A girl who was raped at gunpoint on a college campus in Nevada is now trying to convince lawmakers to allow people who are licensed to carry firearms to be able to carry them on college campuses. A similar law was just passed in Arizona and this girl is making it her crusade to have this approved in as many states as possible.
She is in fact licensed to carry a concealed weapon but she wasn’t allowed to carry it on campus when she was raped. She believes if she had things would have been very different:
I know it sounds like a talking point, but she is correct in saying that those who intend to break the law are going to ignore the gun ban anyway. It just makes the people defenseless against those criminals. And they State Senator at the end who opposed it – a Democrat. Who woulda thunk!
