O’Reilly Factor: Sarah Palin’s first night on Fox News

At first I wasn’t that impressed. I think it’s because there was a lot of buildup and my expectations were perhaps a bit unreal. I enjoyed it more the second time I watched it. Still, I would like to see less ‘politic-speak’ from her, but that expectation may be a bit unreal too. I mean, she has to  know that she will be relentlessly attacked by the media; that she’ll be the number one story tomorrow as her critics weigh in as if she is the second coming of Christ. So for that reason alone, I can’t blame her for not dropping her guard.

If the RNC were smart, and they're not, they'd fire Michael Steele and put Palin in the position. She's a star in the conservative camp which republicans need if they want to win anything in 2010 and she can raise money better than anyone except Limbaugh. If they're not careful, the republican party will lose all conservatives to a Tea Party ticket and democrats will win because the right wing vote will be split 30/20. Personally, I think conservatives should start another party anyway, the republican party is nothing but democrat-lite anyway–they just take a little longer to do the same things that the socialists want to do. Don't know if Palin has enough star power and knowledge yet (she's plenty smart enough) to win as a 3rd party candidate, but I'd vote for her in '12 based on the rest of the field out there, currently.

I see she is trying to take the high road and basically talk right over the heads of the small-time democrats that say things about her because she is right they don't matter, and not one outside of their own circle-jerk actually watch them.

But I wonder if a little smack-down might be appropriate sometimes.
