Alright- I'm way down near the bottom, so I don't know who will see this- but hopefully those who need to will.
I've been noticing for the past few months now again a lot of activity through e mail alerts every time a comment is flagged. While I appreciate folks being diligent because the moderators can't be everywhere at once when someone makes a truly offensive comment, a lot of the complaints seem to be out of disagreeing with what someone says.
I understand a lot of what is annoying about many of the comments, but seriously, we can't go banning people or kicking them out just because we disagree with their opinions.
I ask that new folks would kindly check out the comment policy before posting, http://www.therightscoop.com/the-right-scoop-commenting-rules/
The Right Scoop is the classiest site on the net and we want to keep it that way. We have always had a friendly community here, and again, we aim to keep it that way.
For everyone, new or who have been here a while, please read the Observations from the Sheriff's Stoop. http://www.therightscoop.com/observations-from-the-sheriffs-stoop-a-revisitation/
It's worth a refresher every now and then. Thank you!
No to Rubio,
I listen to Marco R. when he was on Rush and everything he said sounded good, up until he said (paraphrasing) "nothing in the bill would stop future illegal aliens from trying to get into the US". I played it back several times to be sure what I heard him say was correct and it was. With that kind of mentality he lost my vote.
This is a trick question, right? It's a little bit like asking, which would you prefer, an ice pick in your foot, or your hand stuck in burning hot coals? Neither, is going to be your answer.
I don't like these kinds of questions. Because they serve no purpose. Of the myriad of possible Conservative Candidates for 2016, these two would be the last picks most of us would make. So, I can't help asking, what's the point? Scoop, why would you want to do this?
ATM I'm going with Rand Paul. So far, I like what he says.. Wait and see situation...
I had to think a minute on that one. Voted for Rand. I am already tired of seeing Rubio and it's soooo early to feel that way.
But I can be fickle :)
Neither guy is talking Restoration, yet. Rand at least talks Constitution more than Marco.
So if you held some bacon in front of me as enticement, I've gotta go with Rand.
If Marco would just accept the task that must be achieved—the task of championing Constitutionally informed liberty, and Restoration of a Constitutionally-limited government—then I would send him a thousand dollars (yeah, I'd have to sell some furniture, but I would do it).
If Rand spoke more of Restoration, and was not nuts when it comes to Israel, then I'd send him a thousand dollars.
So far, though, the only two people I see talking like Reagan, and caring about the Constitution as either current or former officeholders are Palin and West. West is the stronger speaker. So it's easy:
Vote West.
LOL! My guys aren't on this list but I voted for Rand Paul because it appears he has not been corrupted by the Cantor crowd and he's giving the Tea Party response. Rubio is walking too close to the RINO line so his speech is particularly important.
I'm not going to waste my time watching Obama BS to the American people. I'll be doing something more constructive like shopping on eBay. LOL!
Out of 44 presidents, only three—Warren Harding, John F. Kennedy, and Barack Obama—won their presidential races as incumbent senators.
So Presidents don't really come out of the Senate.
Both of these Senators, Rand Paul and Marco Rubio are only first term Senators with no governing experience or ability.
We need Governors running for President; someone with actual experience running something.
I'd pick Rand Paul over Marco Rubio. But if neither was a choice, I would have selected it.
I picked Rand Paul because he doesn't seem to be co-opted yet by the establishment. He is very much somewhat independent for being in DC for this long.
I used to like Rubio, but he seems to have been tainted by the establishment. To me it seems he's becoming the Establishment's token Hispanic. Also I've noticed lately from his various interviews, he rushes when he speaks. He talks as if he is down to the last 5 seconds to the buzzard and that to me is a red flag especially in an era where 1 wrong thing said could be the noose around your neck.
Nice article from Daily Caller on Dr. Carson. http://dailycaller.com/2013/02/12/thedc-interview-dr-ben-carson-likes-rubio-doesnt-mind-if-prayer-breakfast-speech-in-front-of-obama-was-offensive/2/
TheDC: You mentioned during your speech that there are some intelligent people leading this country. Do you consider President Obama among those?
