This may be one of the highlights from yesterday that has gone fairly unnoticed. Turns out a pro-life activist managed to effectively protest abortion during the inauguration yesterday and kept from getting arrested…at least for a while.

NBC NEWS – An anti-abortion heckler during the inauguration festivities on Monday climbed a tree to avoid police.

Rives Grogan, a silver-haired man wearing a brown Carhartt-style jacket, had climbed up a tall, thin evergreen tree, protest sign in hand, near 1st and Maryland Avenue by the Capitol Building. The sign he held read, “Pray to end abortion.”

Grogan, who was not carrying identification, had a ticket and went through security screening, according to a police report. He has been a pastor at New Beginnings Christian Church in Los Angeles, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer, and he has twice disrupted Supreme Court proceedings.

As U.S. Capitol Police roped off the tree and propped a ladder up against it, the man kept climbing, reaching nearly 40 feet as he shouted, “Democrats are baby killers!” (He took a break when Beyoncé sang the National Anthem, politicker.com reported.)

When he climbed down the tree some time later, police arrested the man, identity unknown, and placed him in handcuffs. The crowd, frustrated by his disruptive shouts throughout the speeches, bid him adieu singing, “Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye.”

what was he arrested for? Not sure exactly where he was breaking the law there.

Those children that were murdered at Sandyhook elementary would have been legally murdered 7 years earlier.

I'd have rathered him show his manhood to Obama during the actual oath. If he was hung anything like N Vee (or whatever his name is) maybe Barry o would have bolted for the salami and never completed the swearing in. They would have than turned to Biden to fill in and found him fondling that biker chick he was so hot for during the campaign. With those two sidetracked that would bring us to the local tavern with the hopes of you know who being sober. OY yoi yoi, can we recover from this past five years?,,,,,,,,,,,,,not with the

Legalized murder of unborn US citizens is still murder of US citizens.

Kudos to this brave silver haired man for not just standing for, but climbing for his principles!

Babies murdered since Roe vs Wade was passed.

This man in the tree was the only one in the crowd there to represent them.

The man on stage? Voted for infanticide.

After having been raped multiple times, over days, and having been infected with syphilis, one can understand that thousands of German women in 1945 choose abortion, although some did not.

AFAIK, the women aborting their babies today have neither been raped multiple times, not have they been infected with syphilis - which is transmitted to the baby in the womb, and for which a cure on that mass basis simply wasn't available - nor are the economic and social circumstances even vaguely comparable to Germany in 1945.

So - why? Why this mass slaughter?

Government sex education and free condoms were supposed to correct ignorance or accidents. Didn't work, so they charge everyone else for free abortions for the irresponsible, who never have to pay for it or suffer any consequences. Disgusting

Yeah - same over here, where teen pregnancy is at a level of Third World countries. Unmarried teens, that is.

But it's actually worse: the teens read online and in their teen magazines that the Pill is bad, it'll make them . .. fat! Oh, and they'd have to see a GP to get them prescribed - horror! Perhaps even a nurse would check their private parts, how disgusting ...

I had that discussion with my step daughter over twenty years ago.

I'm afraid I told her point blank that with an abortion, more people would see her private parts, and would scrape around inside her, with all sorts of consequences, like becoming infertile.

And then I asked her why she wouldn't want a nurse take a good look when she's spreading her legs to her boyfriend anyway? And would she really want a baby at 17?

Well, being crass worked, in this instant.

"America needs no words from me to see how your decision in Roe v. Wade has deformed a great nation.

The so-called right to abortion has pitted mothers against their children and women against men. It has shown violence and discord at the heart of the most intimate human relationships. It has aggravated the derogation of the father’s role in an increasingly fatherless society. It has portrayed the greatest of gifts ~ a child ~ as a competitor, an intrusion, and an inconvenience. It has nominally accorded mothers unfettered dominion over the independent lives of their physically dependent sons and daughters. And in granting this unconscionable power, it has exposed many women to unjust and selfish demands from their husbands or other sexual partners.

Human rights are not a privilege conferred by government. They are every human being’s entitlement by virtue of his humanity. The right to life does not depend, and must not be declared to be contingent, on the pleasure of anyone else, not even a parent or a sovereign.”

I respect his bravery and convictions... he's spot on. However this approach won't do anyone any good.

I can understand why prayer might seem threatening to those who believe in abortion, but if they think prayer is harmful wait until they see God on Judgment Day. They'll be praying hard and wishing they had listened to the man up the tree.

Yeah, you are also singing this to unborn babies. Aren't your parents just sooo proud of all of you. I'm sure Obama is.

If the government gives weapons to the Mexican cartel, it's ok.

If the government gives weapons to the Muslim Brotherhood, it's ok

If the government gives armored vehicles to our local police departments, it's ok

Government officials and buildings are protected by armed security.

Government says killing one and a half million babies a year through abortion is good, but

allowing a citizen to own a gun for self defense, could lead to murder.

We elect and pay these people based on likability? We are nuts!

Except for the "we" part, you've got that right.

A brave man - well done.

Reading this post, and this one: "GOV. CUOMO PUSHES LATE-TERM ABORTION LEGISLATION IN NEW YORK"

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2013/01/21/Gov-Cuomo-Pushes-Late-Term-Abortion-Legislation-in-New-York

It suddenly occurred to me that there is a simple way of massively reducing abortions - and it would save money as well.

Just make a law which forbids the use of anaesthetics of any kind for that procedure.

Let those women actually feel how life is being ripped out of their wombs.

That's all.

Make Cuomo go first.

Good idea!

Sometimes I wish we had something like an MRI scanner, into which violent criminals and Cuomo could be strapped and which would make them experience exactly the pain they inflicted on their victims - over and over and over.

Same goes for abortion doctors.

Sorry, I'm having a bad day and feel a bit vindictive.

While we go about our daily lives today, 3,500-4,000 innocent, precious babies will be killed by way of abortion which our nation has placed its rubber stamp on as legal.

The same thing will happen tomorrow and the next day and the next............
