Turnabout is fair-play don’t ya’ think?

CNS News – A growing number of firearm and firearm-related companies have stated they will no longer sell items to states, counties, cities and municipalities that restrict their citizens’ rights to own them. According to The Police Loophole, 34 companies have joined in publicly stating that governments who seek to restrict 2nd Amendment rights will themselves be restricted from purchasing the items they seek to limit or ban.

Extreme Firepower Inc., located in Inwood, WV has had a longstanding policy that states:

“The Federal Government and several states have enacted gun control laws that restrict the public from owning and possessing certain types of firearms…If a product that we manufacture is not legal for a private citizen to own in a jurisdiction, we will not sell that product to a law-enforcement agency in that jurisdiction.”

York Arms, located in Buxton, ME released a statement following new legislation in New York:

“Based on the recent legislation in New York, we are prohibited from selling rifles and receivers to residents of New York. We have chosen to extend that prohibition to all governmental agencies associated with or located within New York.”

Quality Arms, located in Rigby, ID writes on their website, “elected officials have their own agenda to circumnavigate the truth and destroy the constitution of the United States.”

The site states: “Quality Arms Idaho will not supply and firearm or product, manufactured by us, or any other company nor will we warranty, repair, alter, or modify and firearm owned by any State, County or Municipality who infringes on the right of its citizens to bear arms under the 2nd Amendment.”

Yeah! Maybe some of the ammo stock will be back in stock soon for purchase. Tired of shooting 10g non cycling plastic training rounds.

I love to hear this and I have a friend who owns a gun shop and he has already cicked all of his cop buddies out. They are still friends but not allow to purchase anything in his store. Oops, feds, now what?

Unfortunately this action is too late to have any effect at all other than symbolic resistance. The Fed already has stockpiles of weapons and ammunition to supply a 30 yr civil war.

Why doesn't Wal-Mart speak out against our tyrannical government? Oh, I forgot, they are now working with them. The taxpayers will now be subsidizing health insurance for Wal-Mart employees. You are actually paying more for their products than the posted price. Smarten up America before it is too late. Does NBC now have a studio in the White House?

This is good news for sure. Thank you to all the companies participating!

Another way to level the playing field. Not the best way but level it will be.

And those who couldn't care less about 'the law' will still have and be able to get, whatever they want. :-(

Then it is time to join the ranks of those who do not care about the law. The law is being changed, we are not changing.

On the outside he was a gruff, no nonsense, 240lb, WW2 Military Policeman to the day he died. On the inside, he was the most fair, just and honest man you could ever hope to meet.

When he was right, he was right. When he was wrong, he was still pretty close to being right. ;-)

bjohnson55

He sounds like he was a no nonsense kick ass American and I am willing to bet he melted on the inside when you thanked him, I know I would if I ever hear it from one of my sons. Like I said before we are in serious shortage of "Old Fashioned" patriots like your step dad.

tinlizzieowner
tinlizzieowner

Techically, he was my step dad. My real dad crashed his plane and died when I was 7, in 1952. My step dad was the smartest man I ever met. He went from a 'grease monkey' to owning his his Corp. and retiring in the time he was my step dad, (1956 to 2007). He is the foundation of my conservative values.

Hard work, even harder dicipline, no nonsense and a devoted love for country. It took me forever to finally 'grow up' and realize what he was all about. I thank God every day he lived long enough for me to thank him for the (considerable) effort he put into raising me.

Registered guns will be confiscated guns. We have seen this throughout history.

My late father, a WW2 Army MP always had what he called a 'throw away piece'. If anybody broke into his home, that gun was going to end up in a dead criminal's hands.

Dead men tell no tales. It's mine now. ;-) ;-)

This is pretty good. Soon the police and other agencies will be crossing state lines to make their purchases....nah, Obama and Eric Holder will sue the companies or somehow force them to sell firearms to anti second amendment municipalities.

tinlizzieowner

Yup, they could always buy back what Obama and Holder gave to Mexico, right?

;-) ;-)

while i like and praise the companies involved, it doesnt matter until the big ones like s&w etc... do it. plus we need ammo suppliers to do it, feds have already bought BILLIONS of rounds recently, causing the rest of us to have it unavailable or very expensive.

good p.r. for the smaller guys though.

we need a boycott of the big "guns" so to speak until they do the same. im sure the govt wont mind though, they will buy their guns from china, communist to communist.

Here's a little humor for the day:

Woman Stops Grizzly Attack With 25 Cal Pistol

This is a story of self-control and marksmanship with an itsy bitsy shooter by a woman against a fierce predator.