BC: I think he’s very intelligent, absolutely.
TheDC: Are there any politicians who are currently in office who speak eloquently to the ideals that you have?
I certainly like Marco Rubio. I think he’s a very, very rational individual.
Neither, i'd vote Santorum who has recently said about another run that it was "definitely not a no" and that he was talking with some people about it.
http://gretawire.foxnewsinsider.com/video/former-senator-rick-santorum-on-the-record-3/
I think his shot at the Presidency is over. I hope he runs for congress, or Governor somewhere, or joins Jim DeMint over at Heritage, or heads up a PAC or something.
He's proven constitutionally unable to avoid getting bogged down in the social issues. He refuses to learn how Reagan managed to stay strong on those issues without getting bogged down in them by the media.
Another run by him or Bachmann would just be too painful to watch.
Besides, I'd really rather see him back in the Senate again, if possible.
The only reason he's bogged down in them is because he knows how to answer them excellently, (when he has the chance to answer instead of being called the GOOGLE definition of Santorum) lol.
But there are three years before the primaries start up, and Patriot Voices is growing, in numbers and in impact. So i say don't count him out, remember, a few days before Iowa his poll numbers were in the 2% zone and he was a laughing stock.
He ended up winning the same number of states that Ronald Reagan won in the 76 primary.
Don't count him out my friend :P
Well, if I woke up in November of 2016 to discover he had won the Presidential election, I would be thrilled.
I just don't see any way he can do it. We now have better public speakers in Rubio (who I'm not at all confident of), West, Rand Paul, Tim Scott, Ted Cruz, and others. I would be thrilled to see Santorum on a committee to get one of them elected.
O/T:
Oh this woman. Sheila Jackson Lee, you never fail to amaze me, only YOU can make you "constituents" look bad, without even trying to look good! Gee, fangirl much? (if you are indeed a woman) PACK YOUR BAGS LADY, YOU ARE NOT A TEXAN! You'll fit better in Kenya where your "crush" Obie used to lived.
Nothing else to say but, you are "deplorable....DEPLORABLE......DEPLORABLE!!!!" (if anybody knows where that quote comes from let me know. I loved it when Michael Berry uses her own words against her lol)
New Terrorist threats and roadblocks now set up around Jerusalem: https://twitter.com/intent/user?screen_name=CNNInternatDesk&original_referer=http://www.therightscoop.com/breaking-news/
I see you and a few folks mentioning the tweeter thingy a lot. Is there a particular hashtag y'all are using? I think a #TRScoop or #RightScoop tag would be good to have, to identify Scoop's Troops.
lol. Alter ego. I think DebbyX would work, even though there's a few of those. But once you write a couple of things about yourself, you'll set yourself apart from the others. You're more than welcome sister. I'd love to see you over there too, and there are a few scoopers who are there.
:-) And you're not a bird brain! It took me a while to navigate it too. You'll get the hang of it!
Wow, thanks for trying to teach tweeting to a bird brain like me. I really appreciate the helpful hints and will try them all out. Do you think it's a good idea to use your real name, like I do here? Like you said, there must be a thousand Debbys on there. Maybe I'll find my alter ego.
That'll be scary ;)
lol. Yeah- it's not eggsactly an original avatar lol.
OK here's a quick lesson- hopefully I can teach you through it.
When you're on, go to the tab up in the right corner at the top- the little gear wheel. Click on that and go to settings.
Once you're on your settings look on the left side of the page and go to Profile. Click on that and it will give you an option to change your photo. Click on choose an existing photo. If you want to use the same one you have here on Scoop, you should have that one in your computer files? Or choose one in your photo file and upload it.
You can also put a different, or the same photo on your header, which appears on your profile page. Do that the same way.
When you've got the photos you want, go to the left column again and click on design, which will bring up different things for your background. Pick whatever one you want.
Once you're done there, go to the left, and if you want e mail notifications when someone mentions you in a tweet, retweets or favorites a tweet, you can set it up to get notifications or switch them off. I get a lot on mondays- because I have a lot of Military folks I send out tweets to for #MilitaryMondays, but most the rest of the time, I don't get a whole lot so I leave mine on to get notifications.
