As long as there are 300 million guns in the hands of citizens, the government cannot try anything. Security and peace through strength. Therefore, being armed and trained equals being a good citizen.

This man is very intelligent and we can see that he is much smarter than those who voted for Obama. Everything he says is true and I am proud that he said he is a "legal US citizen."

Sometimes it takes a person with a little different perspective to show what we take for granted and may have forgotton.

He certainly did his homework and he dropped it in that deep authoritative Asian voice, heck yeah! Seriously though, I love to see these immigrants that value our constitutional freedoms so deeply and are already defending them. That's a true American.

The left loves to make the point that the arms we(private citizens) have could not stand up to nuclear weapons, tanks, etc. If US Government ever turns tanks and nuclear weapons on their citizens the rest of the world will become very uneasy. I still have the picture in my mind of the lone Chinese man facing the Chinese government tank. The world was not favorably impressed and unleashed a lot of heat on the Chinese government. Citizens being armed remind the government that if they get too grabby with our freedom it won't be bloodless and that is important.

UPDATE on Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman case:

A year after the event - George Zimmerman's attorney reports he just received the cell phone records and only 14 minutes of a 26 minute conversation was given to him.

Other evidence has turned out to be false: Trayvon's girlfriend was 18, not 16 and the attorney has still not been given her name. The age of the girlfriend makes a big difference in the legal aspects of the case.

Yet, ABC News says it has gotten access to the whole phone call. So why haven't they turned it over to the police or do the police have it? If so, why haven't the police turned it over to the defense attorney?

This case is a farce and a disgrace. The Martin attorneys have been guilty of giving false information/lying, obstructing justice, and perverting justice for political and racist purposes. The state and local police have been bullied and possibly influenced by people with nefarious, exploitative, racist and political motives.

The prosecutors have the evidence but have not turned it over to the defense, the court has not permitted the defense to access the girlfriend's cell phone records either because she was previously reported as a minor.

This whole case stinks, glad Zimmerman is suing over the edited tape.

Haven't heard much about this story in the 'lame stream news' ?

Media Nearly Silent As Armed Guard Foils School Shooting

"On Thursday afternoon, a student opened fire at his Atlanta middle school. A 14-year-old was wounded in the neck before an armed officer working at the school was able to get control of the weapon. Get the details the MSM missed HERE."

Great minds, posted a different link to same on yesterday's OT. MSM --> crickets

But did you notice, the Sandy Hook Elementary schools will now have armed guards after a parent testified GUN CONTROL will solve it all

Since this is an open thread: check out the biometric, big brother approach that this gang of 8 wants to try to ram through with this immigration bill.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/01/31/immigration-reform-biometric-id_n_2594285.html?utm_hp_ref=tw

I don't normally like to link to this site above, but it's the only place I've found reporting this story. I truly despise the Republican party and I honestly do not think we would be living in any different a world if McCain had won in 2008. This current crop of (R)'s has complete disdain for us as citizens.

"We want to make sure that employers do not hire people who are here illegally," said Schumer, who has called for biometric employment cards in the past. "The only way to do that is to have a non-forgeable card. Because right now you can go down the street here and get a Social Security card or a driver's license for $100 that's forged."

Interesting that Schumer likes this for illegal alien immigration but not for Voter ID?

Attention Low Information Voter Parents: IRS says YOU must pay the "shared responsibility payment" if your child or dependent spouse CAN BE (not is) claimed on your income tax return AND is uninsured during ANY month of the year http://cnsnews.com/news/article/irs-parents-must-pay-federal-fine-uninsured-kids

'A free people can only afford to make this mistake once.'

So true. We won't be given a second chance. They can't argue against the doomsday argument of the 2nd amendment. Who can say doomsday will never happen? The 2nd amendment is indeed there for when all other amendments have failed.

Why do we need it? Because "We the People" say so.

From teaparty.org

This refers to an article about Obama's Civilian Army. Very disturbing read.

2013: The Obama Uprising Is On Schedule

(Joe Gilbert) – On 21 January, Dr. Jim Garrow posted a shocking statement on Facebook. “I have just been informed by a former senior military leader that Obama is using a new ‘litmus test’ in determining who will stay and who must go in his military leaders. Get ready to explode folks,” he wrote.

“The new litmus test of leadership in the military is if they will fire on US citizens or not,”

What an amazing man. He speaks pretty well for a person whose first language is not English, don't you think?

Mr. Ong is living proof of what a legal immigrant to this country can be if they have the desire, which is why asian immigrants almost always succeed.

This man makes me proud to be an American.

You are so correct White. When the Hmong were brought here, it was interesting to watch how they learned our language, educated and disciplined their children, married before they had children, went to college, started businesses. Few landed on the welfare roles.

Edit: Oh forgot to mention how they also care for their aging parents, oftentimes live in same household so grandparents provide the family's childcare while parents go to college and work?

Note:

The Hmong tribe were fierce fighters along side our GI's in Viet Nam. The Communists slaughtered many of the tribe, when we bailed out on them. :-(

Taking care of aging parents and allowing them to still contribute, by helping raise their grandchildren. What an amazing concept.

Newtown votes for armed guards in elementary schools while some parents want us disarmed.

Logical request from the school. LameStream media will steer clear of that story.

It always amazes me that the left will use Gabby Giffords, certain Newtown parents, and others who have lost loved ones in order to push their anti-gun agenda. Although my heart goes out to these people at their losses, and I can understand their anger and outrage at what took away their families, I do not think an emotional and highly personal approach is the right way to logically and efficiently determine what actions need to be taken to solve the problem realistically.

Too bad the LameStream doesn't report your story. It shows what Newtown really wants - a removal of gun-free zones and a condition whereby their children can reasonably and effectively be protected.

Is it better to have a government and not need it,

TX Rep Steve Stockman invites Barky Boy to TX to teach him how to create jobs!

You know Orange, I've thought about this from time to time. I've been [ hired ] and with my own business to run, have [ hired ] people.

Why does the politicians use the word [ create ] when it comes to private sector employment? We know Washington [ creates ] jobs. That's part of their problem. Too many people doing want one or two could do.

white531
white531

I believe the word, "create," is only one of many phrases used by the government to persuade the populace that they are helpless with the Federal Goverment.

Orangeone

And press releases like Rep Stockman's are written by marketing folks that use buzz words and phrases so they appear in Google searches.

I totally understand and agree. It's a great article focusing on how the gov't policies in TX have lead to increased employment and a budget surplus.

Thank you for being an entrepreneur! (me too :))

I wish MN was in this good of shape, instead Barky is coming here Monday to go after our guns, we have a $1 billion deficit, the Dems are going to raise taxes, fees and expand sales tax. Yeah, like that will keep the businesses already fleeing to other states here.

What a great American! He immigrated here and learned the language and our history, and the language of his native land has about nothing in common with English.

What a slap in the face it would be to him and other legal immigrants, if millions of illegal immigrants squatting here were automatically made citizens.
