Paul Ryan grilled about new Pledge

This interview with Paul Ryan on ABC was frustrating to me for a couple of reasons. First, if Stephanopolous (and others) had gone after Democrats over their supposed ‘deficit neutral’ health care plan like he went after Ryan on paying for the tax cuts, then perhaps it wouldn’t have passed. Secondly, this pledge isn’t about specific proposals, but more about overarching governing principals that will lead the country in a more prosperous direction. But instead Stephanopolous wanted to know exactly what legislation will be proposed and grills Ryan on that several times. Ryan was a good sport though, and tried to give him what he wanted. But here again, when does Stephy ever try and put Democrats in a corner by asking them, say, “what’s in the bill Nancy?”, or “why the need for 2500 pages Nancy?”, or “why didn’t you read the bill Nancy?” and well you get my drift.

Anyway, Ryan does well and I thought it worth your viewing on an incredibly slow news day.