So that's about it Miss Debby. I would love to see you on there too :-) If you do find your way around it, look for me :-) Hope this helps!!
PS- if you want to change your twitter name, you can do that too- go back to settings, go to the left and click on account (at the top) and you can put in a different username :-)
Jeesh I loath that egg! I actually think when I signed up, I didn't even register under Debby 'cause basically, I had no idea what I was doing ;)
LOL. I haven't mastered it either ;-) I did look for you though- do you have any Idea how many Debby's with egg avatars there are lol?!
I find the constraints intimidating. You really need to be pithy. Something I haven't mastered.
How many letters is that :)
Heh. I'll have to log on to look it up. I think it's @K_Bob. But I don't remember. (CRS creeping higher)
I'm still reasonably new on it too Debby. If you're interested, I'll help you. First off, you can either go to my twitter page ^^ and follow me, or I'll look you up.
The home page set up isn't too hard. I got through it. Only problem I have is we have a letter limit and you know how I love to talk lol!
I need a short class on Tweeting 101. Sure, it's simple, but I don't get it. My avatar is that stupid egg! HELP!!
Or how about just gimme your tweet name and I'll look you up and send you a message?
Let's add a short one for Scoop followers. Pick one of these or make up a better one:
#TRS
#RightScoop
#Scoop
#TRScoop
#RScoop
The shorter, the better, but too short and it's ambiguous. If all of the TheRightScoop folks use that tag, then we can search for it.
(So in my case, when I log into the tweeter for my quarterly, fifteen minute visit, I can find alla you'se folks! What can I say, I'm not an early adopter anymore.)
@ABiCduckie for me :-D I'm still learning the hashtag thing K-Bob, the only ones I use are #Benghazi and #militarymonday ;-)
This is funny! Maybe ironic! Obama's good at something- A gun salesman!
65,376,373 guns have been Bought Since Obama Took Office in 2009.
By comparison, the number of gun purchases in Obama's first term is 91.1% higher than President George W. Bush's first-term total of 34,214,066 background checks.
I pressed the button for Rand Paul - it's the only way I get to vote for an US President, teeheehee - but with great reluctance.
Still, Rubio is the obvious choice of the GOPe - so thus out of the running, as far as I'm concerned.
Peter Pan for president? A boy who never grows up?
We have him already don't we, by the name of Barry Soetoro! (or however you spell his stupid fake name)
O/T this is a few days old but worth a read. If this stuff happens, we won't be thinking about elections much by 2016 http://canadafreepress.com/index.php/mobile/mobile-article/52923
ABiC- have you done any checking on this link. While scary at first blush, it so smacks of something from Infowars. Wish I had some more info to research.
I'll try oregonproud. CanadaFreePress is a good site though, and have posted stories on the insiders before. But I'll check and if I find anything, I'll let you know.
At a minimum, we need another 2010...on steroids.
How surreal is all of that DHS stuff? Lots and lots of people refuse to believe those kinds of things can happen, simply because it has never happened here. They can't even imagine it. Never thought I'd have to try either. We've been blessed. Not so sure God wants to bless this mess anymore. I trust he will though, for the sake of his people. If we disappear and meet him in the air, that'll be fine too.
I think what you linked to absolutely could happen. I also think we have some major corrupt players in place, and so, if it ever were to happen, the fruit is ripe for the pickins. Hopefully, a lot of this planning is the left being overly paranoid about the right and vice versa.
When the drummer clicks his sticks together and the band starts playing though, Mama Cass is gonna open up her piehole, and the big cities are going to look like something out of a sci-fi movie.
You've got a way with words myBear and said it better than I ever could.
I never in my life would have believed such things could happen from our governments, and I hate the thought of tin foil, but this stuff absolutely makes sense to folks who have been paying attention.
I still wonder what God is planning with this nation- all I can do is pray and watch, then follow Him. I hope too though that this is paranoia, but somehow I don't think it is.
Lovely subject to think about now that I'm off to fill a few kids' skulls with the Founding Fathers. sigh. see you later mybear. ((()))s
