Pelosi: If you can’t beat the tea parties, join ‘em

Via Newsbusters:

And it’s precisely that A+ for effort that she gives herself that has sunk congressional approval and given the tea parties their energy. For her to think that she has things in common with the tea parties reflects her desperation to try and save some democratic seats and perhaps stave off potentially becoming the minority in the House or Senate. I mean, did you hear the examples she used? When was the last time you went to a tea party and saw signs or heard chants in protest of the recent Supreme Court decision rolling back parts of McCain-Feingold?

Pelosi thinks he can have her cake and eat it too, but she’s in for a rude awakening. Remember how Obama said he would be about jobs this year? It’s still been all health care all the time as they just can’t give up their one opportunity to ram this socialist program down our throats. And so it will be, since they won’t listen to the American people, we must ram our views down the throat of congress in November 2010.

We will be heard, and they will be silent.

This is one of the faces of evil. HOW DARE she try to compare herself to ME. If she shares so much in common with us…then LISTEN to us and stop TRYING to claim that you know anything about us.

The Republican party has NOTHING to do with MY views. I just happen to be someone who loves my country and wants government to stop interfering and handing out benefits and entitlements to everyone and their dog.

I have some bad news for you guys from over here in England where we have a “3 main parties” system of politics.

When half of the country (roughly) who votes conservative go to the ballot box, they will split the vote between the GOP and the Tea Party candidate.

The winner? Democrats. It happens all the time here with 3 parties, so much so they end up forming alliances in order that one party can be dominant.

  • http://www.therightscoop.com/ therightscoop

yeah that's exactly what we don't want. I'm writing a new post on that very thing right now.

  • Tyler

If we can't get the Rs to clean up their act…then it doesn't really matter if their party's dominant or not. That's why I believe we should keep their feet to the fire with the 3rd party possibility.

I completely disagree, at least in the current political climate. I just wrote a new article on the issue. Check it out and let me know what you think.

In England right now, The Conservative party is likely to win the election, but because we have three parties, they cannot form a dominant majority and push through legislation without help.

The Conservative party are so worried about this they have been trying to form an alliance.. get this.. seriously.. with the Liberal Democrat party.

You can't make this shit up. Tea Parties + GOP = Democrats win 2012, 2014, 2016….

  • RedDogReport

When the Republicans win back the House in November, Nancy will lose her leadership position. Then she will be able to spend as much time as she wants campaigning for Tea Party candidates.

  • SgPoyzer

Will someone order a psychiatric evaluation for this woman, she is truly delusional.

  • SgPoyzer

I can no longer accept that I and other conservative Americans must continue to be forced to vote for the lesser of the evils. The only solution is third party or independent candidates. The various Constitutional, Conservative, Libertarian third parties can effectively win an election if they band together.

One day she calls the tea party people nazis, the next she says she shares some of their ideas. cool politicians you have there :)

  • http://www.therightscoop.com/ therightscoop

SgPoyzer, we have to vote conservative in the GOP primaries. But if for some reason a Big Govt spender like Lindsay Graham gets through, they are still night and day better than socialist democrats. Right now we are at a moment in time where we face loosing the nation to these socialists. If you think that a third party candidate will win in this 2 party country, you are sadly mistaken. We must get our candidates into the GOP primaries and vote them to victory.

It's really that simple. Rush is right though. If you go third party, then the dems win and the country loses.

So Instead of cleaning up one of the parties the solution is go to another party where the same thing will happen but the power that party has to influence agendas will be even less. Isn't that sort of like not cleaning up a house and moving every time to a new clean place instead of dealing with the built up nasty crap?

I also think The Prada Princess is quite mad if she believes she can influence anyone not already drinking her special Kool Aid

  • http://www.therightscoop.com/ therightscoop

That sounded grosser than you probably meant it.

  • Tyler

I think he means Cowboy Koolaid spiked with GHB, Scoop. That way she can get the country DRUNK and RAPE IT. HAHA!!

  • Tyler

I don't think you understand what I just said, Scoop. I said keep their feet on the fire. EVERY candidate AND their dog at THIS point will say WHATEVER THEY HAVE TO in order to stay in the game or get in.

The KEY here is to get some HONESTY from somewhere. That's the MAIN thing I believe really matters here. Parties DON'T matter as much as HONESTY.

  • http://www.therightscoop.com/ therightscoop

right, but if a third party is a 'bluff', then people will see right through it. If you are truly serious about third parties, then right now is not the time to do it. I get what you are saying about holding their feet to the fire, but third parties would hurt much more than they'd help right now. Your best bet is to ensure that we get a good candidate in the GOP primary in your area.

  • Slippster

correct me if im wrong here?

the REPUBLICANS drive the TEA PARTY MOVEMENT?

    WRONG!

i thought it was just all us Americans gathering under a common theme?
and NOT taking marching orders from either the left OR right?

i thought the tea party ppl are Libertarians?
so whats al this crap from “faucet face” about republicans ?

    SHES MIS-REPRESENTING THE MOVEMENT'S LEADERS!!
she is a bald face liar!

am i right or wrong here?

  • Tyler

Well, the SAD thing here is that what USED to be an UNDERGROUND movement has GAINED FAME…and of course WITH FAME…comes a PRICE.

In THIS particular case, people who DON'T REALLY stand for the principles of the Tea Party folks are jumpin on and now apparently FAKE Tea Party candidates are rising up out of the blue.

I KNEW that mass attention would CORRUPT it back when people didn't even know what the heck it was all about. Oh well. It was fun while it was PURE.
