Pelosi said yesterday that the Catholic Archdioceses aren’t speaking for the Catholic Church in their ‘freedom of religion’ lawsuit against the federal government. Really? All 43 of them? I tend to think the Catholic Church is speaking not only for all of America, but for the Constitution itself, given that freedom of religion is central to our freedoms in America.
Of course, then Pelosi was asked if she supported the specific doctrine on birth control in the Catholic church, and she quickly interrupted and slapped down the interviewer saying she isn’t going to ‘do’ her religion at that press conference:
