahead, when we will need this great American to continue to step up as he always has as a leader.
How about West and Sarah Palin hitting the road here pretty soon and lets win back the house. 2016 y'all.
Hypocrisy indeed. CP showed his true colors here. He is not a conservative or he would not have played the victim/race card. That's what liberals do. Liberals are talking out of both sides of their mouth.
West joining PJ is a great step towards solving the problems w congress and other public servants across the country. We are going to have to do it from the outside.

Exactly the way I feel. I was born in Brooklyn NY and raised in Southern California. There isn't enough money to get me to live in either place now.

Yep - that was a pretty gruesome start to the morning. Thankfully, I don't live in London. I'd have to be paid millions of £££ to live there.

Gawd - a fire in the yard would have the fire brigade round in no time!
It's forbidden, and even in the rather open space of a big allotment colony, we weren't 'allowed' to burn our stuff. We did it all anyway, when the wind wasn't blowing it towards the office blocks.
I love the smell of such fires.
It's all these little regulations here and there which snip off liberties. Most of them come from the EU - that's why we want out!

Regarding the fireplace...yikes! We love a roaring fire. Sometimes curl up in front of the fireplace. We can also build a big fire outside in the yard, and do quite often.
Yes, if you have the money to install a special stove with some sort of smoke control liner. No, if it's an open fireplace, nor coal: it's the "Clean Air Act", see. Can't have soot particles in the air.
As for curling up at the foot of my bed: only if I don't mind the disgusted looks coming from a displaced housewolf!
On my bucket list: To hear this brilliant man debate obombo or biden, or powel, or any other numbskull liberal.
I am sorry to disappoint you but, I am a loyal supporter of Col Allen West ...heck I even moved from my district so I can vote for him, but during his last elections he went on a debate against the empty suit of Patrick Murphy, and I dont know if it was the format, or what it was but he did not perform very well against that idiot, but I hope he will refine his debating skills.
He didn't dumb down his message or speech, and none of the dumb-masses (all one word) had a chance of understanding.
It's great news that Col West will have an ongoing platform without having to wait for "invitations" from Greta or Fox.
I hope he will be able to use it to his advantage and that it will reverberate outside of the right blogosphere, and video diaries that we all enjoy.
He is certainly a man that should command attention.
