I must say the beginning of this interview really annoyed me. David Gregory starts by saying that Santorum is trying to demonize Obama with this ‘phony theology’ comments and then tries to make Paul Ryan defend these comments even though Gregory took them far out of context. It’s much more egregious in my opinion than Santorum’s Face The Nation interview and it had me yelling at Gregory. He’s such a hack.

The other annoying thing about this interview is that it also has liberal hack Chris Van Hollen side by side with Paul Ryan. It runs 22 minutes and Ryan says some great stuff in response to the Santorum ‘out of context’ remarks as well as in regard to Obama’s budget taking us to a debt crisis which makes it worth listening to. Just mute it when Van Hollen speaks.

I didn’t know about the side by side thing. Ugh.

Hollen is speaking in this thing? excuse me while i go to the bathroom to puke my guts out.

    • stevenbiot

I have a hard time not taking this personal. I really want to meet these guys in the streets when things get hairy.

Obama is a phony, what’s the problem?

  • Major914

Even with the all-important mute button on, just the sight of Nancy Pelosi, with her permanently wide-open eyes, rolling her head around and flapping her lips is enough to make a guy puke.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Steven-Valdez/1806887704 Steven Valdez

Paul Ryan gave a great answer on why voting against the payroll tax cut.

  • NasTy MoDee

    what is side by side?

  • Nukeman60

Watching this entire 22 minutes, I had this vivid picture in the back of my mind of Ryan reaching through Gregory and choking the living daylights out of that smirking, blabbering Van Hollen while he spoke. To my dismay, it didn’t happen. Perhaps they’ll do it on SNL. No, wait. SNL is on their side, aren’t they. Oh, well.

Ryan had a lot of good thoughts, though. Best line: Obama’s administration believes we have ‘revocable privileges from our government and not inalienable rights by our creator’.

Van Hollen’s best line: ‘I, uh, mm, uh…’

David Gregory is an idiot – Why are you surprised?

I have always said that the LSM is on the payroll – Here is MORE proof
there is a “cozy relationship” with Obama – 19 reporters just joined Obama

    http://campaign2012.washingtonexaminer.com/blogs/beltway-confidential/record-19-reporters-media-execs-join-team-obama/380971

I am not surprised – Are You??

  • rjcylon

I get so tired of the liberal idea that tax cuts have to be “paid for”. It wasn’t your damn money to begin with!

    • stevenbiot

Only in this day and age can you give individuals permission to keep more of their money.

    • Nukeman60

They believe that tax cuts have to be paid for because they have the money spent before they even get it.

    • BMinPA

Yes it is. If it was your money you would have seen it first.

  • freenca

“sugar-high economics” about hits the nail on the head. I wish Ryan lived in my state, so I could vote for him. Ryan remains on subject and consistent in his vision, while the host and Van Hollen are all over the place, not even knowing how Van Hollen himself even voted.

    • alex1913

Ryan lives in my state. Unfortunately in a different district than mine so I can’t vote for him, but I do send his campaign 20 bucks now and then. My representitive is socialist…. er… I mean democrat Ron Kind. I can’t stand the friggin’ loser.

  • StNikao

Ryan is IMPRESSIVE – He knocks it out of the ball park, taking the argument to Obama VIOLATING OUR CONSITUTIONAL RIGHTS.

  • ryanomaniac

I watched this interview live. Paul Ryan was excellent as always. David Gregory was way obvious with the bias. The Nancy’s Pelosi clip made me want to run into a wall. That woman has a lot of nerve. Disgusting.

  • warpmine

“We’re lose the gains we’ve made? Van Hollen.

What gains? Smaller workforce participation, High inflation, consisting of high fuel costs, food staples, communications prices…..

I don’t advocate for trying these traitors but… oh who am I kidding.

Sure Dick, there’s 29 minutes I’ll never see again.

  • StNikao

The Democrats just don’t get it.

You can’t spend money to fix debt.

Stimulus plans are like giving vitamins for an infected appendix.

    Surgery is needed quick.

I so wish we could get this president out before November.

    • Nukeman60

Even if we gain more in the House, get majority in the Senate and take the White House, what bothers me is the lame duck period between November and January. I wish we could pass laws that prohibit outgoing legislators from enacting anything in that time frame.

If I was fired from my job in November, I know darn well that my boss wouldn’t let me stay and work until January, screwing up everything I could while I was there.

      • Alborn

They do not have the numbers to use the lame duck this time. The only way for that to happen is for the Rs to let it. But things will get worse. At the end of Carter’s presidency interest rates were at 21%. Imagine what that would be like for middle Americans with what things cost today. We are in for a long haul so we need to prepare. But to get things started in the right direction so if our economy and to dollar can be saved we need the congress and the presidency in R hands with a super majority in the two houses. Vote R 2012.

