Via the Daily Caller, this is Nancy Pelosi yesterday on Capital Hill answering a question regarding the 50% or so of American taxpayers who don’t owe federal income taxes.
After pointing out that no worker escapes the payroll tax (a fun reminder), Pelosi said she wished those 50% would earn more because it would mean they’d start actually paying income tax.
Then they’d be true patriots, I guess.
