UPDATED – Open Thread: An Inconvenient Truth – Larry Sinclair Interview On Obama, Cocaine and Lies

***UPDATE***

Saw this over at Moonbattery and I have to say I don’t know what to make of it.

Can this really be true? Not the “Obama did hard drugs in college” part – we already know that’s true. I mean the “gay escapade in ’99” part.

Who is this guy Larry Sinclair? I’ve barely heard of him, and know nothing at all about him.

Someone help me out here. Please.

***UPDATE***

I notice the reaction to this post in the comments is mixed, to say the least. By all means, readers, have at it debating the merits (or lack thereof) of Sinclair’s story – but I am comfortable leaving the post up. Larry Sinclair certainly appears to be quite a shady character. But so what? So are a lot of other people in Barack Obama’s past. And as I said, Obama admitted to having used cocaine in his book “Dreams From My Father”, so I don’t find it terribly far-fetched that he might have still been using it into the late ‘90’s, at least on occasion. Now, the gay affair thing is waaaay out there for sure – but people do lots of wild stuff while high on crack.

For the record, I am not an Obama conspiracy nut, Alex Jones disciple, or a Kos plant (yikes!). In fact, I give Obama the benefit of the doubt on this one, although I’m not really sure why I would do that based on everything else I know about him. Mainly, I just don’t want to believe that Obama did this. But I don’t want to believe he’s intentionally wrecking the economy either – and he sure seems to be doing exactly that.

Let’s put it this way: If Larry Sinclair was claiming, say, that Sarah Palin wasn’t Trig’s real mother, you can bet he’d have a paying gig at the Daily Beast, be a regular on the Chris Matthews Show, and Joy Behar would roll out the red carpet for him.

Instead, Obama’s media minions have virtually memory-holed Sinclair. See how they play the game?