  • stevenbiot

At least being in the medical field, I won’t lose my job, because there are going to be massive heart attacks, mental disabilities, strokes, and high blood pressure problems when the government crumbles, and the citizens are left holding the debt. So, unfortunately, due to government mismanagement, my family will be alright. When the Feds get this much power, this is exactly what happens. Sorry folks! We’re fuc@#d.

    • Nukeman60

You might be too if Obama decides that everything has to be given away for free. The medical field is far from safe.

      • stevenbiot

Well, hopefully I will be a class above the soup kitchens. I can’t believe the stimulus is still being defended. Before its inception, unemployment was 8.1%; after, unemployment was 8.4%. I am a person that relies on proof to get me through the day, and that is proof that the stimulus was bunk nonsense.

        • Nukeman60

In reality, the actual unemployment is between 15 and 16% (U6).

          http://www.portalseven.com/employment/unemployment_rate_u6.jsp

Obama has, and will continue to, manipulate the numbers to make the unemployment numbers lower than 7.5% by election time. All he has to do is get more people out of the work force base. If we all quit looking for work, unemployment is 0.0%.

  • librtifirst

I’m hoping that Ryan will come out with Rand and hit the coming currency issue together. We need as many as can to make that the issue. The debt is a problem, but…………..

  • FreeManWalking

When I hear these Lame Braindead Main Stream Media personalities making their accusations against a GOP candidate or office holder, Rush’s parody of the Larry King show with James Carville accusing Ken Starr of being an alien comes to mind.

Gregory sounded just like Carville in his accusations.

Carville: “He’s a space alien, Larry. He just got here from Mars. He’s a sex crazed space alien, Larry.”

Larry: “Ken Starr, are you an alien?”

    Ken: “Seriously, Larry.”

Carville: “He’s a space alien, Larry. Look at him. He’s got those big eyes. He’s got that big head. He looks just like a space alien, Larry. And he comes here with cigarettes and those flick your bic zippo lighters. He wants your kids smoking. He wants your babies dead, and he wants the lovely president, Bill Clinton, kicked out of office.”

Larry: “Why would you want Bill Clinton kicked out of office?”

Ken: “Larry, seriously, I’m just investigating –”

Carville: “He’s a space alien, Larry. He’s a space alien from Mars. He wants to come here and get your kids smoking cigarettes.”

Let’s face it LIAR Obama and the Presstitutes are controlling the agenda and the GOP is walking in the stink! As of today, LIAR Obama wins in November by a landslide. I am embarrassed for the GOP, what next a conversation about hair jell?

    • hbnolikeee

Of what ill planet are you resident? Du Bumbler can only win by cheating and lying. That was and is the only way. I think most people would vote for a steaming pile at this point…

I live in Maryland. BTW, I will vote for a box of rocks in November.

The funny thing was when Hack #2 touted the Democrats position on the payroll tax situation as trying to put more money in the pockets of Americans and taking money away from Washington D.C. I honestly laughed because the basis of liberal economic theory is higher taxes with the government, and not individual people, allocating resources where they will be used most effectively. If he wants to lower taxes and put more money back in our hands by taking it from D.C., I’m sure he could find a Republican or two or 2,000 that would work with him on that. Where do we sign?

It’s clear liberals aren’t concerned about this country, they are only concerned about reelection and their popularity.

They don’t look deep into our problems because they know there is short-term pain in getting the economy back on the right track, but once we clean house and lower taxes, employers will he hiring in droves and jobs will be moving back to the U.S. Their painfully short-term focus was proven when Obama’s lap dog Timothy Geithner justified Obama’s budget by saying it will cut spending for 10 years and after that, we’re back to record deficits. I sure hope America is still here 10 years from now! We need to think in longer context than that. He then went on to laugh at Paul Ryan when he presented a graph going out to 2080 that showed the mind boggling deficit situation if we continue down Obama’s path. 2080, he can’t even envision that? I’m talking about 3080 or until the end of time, that’s how long America needs to be great for. I’m 25 and the fact that this administration isn’t taking into consideration the quality of my entire life, or the lives of the next generations, is unconscionable and appalling.

Rick Perry/Paul Ryan/Scott Walker/Bobby Jindal in any order in 2012, 2016, 2020 or as long as it takes for this country to wake up and be great again!

  • destroyer_of_moonbats

david gregory is a bottom feeder.

  • rapidcraft

Davey Greg and chrissy: two lying marxists, nuff said! WTF up America!!!!!!!!!!!

  • theDUHgeneration

David Gregory’s lips smell like Obama’s ass. But that’s pretty common of all members of the NBC newsroom.

Seriously though, is it such a hard concept for the Democrats to accept that 1. the entitlement programs HAVE TO BE REFORMED 2. reform does not equal cut in quality or ability to meet needs 3. Federal spending wastes BILLIONS upon BILLIONS of dollars every year?

Oh, and 4. EVERY WOMAN IN THIS COUNTRY HAS ACCESS TO CONTRACEPTIVES AND PRENATAL HEALTHCARE!!! It’s not an issue!!!