What is the smallest caliber you trust to protect yourself?

The Beretta Jetfire 25 caliber:

The woman tells her story. “While out hiking in Alberta Canada with my boyfriend we were surprised by a huge grizzly bear charging at us from out of nowhere. She must have been protecting her cubs because she was extremely aggressive. If I had not had my little Beretta Jetfire with me I would not be here today!”

She added further. “Just one shot to my boyfriend's knee cap was all it took…….the bear got him and I was able to escape by just walking away at a brisk pace.”

In conclusion she stated, “It's one of the best pistols in my collection.”

SO if the police in Chicago and NY want guns, they'll have to buy them back from Mexico.

After Mexico they may want to get the weapons back from Benghazi and the Middle East also.

Obama wants every radical armed to the hilt, but not any law abiding American citizens.

Agreed, NSFT. It appears, actually, that the Obama regime has joined forces with the criminal elements against the law abiders. There's actually a word for this but for the life of me I can't find it. It's a fushion that takes place when a country is nearing collapse, both morally and economically. In truth, the fushion can be law abiders and criminals against a tyrannical government; government and criminals against law abiders; or government and law abiders against a thugocracy. At any rate, it does appear that our government is fusing with the criminals.

Consider that this regime protects and coddles criminals (just look at amnesty, the wooing and marriage of new illegals to the government teat, Fast & Furious, Benghazi, etc), and the criminals are the ones who perpetuate the crimes against mostly law abiders. The criminals will never respect gun laws, so by outlawing guns this government would knowingly be aiding and abetting the criminals, all while disarming the law abiders and rendering them unable to defend themselves from either street criminals or this regime's criminal intent of tyranny.

It's enough to make one's head explode.

You are spot on. The only thing that is going to save it now IS the Second Amendment right we all possess. Keep your powder dry. Our 2nd Civil War is well on it's way. The only thing that hasn't started yet is the shooting.

aliswell

I believe our country has already gone over the edge. Like the condemned on death row, it's a dead country walking. The final blow hasn't hit yet, but will. After that final blow is when things will get pretty awful, I suspect.

I mourn the loss of my country, but we didn't stay vigilant ~ a requirement for a free people.

notsofastthere
notsofastthere

Many have been awake for a long time, but being law abiding citizens we keep saying a real crisis hasn't happened yet. There is time. I fear that the crisis will have already exploded, before people protest in the streets and show rage. By then, it will already be too late. The damage to an entire nation will have already been done.

I really, really, want to be wrong.

Good for the gun companies. The gun companies can become the arms OPEC of the United States. Think about it. If all of the gun AND ammunition companies refuse to sell guns and ammunition to Federal and state governments that are taking away our Second Amendment rights, where are they going to go for their guns and ammunition? And since the liberals in Congress always demand that there be a "Buy American First" clause in every contract issued by Congress, the US government isn't about to go overseas for its guns and ammunition. Maybe that's why the government is stocking up on so much ammunition. Obama and his minions may be seeing this coming and want to get as much ammunition as possible before companies stop selling to the Feds. You never know.

Rshill7
Rshill7

Or they may be buying so much so we can't get it. Have you seen the shortages and the price spikes?

Supply and demand. Government sucking up all the supply. It's tough to spend a lot of ammo at the range because you don't know when more will come in.

No Open Thread, so here's another O/T just FYI (don't respond to this comment, we'll hit this again later):

Systemic Leaks Of Defense Secrets From NASA’s Ames Research Center, Investigation By FBI Being Stonewalled By Government

Once upon a time, something like this would occupy months of the news, become a major scandal, and result in people going to jail. Nowdays, it's standard operating procedure for Barack the Totalitarian.

I think I might start occasionally using Barack al-Husseini Vissarionovich Obama, in honor of both Barack's hero, Uncle Joe, and the Grand Mufti before him.

While I commend these gun manufacturing companies for their efforts, this boycott they're conducting isn't being done so on principle alone. They see the writing on the wall. They recognize the REAL intent of the government is to ban American civilians from owning guns. These civilians are also the gun manufacturers bread and butter. Ban the people from owning guns and these particular gun manufacturers will likely go under. So it behooves them to fight for 2nd Amendment.

Furthermore, nearly ALL US law enforcement agencies throughout the country use Sig Sauers and Glocks, from local to federal levels. So until these two gun manufacturers join the list of boycotters, the boycott will have little effect to no effect.
