Perry: 999 is a catchy slogan but Americans won’t trust Congress to leave it there

In the second half of this interview, Perry was asked to comment on his wife’s comments yesterday that the 9% sales tax will be 17% in New Hampshire because of state sales tax, and he says she’s right on. He doesn’t believe that Americans want to pay that high of a sales tax and said that while 999 is a catchy slogan, American’s won’t trust Congress to leave the 9s where they are.

Also, he sounded much better in this interview. He needs to stay away from his empathetic voice.