    • KenInMontana

We could all do with out that mental image, okay?

  • http://twitter.com/Kevlar_Vest John

David Gregory is scum. There should be a law that all news folks must have their political affiliation listed on the bottom of the screen like they do to politicians. It would be refreshing to see all the Obama sycophants on network TV have the words “registered Democrat” listed under their names. It would put a lot of their views and lines of questioning in a different light. How much longer are they going to pretend that the media isn’t liberally biased?

  • 12grace

Paul Ryan is an American patriot. David Gregory and Van Hollen are soros employees, period.

  • mike morrison

Most important point that was made: the President has a “balanced approach” that NEVER balances the budget. And of course, what liberal idea is complete without taxing us more???????????????????

I’ve never paid more taxes in my life and I’m not getting ONE thing personally from them except for roads that are already paid for and a shrinking, but still awesome, military.

  • GEDouglas

The cable news shows pair Van Hollen with Ryan because he is Ryan’s opposite on the House Budget Committee. He is the senior member and Ryan is Chairman. And, if you watch any of the hearings on c-span (I know, I need to get a life) Van Hollen does the same thing…rattles off useless political talking points and specifically avoids the subject that is the purpose of the hearing…THE BUDGET CRISES. Democrats use congressional and senate hearings as political platforms rather than a tool of inquiry towards discovery of the truth. It’s been especially true in the budget and Fast and Furious hearings. Van Hollen is a consummate politician with no integrity whatsoever.

  • StNikao

Well, the Media Mouth David Gregory certainly showed his (and his leftist bosses’) true colors and goals on this one.

For them, sex is the biggest issue of all. They believe in the false concept that people have ‘sexual rights’ and that ‘sexual gratification’ is our greatest need after food and money.

Sex has become an addiction and an obsession for many people, even some professing Christian evangelicals and catholics alike (30% of clergy use internet porn sites, some have been caught with child porn)…and sexual abstinence seems to them, a fate worse than death.

That’s why Foster Freiss’s aspirin joke was so horrible to their ears and they nearly go into melt-down when Santorum talks about normal family life. That’s why the contraception issue takes top billing.

The decadent and depravity of our population is a product of marxist and media collaboration. Hollywood will not make clean faith-based movies even though they make the most money. Why? Because Hollywood is full of marxist-leftists who want to push the US into moral, economic and political ruin and socialism.

They Alinsky anyone who stands for goodness and godliness with all sorts of vulgar, lewd, malicious names because they cannot bear purity, innocence and real love.

For them, AIDS and all the other STDs, depression, suicide, mental anguish are not the normal consequence of high risk acts, but are somehow the fault of the people who are not participating in their lifestyle. Blame is the name of the game.

If we say ‘don’t’ – they hear/think/feel and translate that as ‘hate’ and respond with rage… just like a 2-17 year old child or an adult stuck in a child ego state.

What we have going on in the US is the culmination of a long-planned Economic Jihad.

If Newt can lay out a sane recovery plan so easily, why don’t these people see it?

What kind of intelligence does it take?

THE economic and social CONDITIONs OF OUR NATION – are the result of a political/spiritual marxist/Islamist campaign that has been going on since Obama was a baby. He is their candidate.

Why didn’t our FBI, CIA, etc. prevent him from even running for Senator?

    Can you say, infiltration? http://www.pjtv.com/v/2930

Can you say, treachery, treason, selling US secrets?

Can you say, US government officials involved in corruption, big banking, scams (global warming) currency manipulation, drug/arms/vice marketing? BIG corruption in high places?

The Soros/MSM only gives conservative candidates air time in order to get fuel for their vilification and crucifixion purposes.

They should be known as the Ramrods, Railroaders or The SS (Slam and Slander).

    Disregard them.

Ryan did an awesome job and Gregory ran right over him almost like O’Reilly.

Talk about a pre-planned agenda. Free Man Walking below is right on.

    • Trust1TG

Did any of you notice when they were talking with Ryan, Santorum or Gingrich, there was a headline flashing below advertising ‘Women angered and rising up over contraception?’ Sure… it’s all a farce.

No one is trying to take away women’s birth control but there is no right to expect or demand free contraception.

  • johnos2112

Social issues are from your base sir. Ryan is simply pointing out that this is direct violation of the 1rst amendment. The people of this country want and need change. You people on the left distort everything that people on the right say! Enjoy your permanent vacation come 2012!

  • johnos2112

Mr. Van Hollen when you come on a panel and you distort the truth you need to just stay home. You are and embarrassment to the your party!

  • drphibes

Lies, Damned Lies, and Meet The Press.

  • JungleCogs

I love how Paul Ryan never gets rattled even when is is up against two complete idiots like Gregory and Van Hollen. You could add Gregory’s and Van Hollen’s IQ’s together and multiply that by two and they would still be far below Ryan’s brainpower.
